Great time at the chateau

The chateau was a great base for our explorations of the area. Monflanquin is picture perfect. We dined out there twice at L’effet Madison (excellent!) and went to market day on Thursday to purchase our dinner for the night. We also went to a wine tour in and around St Emilion, visited the chateau at Monbazillac, spent a day in Bordeaux, visited Domme, Beynac, and Castelnaud on the Dordogne, spent time in the nearby bastide Monpazier, and travelled to the Grotte de Roufignac to take the train there to see cave drawings. The chateau and grounds were quite nice and so spacious. Most mornings we went out to get delicious pastries and bread at Andraline’s.

Fantastic

We celebrated me and my husbands birthdays with our big family, children and grandchildren. We had an amazing time. The Castle was perfect for adults as for our small grandchildren of 1,5 years of age. It was very hot in july, when we where there, but inside the castle it was cool. It was much space for all 11 of us, and every beedroom had there own lovely bathroom. We enjoyed the castle so much, that we spent most if our time there, in the pool, eating food in the outdoor kitchen, or playing with the kids. We all loved it.

Fabulous Chateau for a family celebration!

The photos just don’t do this place justice! A beautiful chateau with a fabulous pool and outside kitchen, huge rooms and all bedrooms en-suite. We were a family from different continents celebrating a 70th birthday. Ages ranged from 2 -72 and it was the perfect place. We were extremely lucky with the weather and made good use of the pool, table tennis table, boules and the amazing outside kitchen. Beautiful views and a lovely walk up to pretty Monflanquin. The communication with the owner was faultless as was the Guardian who ensured we had everything we needed during our stay. Would recommend to anyone and hope to return one day.

The most beautiful chateau

We have just spent a week in the Chateau Secretary with our family ranging from 4 to 72 years old. Everything about the chateau was superb ranging from the general appearance and comfort - comfortable beds and excellent bathrooms to the brilliantly equipped kitchens. The weather was wonderful so we spent all our time in the pool and outside kitchen and living barn where we bbq’d every evening. The pool was clean, the loungers extremely comfortable and above all when not in use able to be locked securely from small children. Covered parking for three cars, badminton, table tennis, children’s toys. Everything had been though of and the guardian, Mohammed, was charming and helpful. All in all I can’t speak more highly of the property as a whole not forgetting its great position for d daily outings to the lovely local villages.

Our Magical Stay at Château Secretary

5 ***** (stars) from us! We were absolutely blown away by this outstanding and beautiful castle. We had plenty of space with 5 of us staying here! The outside kitchen area was well used and enjoyed by all. Lovely to have a piano to play for others to enjoy. So peaceful & relaxing. Great size pool, fun was had by all. Certainly a holiday to remember. Excellent for family gatherings or entertaining for friends. Mohamed (the guardian) was extremely helpful and offered some fantastic suggestions for local vineyards and restaurants, as did Alexandre. All of which were marvellous. Location was perfect, with just a mile to pick up your fresh croisants and bread (what couldn't be better!) Wonderful view of Monflanquin town. We were really lucky to see the supermoon along with Saturn with the clear night sky sat outside on our last evening. A perfect and magical ending to our holiday. The Rogers family

Lovely château, great customer service.

Was exactly as described, a beautiful renovated château. The facilities with the outdoor kitchen are great for families, we spent most of our time outdoors. The pool is lovely and gets both sun and shade. The garden area is really secure and plenty of space to push the babies to sleep in their prams! The service really stands out. Fantastic communication from the start, really helpful sending us pictures of the equipment for the babies. Great communication when we arrived, during our stay and at departure. This is the kind of property you want to return to.

Beautiful chateau with wonderful facilities

This is the second time we have stayed at Chateau Secretary and we were as happy as we were 4 years ago. Well equipped and comfortable, lovely pool, easy access to village and shops. Excellent local manager, Mohamed, who welcomed us and helped with problems had with one of our cars.

Superbe Château moderne

Un magnifique séjour pour toute la famille. (10 personnes). Un site enchanteur et tranquille…un vrai château confortable et moderne avec la bastide de Monflaquin en toile de fond. Superbe!!! Un espace BBQ avec cuisine extérieure entièrement équipée qui a fait la joie de nos soirées. Un seul bémol, la disponibilité du wifi est insuffisante ( coin bbq et piscine). Je recommande assurément et on y reviendra

Awesome Chateaux

Our group stayed at this Chateaux 26th May 2018 until 2nd June 2018. Our holiday was amazing despite the weather! Rained everyday we were there! The Chateau Secretary was stunning and couldn’t have asked for more. It was so beautiful and one of the best venues I have ever stayed in. We would recommend this Chateau to anyone. The Chateau was fully equipped with everything that we needed which sometimes does not happen at other venues. The Chateau was child friendly too which was just want we needed. Mohammed was extremely helpful with any request we had, always very prompt and on hand which was really good. The food that we ordered in from the restaurant in Montflanquin was excellent and well worth the money!! Overall despite the weather we loved our holiday and hopefully Be back again someday. Highly recommended.

Un endroit magique

Nous venons de passer deux semaines avec quatre couples d'amis et plusieurs enfants au Château de Secretary. L'endroit est encore plus beau en vrai qu'en photo! Le confort est assuré (literie, merveilleuse cuisine d'été super équipée, vaisselle en nombre, grands espaces et intimité pour tous) et chaque coin du château et du jardin est plein de charme. Mohamed, le gardin, est très accueillant et disponible en quelques minutes en cas de souci. Un grand merci à lui et aux propriétaires, qui ont su rendre ce lieu si agréable.
