Lovely large and extremely well equipped house - it had everything we needed for a group of 7 adults. The space was well organised for a large group, with 3 ensuite rooms and a shared bathroom on the top floor. The outdoor area was great for both communal gathering and more secluded seating. Pool was small but very welcome.Guéthary is a friendly small town with several bars and restaurants. Great location for exploring the Basque region - San Sebastian is just a 40 minute drive away.

A fantastic property in wonderful Guethary, perfectly located near the beach and 5 mins walk into the village. We had a great week and the house was the ideal venue for 7 of us to celebrate three 50th birthdays and an 18th! Bedrooms, all with en-suite, were substantial and the house felt really spacious and beautifully decorated throughout. We enjoyed long lunches on the outdoor terrace and afternoons by the pool. Only thing missing really was a barbecue, although there is a plancha / flat-top for outdoor cooking. There is a train line close by, but certainly wasn’t a problem, and we barely noticed passing trains. Great and timely communication throughout with the hosts, who were flexible with our early check in and responded quickly to all and any questions.Make sure to visit the beach bar Chez Nadyn, 3 minutes down the hill. An amazing spot for lunch or sundowners - just don’t tell anyone!A perfect base for a holiday in the heart of the Basque Country - very highly recommended!!

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour, reposant. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié cette grande maison bien décorée, très confortable, bien placée avec vue sur la mer, au calme et à 2 pas du centre. La plage est toute proche. Il y a également une aire de jeux accrobranches pour les enfants (à partir de 3 ans).

Un endroit très agréable

Grande maison confortable pour notre famille ( 8 adultes et un enfant de 2 ans ), chambres spacieuses avec sdb toilettes et bonne insonorisation, lits confortables, espace extérieur suffisant, petite piscine sécurisée. Équipements corrects. Quelques défauts quand même : l’adresse fournie ne correspond pas à l’entrée pour véhicule, le descriptif ne parle pas de la voie ferroviaire, la vaisselle est juste en verres…. donc rien de grave, cependant la présence répétée d’intervenants pour le brome…. le robot piscine….. le jardinier….. l’utilisation répétée des passages et portillons nuisent gravement au statut de locataire pouvant profiter de sa location en toute tranquillité. Pour le prix il manquait quelques produits de base dans les sdb : type savons neufs et flacons de gel douche dans toutes les sdb. Les éclairages sont insuffisamment puissants.Mais bon c’était agréable au total.

Bonjour Philippe, ravie que la maison vous ait plue au final. Pour répondre à vos remarques: L'adresse correspond à l'arrivée du bas pour le parking. Celle du haut pour le courrier car certains en reçoivent. Je préviens toujours les locataires de cela avant leur arrivée. La voie ferrée traverse Guethary coté mer et n'a pas été perçue comme une nuisance pour les nombreux locataires qui séjournent dans la maison. Sa vue est protégée par des arbres. Mais effectivement, je vais le spécifier dans la location. La maison est calme. Pas de bruit de voiture comme dans beaucoup d'autres endroits de Guethary. Pour les détails de logistique, je réponds présente à ce qui manque ou m'est demandé ( verres, flacons de gel douche..). Donc, il suffit de m'en faire part et j'agis rapidement car les demandes sont très différentes. Effectivement, la personne qui s'occupe de gérer la piscine passe deux fois par semaine pour que vous n'ayez pas à le faire mais nous pouvons discuter des moments les plus opportuns pour vous ou même qu'elle ne passe pas du tout. Le jardiner, en règle générale, travaille le samedi entre deux locataires et ne passe pas en semaine. Merci de nous avoir laissé la maison aussi propre. Bien à vous. Christine

Séjour reposant dans une belle maison basque au calme. Belle région à découvrir. Propriétaire sympathique, accueillante et très réactive en cas de difficultés. Nous recommandons cette location sans hésitation.

Elegant, spacious family villa in great location near to beaches and chic restaurants

We booked a week away with an extended family and the holiday exceeded our expectations. Christine made the whole stay a complete pleasure. She communicated all information well in advance and responded quickly with additional advice.

Séjour calme et énergisant au Pays Basque

Accueil très chaleureux et contacts conviviaux. Maison basque familiale, confortable et spacieuse où l'on se sent bien très vite. Bord de mer visible et accessible à pied. Environnement résidentiel et tranquille au sein du village de Guethary près de Saint de Luz.

Lovely home

Christine was very attentive and responsive when I had questions. The house was even better than in the photos. Great taste in decor, lovely garden with several seating areas, refreshing pool with outside warm shower to use after the beach. The house was large enough for all of us without feeling at all cramped. The kitchen was well equipped and the utility was very functional. Overall the house was well thought through and obviously loved. Can’t wait to come back.

wir wurden von unseren gastgebern sehr herzlich empfangen . das haus und die gesamte anlage sind sehr gepflegt und die kurze distanz zum wasser ist grandios . auch im ortstzentrum ist man fussläufig sehr schnell . der gesamte aufenthalt war ein wirklich tolles erlebnis und wir werden gerne wiederkommen . vielen dank nochmal an unsere wirklich lieben vermieter

The large and beautiful, charming half-timbered house is typical for the Basque Country of the 1900's. It has a 900 sq.-m garden. The house was completely renovated in 2011. The apartment is situated 200 metres away from the beach, 5 minutes away from the village and all activities are nearby. Le Fronton and the village square, for example, where animations such as the typical 'pelote basque' ballgame are organised. There also are very sought-after restaurants with views of the sea and exquisite fish dishes (such as Hétéroclito, Le Madrid, Harotzel Costa, Les Frères Ibarboure, Le Poinçon, or Le Bas Basque). There are a lot of surf spots, but also beaches for swimming, relaxing, and so on. Guéthary is a jewel of the Basque Country. It is a well-preserved fishermen village.

The house offers a sixties design and decoration, very fancy and with noble materials. It offers a great comfort. There are five bedrooms with a private bathroom and toilet each. The house sleeps 12. Beds and high chairs for children are available. There is television, a home cinema, a Bose integrated sound system, free wireless internet, and a fireplace (wood provided). There also is a terrace with a view of the sea, a garden with trees and a barbecue. The living room is large (60 sq.m), and there is a kitchen and a utility room. Baby cots and high chairs are available. The house is secured with a digital lock and an electric gate: there are four car spaces available. During the low season, the house is also available for 'long weekend formulas' (3 days).
