Location Location Location

This rental was exactly as described. Very clean and spacious. It is close to the port and there were so many restaurants near to chose from. The neighborhood felt safe and we walked all around day and night. I would absolutely stay here again if visiting Marseillle.

Historic apartment at the epicenter of the Old Port

We enjoyed Marseille immensely and this apartment was in the heart of all the action! Close to cafes, good running routes, shops and grocery stores. The apartment is on the 4th floor so we were grateful to move luggage in the building’s elevator. Anik was very helpful and responsive to questions. Can’t wait to visit again!

Appartement vieillot

L’appartement n’est pas sans charme mais très vieillot, peu soigné, meublé de bric et de broc et un peu négligé. La porte d’entrée est très dure à ouvrir. La cuisine est sombre, la chaîne hifi poussiéreuse et ne marche pas. Dans la chambre de devant, la fenêtre qui éclaire la cuisine est en très mauvais état et devrait être remplacée. La baignoire est impraticable et la douche très acrobatique. Cet appartement me semble beaucoup trop cher pour les prestations offertes.

Beautiful apartment - well stocked, convenient, clean. Easy check-in and check-out. Lovely hosts ready to assist and/or recommend as needed. Perfect place to begin your exploration of Marseille. Would definitely rent again.

Great Location

Great location in the center of town near stores, cafes, and the port. Very large apt for local standards, with big windows, and nice footed tub. Drawback for us was record French heat with no a/c. We had to keep windows open and fan on at all time, very noisy at night from street below.

Very old building. Great location in old port. Large sitting area. Good kitchen. Only one toilet and one bathroom not enough for 6 in family. Very old broken furniture. Very noisy area. No air conditioning making summer visit very uncomfortable. Old bathroom very unsafe and uncomfortable to use old bath tub. Smaller and short beds together with no AC making very uncomfortable sleep.

Voyage de rêve à Marseille

Un grand Merci à Anick pour son accueil dans ce magnifique appartement! Anick s'est rendue disponible tout au long de la préparation de notre sejour et nous a donné de précieux conseils au moment de la remise des clefs (elle nous a indiqué les endroits à découvrir absolument à Marseille, où on pouvait faire les courses, la boulangerie, ..). L'appartement est très bien équipé(lave vaisselle(le bonheur!), wifi, station ipod, cuisine équipée) , spacieux (nous étions 6 et n'étions pas à l'étroit), et idéalement situé (50m du vieux port et du metro)! Appartement parfait pour un séjour entre amis (nous étions 6 étudiants âgés de 20 ans). Le plus de l’appartement : la vue sur le vieux port ! Le salon est arrondi avec 3 grandes fenêtre qui offrent une vue imprenable sur le vieux port! C'était génial, nous reviendrons avec plaisir! Encore merci à Anick pour sa disponibilité.

Idéalement situé et proche de tout

Les points positifs l'emportent sur ce bel appartement très bien décoré. Nous avons été charmée par Marseille et la propriétaire qui nous a donné de très bons conseils sur les restaurants. Nous le recommandons surtout en demi saison pour pouvoir fermer les fenêtres. L'ambiance du quartier est très animée, ce qui peut créer un léger désagrément si l'on cherche du calme. Pour autant, le choix était parfait et nous y reviendrons. Merci encore pour les bonnes adresses

Cosy comfort in Marseille

Our Australian family of 2 adults and 3 children aged 8-15 stayed in this stylish apartment for 9 nights in April, 2014. The Vieux Port district was a perfect base for our family to explore all the wonders Marseille has to offer. The apartment is roomy, full of charm and comfortable in its design. Everything was spotless and we were graciously allowed a slightly early check-in. The apartment's location is ideal - close to restaurants, metro stops, boats, the harbour, the shopping district where there are women's clothing stores galore and a lively Sunday scene. As a family, we felt very safe and noise at night was absolutely minimal. We bought our daily groceries from the small supermarket around the corner, where prices were very reasonable. Great bakery nearby for croissants every morning. Anik, the apartment's owner, is a charming women, whose communication was exceptional before and during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble and all queries were answered promptly. She even helped us make a medical appointment for our son, with an English-speaking doctor nearby. Afterwards, she emailed to enquire if we had been happy with the doctor she recommended and asked if our son was now feeling better. We have wonderful memories of our time in Marseille and were thrilled with our choice of this apartment. A special thank you to Anik for her generosity, kindness and professionalism.

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT

We really enjoyed this apartment. It's beautiful & has a great layout. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom suite is a real luxury and the kitchen is modern & well appointed. The view on the harbour is wonderful. The location is amazing! It's close to one of the best bakeries I've ever visited. The open air market is just a few blocks away and the metro stops provide good access & connections. We visited every Marseille sight possible by walking and also enjoyed eating at the small cafés and boulangeries that are steps away from the apartment. Our first meal was at a restaurant called Le Relais 50, and it was one of our favorites of our trip. The bouillabaisse was to die for! Thank you Anik for sharing your beautiful apartment with us and I look forward to coming back to Marseille and staying at one of your apartments. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation or a better place to stay, Thanks again.

Wonderful, just as promised!

We were treated to a truly elegant surprise when we stepped through the doors into this apartment. It was spacious, warm and inviting with many personal touches which made it seem like home for the week we were there. The apartment, is one of the most relaxing and calming places I have ever stayed. It was large enough for a family, who after travelling for a few weeks together, honestly wanted a little bit of space from one another. This place is HUGE, and the view onto the harbor, wonderful !!!. The owner, Anik gave us a great deal of information and we were able to shop and eat locally, emersing ourselves in the local culture. All of the tourist attractions and major shopping areas, including Galleries Lafayette, were just a short walking distance away. The apartment had absolutely everything we could need and it was spotlessly clean, a credit to the owner. Should we ever be fortunate enough to return to Marseille, we will make this apartment our first accommodation enquiry. This place was everything me and my family could hope for and more!

A great Thanksgiving week

My family of five stayed here Thanksgiving week. The apartment is clean and bright, perfectly located, beautifully and cleverly renovated . It is on the 4th floor with a wonderful view on the harbour (and an elevator for easy access). Safe neighborhood. Easy walking to great shopping and dining. It is near the major tourist attractions, boats, the metro station. The walks are beautiful. Great for pretending to live in Marseille! The apartment is a bit bigger than it appears in the photos. There was plenty of space for us. It was perfect for a week. The owner met us promptly on arrival and made sure we were happy with everything. The apartment was well equipped with everything we could have needed, however, with such and abundance of cafés and restaurants nearby we never used the stove and kitchen! Vieux Port is a lovely area to stay in and we thoroughly enjoyed our all too short visit to Marseille. We would stay here again. It is a great rental, in a great spot for a great price!!

Séjour de rêve à Marseille

"Nous avons passé une semaine de rêve dans ce magnifique appartement. Il est encore plus beau et spacieux que les photos ne le laissent entrevoir. Meublé avec goût, des meubles de famille et des objets chinés avec soin lui donnent une ambiance très chaleureuse... Nous étions vraiment à l aise ma femme et moi. La baignoire vintage dans la salle de bain était bien appréciable après les visites de la journée. Le lit est confortable, on y dort bien. La propreté est impeccable. Merveilleusement bien situé, il est au centre des principaux sites que nous avons visité à pied. Excellents croissants et gâteaux des 4 boulangeries de proximité. Ils agrémentaient nos petits déjeuners pris sur la grande table du salon avec vue sur le port et les bateaux. Merci Anik pour avoir pensé à tout. C''est bien mieux qu''à l hotel. Merci pour votre accueil si chaleureux, vos conseils de restaurants, de visites. Vous avez été notre guide et avez su nous faire partager votre passion pour cette superbe ville Marseille. "

"Apartment was in excelle...

"Apartment was in excellent condition and well presented after being renovated shortly before our stay. Location is fantastic, many many nearby amenities (food and drink) and public transport. The view down to the harbour and fish markets from the many windows is spectacular. The lift certainly makes it easy to get into and out of the building. We heard no noise from other apartments in the building but street noise was loud from the bars late at night. I probably would not bother a heavy sleeper or those sleeping in the "back" bedroom. A devine location and the perfect end to our stay in France."
