We loved this apartment and would love to return. The views from the terrace are outstanding and the apartment is clean and comfortable with all the amenities you need. Bonifacio is a great town with stunning views.

Stressful and disappointing except for the roof deck and apartment being in the historic house

What listing did not mention was: • The actual studio address is on Rue of Two Emperors 7 in the apartment building once occupied by Napoleon at the beginning of his career (there is a plague confirming that, and it is so cool!). • Provided by the owner hand-drawn map for the apartment location and parking was more like a treasure hunt map which local clerks in tourists’ information office could neither understand nor read and thus were unable to assist us. It took three desperate trips up and down a steep hill asking French speaking people for help to finally first pinpoint number 2 and start crying just looking at the extremely steep and rotten wooden steps upstairs. But thankfully it was given to us address, but it was the wrong one. I ran into a good Samaritan (thank God they still exist), and he called multiple times rental office or the owner to locate the rented studio. Parking number was wrong as well, so we had to literally drive around multiple times till I went again to the tourists’ information, and they indicated the parking even though the map had it confused P2 vs P3?! These two parking places have a very significant distance to drive in between. • Apartment is in the attic of very old 4-story building with very steep staircase plus the building itself is on the top of the fortress hill. Access by car is possible only by knowing the gate code which was never provided to us. Needless to say parking is outside the fortress at the bottom of the hill, and moving three luggage cases from parking first to the entrance door of the building and then to the entrance door of the apartment, and then over the spiral steps to the living area was very challenging and required advanced physical training. •Completely exhausted you arrive to your accommodation to find out that there is no bedding for the second bed, lack of toiletries, and it is not properly cleaned. The studio has an amazing roof deck and it is possible to sleep in more than four persons BUT in the sleeping bags. The kitchen is functional, BUT this studio has 2 crawling in sleeping spaces, double bed in “master bedroom” and twin bed in the second “bedroom". Both beds are very uncomfortable. Due to the attic nature of this studio you can access the double mattress by bending on one side, and by crawling only to the other. We bumped our heads constantly. Second "room"?: you can only get through the door frame by crawling, and one has to be very short and slender. No air either!

Cet appartement et sa terrasse sont géniaux : les équipements sont présents et adaptés mais surtout … cette vue et cet emplacement central en font un écrin pour se reposer au retour des randonnées et visites de la journée ! Hâte de revenir

La vue, la vue et la vue...

Séjourner dans la citadelle de Bonifacio se mérite... lorsque vous pensez avoir terminé de monter et descendre des escaliers, il y en a un nouveau...Le chemin nécessaire pour flirter avec le paradis...L'appartement que nous avons occupé se trouve au point le plus haut de Bonifacio donc aux portes du paradis et ce n'est pas peu dire.En entrant dans l'appartement, il ne faut pas chercher un écran 65" et une connexion WIFI haut débit... inutile, le bonheur se trouve derrière la baie vitrée ou derrière la porte fenêtre. Vous y trouverez un écran à 360 qui change en temps réel et en hyper haute définition...La vue, la vue, la vue... à toute heure de la journée vous pourrez admirer la citadelle, la montagne, le maquis, le port et la mer... Dans l'appartement, l'essentiel y est sans chichi sans tape à l'œil, tout le nécessaire pour y passer un très bon séjour.Les visiteurs de plus de 1,8m devront accepter de faire attention dans les 2 chambres pour éviter de discuter d'un peu trop prêt avec les poutres du toit mais après une première rencontre aucun doute l'attention y sera (le toit supportera toutes les tempêtes...).Bref nous avons avons passé un séjour merveilleux dans l'appartement et encore plus sur la terrasse dans une citadelle où les raisons de s'émerveiller sont nombreuses et les rencontres très agréables. Merci à nos hôtes de nous avoir donner accès aux portes du paradis...

Vorgefunden wie beschrieben!

Die Wohnung ist genau so wie beschrieben und für Paare ideal. Für Kinder und Menschen mit gesundheitlichen Einschränkungen (4. Stock, ohne Aufzug, was in einem historischen Gebäude Normalität ist), ist sie unserer Meinung nach nur bedingt geeignet. Das gilt auch für die Parkplatzsituation in Bonifacio. Für uns war das aber kein echtes Problem, Dank der Unterstützung der Vermieter mit der Parkkarte. Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen, vor allen den Blick von der Terrasse.

Über den Dächern von Bonifacio

Der steile Aufstieg über mehrere Treppen lohnt sich! Die einzigartige Wohnung mit Terrasse liegt inmitten der Haute- ville Bonifacios. Die Rundumsicht von der Terrasse und Wohnung sind wunderbar! Auch sehr ruhig war es, alles tiptop. In der Wohnung fehlt es an nichts, Küche ist auch gut eingerichtet. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und helfen jederzeit bei Anliegen. Gerne wieder!

Emplacement +++ Appartement très cosy Vue sur le « grain de sable » à couper le souffle… Peut être un point d’amélioration (à voir si possible) : une petite climatisation serait un plus dans l’appartement (surtout en plein été !). Des ventilateurs sont à disposition dans l’appartement pour compenser. On reviendra très certainement !

C'est le lieu idéal pour séjourner à Bonifacio.

En plein coeur de la vieille ville. Avec une terrasse sur les toits qui offre une vue magnifique sur les falaises de Bonifacio mais également sur les montagnes côté terre. Si les rues et les terrasses des restaurants sont très fréquentés en contre bas, seuls le son des goelands et de quelques chants corses parviennent jusqu'à vous. Le propriétaire est très prévenant et vous propose de vous prendre à l'avance une carte d'abonnement au parking de la ville, indispensable à Bonifacio.

Petit nid douillet tout en haut de la citadelle!

Nous avons adoré notre séjour en famille (1 adulte et 3 enfants) dans ce très joli appartement très bien situé dans la citadelle avec une double vue sur les montagnes et les falaises....la terrasse est top! C'est très joliment décoré et il y a tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner comme à la maison (micro-onde, toaster, machine à café, etc...). Très belle chambre parentale avec un grand lit confortable, le seul bémol est l'autre minuscule chambre sous les toits, valable pour un enfant ou deux en bas âges, car au-delà du minuscule espace, il n'y a pas de véritable matelas pour dormir confortablement. La salle de bain est moderne et la douche fonctionne parfaitement. Sinon, les propriétaires sont vraiment charmants et toujours joignables. Si je reviens à Bonifacio, je relouerais cet appartement sans hésiter.

Stairway to heaven!

This apartment at the very top of the old city was beautifully renovated and appointed with everything you need for a delightful stay in the charming town of Bonifacio. Loved the terrace, which is quite large and affords magnificent views. Yes, you have to climb four flights of stairs and be careful not to bump your head in the loft style bedroom, but in our opinion this did not detract in any way our thorough enjoyment. Highly recommend this place. Communication with management was easy and responsive.

Les enfants ont adoré la petite chambre avec la porte à leur dimension. Beaucoup de plages et de ballades à proximité. Le parking peut être éloigné, ne pas avoir trop de bagages.

LIEU PRIVILEGIE

Nous venons de passer 10 nuits dans cet appartement de Bonifacio. Arrivée un peu chaotique, seuls au milieu des touristes dans les ruelles étroites de la vieille ville que nous ne connaissions pas.... Appartement rénové où il ne manque rien. Peut-être un peu compliqué au niveau chambre pour une capacité au-delà de 2 personnes. Certes, à Bonifacio nous passons notre temps à monter et descendre entre la haute ville et le port mais aussi les 3 - 4 étages qui mènent à l'appartement. Mais quel plaisir une fois là haut ! Au calme (selon les périodes vous aurez la chance d'entendre des chants corses au restaurant plus bas) et quelle vue ! Vraiment magnifique, d'une réelle beauté et on ne s'en lasse pas ! (côté mer surtout) Très bien placé. Nous y reviendrons surement.
