Short title

Property was good, no complaints. Deducted 1 star on check in process since we had to call to get the key location and reception is not always great in the mountains.

Hello Ken, Thank you for taking the time to review the property. We certainly appreciate your business. We do like for our guests to contact the caretaker to discuss accessing the key. The caretaker information is given at the onset of the reservation and a reminder is sent a few days prior to arrival so there are no surprises. We do this so our guests know who to contact if they have a question while at the property or have any difficulty as they are traveling to the area. Ski Trip

House was very spacious and nicely appointed. Very clean, really nice heated floors. Only things I would say could be improved upon would be to have some more comfortable pillows, mounting a bigger tv on the wall with internet access so you can watch Netflix, and also the hot tub needs to be fixed so it doesn’t max out at 91 degrees. We didn’t get in it because it just couldn’t get hot enough. Aside from these three things, the house was really fabulous. Nice beds, nice decorations, very clean, fully stocked appliances, easy check in and check out. I would stay here again without hesitation.

It is well maintained and has a huge gated yard with great mountain views, a fire pit and outdoor dining area, hot tub and sauna. The home is clean and nicely appointed. Near the Arroyo Seco town area. Highly recommend! There are steps up into 2 of the bedrooms that are in an older section of the home and may be a consideration for some guests.

We have stayed all over Taos and it is hard to beat the location of Dreamcatcher. It easily accommodated our family of 5 and two grandparents. The property does need some maintenance. The back sliding doors are very difficult to open and one is missing a handle. More importantly the twin bed and bunk beds have mattresses that are nearly impossible to sleep on. They are very dated and I would not stay here again unless they are replaced. There is no access to the garage, which was not disclosed.

Better for vacation than WFH

Comfortable home and suitable amenities, nice location, hot tub, living areas and patio. Great stargazing at night. Not a good set up for anyone needing to work in the day, especially if more than two people are working given WiFi strength and lack of desks or desk chairs. For a weeks stay, paper goods should be better supplied. Contracting and coordination w property management company a bit burdensome as well but they are accommodating.

An unfortunately prime location.

Skip this headache dumpster fire property if you don't want to be stressing during your stay and during checkout. I reserved this place for a household trip. I was excited to score a good price on a place so close to Taos Ski Valley. However I was very disappointed with the overall experience. The house is 15 minutes from the slopes, in a quiet neighborhood, and is big. This is all great and the price was right. When you book this property Premiere Properties will reach out and make you sign a secondary lease. It's two pages and essentially says don't destroy the house and that premiere properties is to be held harmless. It's your typical weasel legalese document to remove any liability or obligation after they collect your money. So what are my actual issues. The house was dirty. I mean cobwebs from the ceiling, a filthy grill, a cloudy smelly hot tub, funky smelling towels and a mystery stain on the bed sheets I was supposed to use. What spurred me to really write this negative review was my 36 hour rib catastrophe. I spent 36 hours slow cooking multiple racks of ribs. To finish the ribs I needed to sear them on the provided grill. As I finish the first rack and place the next one the grill, a missing leg causes my entire 36 hours of work to topple. My char siu sauce comes crashing down down. Ribs and utensils are laid out on the dirty outside ground. My dinner is partially ruined. I was able to catch the large plate with some of the other ribs before that too fell. I am now sauceless and down several portions of meat. I try to salvage the dinner but the gas tank on the grill dies. I was infuriated. There has yet to be any rectification on premiere properties part. The issue stemmed from them not actually taking care of the property. The grill was broken and had a missing leg! No one had checked or cleaned it. No one replaced the gas. This is not a vacation property. It is a rental and you will be treated and expected to do half the cleaning. You will be charged charged messes even though they have a cleaning crew. The dumpster is a half mile away and your expected to remove all your trash and take it out. Strip all the linens and take all the used towels to the laundry and start the wash. It's actually pretty unbelievable considering the house is dirty to start with. I can't explain how much all of this dampens a fun vacation. I'll definitely pony up more to not stay here next time and I'd recommend you do the same.

We are very disappointed to see a guest not thoroughly satisfied with a stay in our property. We hope that visitors will continue reading more reviews to get a true sense of this fantastic home. The property was thoroughly cleaned prior to this guest's arrival and we take pride in providing excellent communication before, during and after reservations with all of our guests. If there is any issue, we are here around the clock to address any problems. We aren't certain exactly what happened with the leg on the grill, but suspect the guest was attempting to move the grill during the grilling process which caused the problems as laid out in his review. We have since purchased a new grill. Our guests are not expected to do any cleaning upon departure with the exception of rinsing dirty dishes, pot, pans etc... and placing them in the dishwasher. This guest was not charged anything for the mess they left behind. We aren't sure what prompted his comment but we would only charge guests for extra cleaning if the home has been left in terrible condition. It is our hope this review doesn't deprive you of the chance to enjoy Taos in this beautiful home. We are here to address any questions or concerns. -Premiere Properties Taos, NM

We were there for a month, so we got to know this property pretty well. Nancy, the property manager was amazing, always available and very nice. She had to get the oven and hot tub repaired, and she really came through. The good: Location, warm, beautiful house, comfortable beds. The bad: livingroom furniture (dead mouse in the sofa), fridge (loud, freezes everything in the crisper), stove and hot tub (both were unusable for a week), guest toilet (rocks back and forth) BBQ grill (missing a leg): all of these need to be replaced. Terrible lighting, dull kitchen knives (unsharpenable) no hair dryer, no instructions for the TV and it's 3 remotes (very confusing, never really figured it out). Sliding doors need adjustment, and there were holes in the bottom of the screens. Biting ants were coming in the cracks in the built in seating in the living room. Also, the outdoor space is poorly considered, and in such a beautiful place, it is a shame. If this house was treated more like a home, it would be the perfect getaway.

When talking to the broker, Gary, over the phone, I brought up the bathrooms 2 times. Both times Gary assured me that the home was a 2.5 bath. The house is not a 2.5 bath. It is a 2 bath. So be aware of this before renting. Sleeps 7 comfortably. Great hot tub, kitchen and fireplace. Nice club house too. The home sits right between the ski valley and the town of Taos. Both are about a 15 minute drive from the home. Very convenient. I would definitely recommend this house. Just be aware it is a 2 bath.

And the heated floors were great! My only complaint is the beds. None of us slept well because the mattresses are so uncomfortable. Hopefully they can update them soon. It really is a charming home.
