Enjoyed our time, the house was great. No major issues. The small refrigerator in the basement wasn’t working and someone arrived to take a look at it within an hour of the email being sent. We ended up leaving early because of hurricane Erin, weren’t sure what to expect.

This was a wonderful property and we had a great stay. Can't give it a 5, but I'd do 4.5 if I could! Elevator was great and a super benefit for my husband and me (the grandparents) as we were both having mobility issues. We were able to manage the stairs over the dunes though-- in part because we didn't have to trudge the ones at the house all the time. Easy walk to the beach-access walkway, as well as to the community pool and tennis/pickleball nets. Loved how the dining table accommodated the 12-13 of us. We used the rental credit for four bikes, and they were well used. Downsides: Toilets not all cleaned when we arrived; I wondered if it had been vacant for awhile, because I know toilet bowls can get rings around water line when there's no one using them for awhile. Suggestion: Cleanliness should be checked by rental agent.It was great to have room around the dining table for all of us, and I wished there were sufficient chairs on the deck that we might have all sat around out there together.

Fantastic Week

We enjoyed our stay at 70 Steps. It comfortably fit 3 families (13 total people). The house was immaculate upon arrival - both inside and out. The king beds (2 of them) are super comfy. We cooked several nights and the kitchen had plenty of utensils and supplies. The elevator was handy for bringing groceries up to the kitchen. The walk to the beach took a couple minutes. You do climb some steps and have to walk over a dune, and then back down some steps to get on the beach, but the walk was not far at all. Plenty of parking for 4 cars. The pool is on the smaller side and perfect for cooling off. It is not a diving pool, so be aware of that. This was out first trip to Corolla and the house made our vacation extra memorable. Thank you!

Love 70 Steps

Beautiful home, perfect set up for our family ranging from grandparents to young families with toddlers to young adults. Kitchen is super well stocked with gadgets, pots, pans, glassware, dishes. We cooked all week and loved it. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Family vacation

The house was a great size and layout for multiple families. The location close to the beach was perfect and the neighborhood kid friendly. Loved biking to some local restaurants and businesses, flying kites in the morning, watching whales from the shore, relaxing on the patio and walking the beach! Wonderful trip!

Excellent

The house was beautiful and everyone was comfortable. It was close to the beach (the steps to the beach were pretty high though. If we rent again we will use the beach set up service!) The pool was well maintained. I was surprised that there were so many books and games at the house! We brought our own but next time we wont have to! We had a great time!

Vacation rental review

The house was bright and spacious. We kitchen was very well organized and stocked with all of the items that we needed to make cooking for our family a breeze. One area of improvement would be the cleaning service. The floors in the kitchen/main living area, stove and shower glass doors were dirty. When we were leaving, the cleaning person arrived 1.5 hours prior to our check out time and waited in the driveway, which made us feel rushed leaving.

Excellent

The house is well furnished and exceptionally clean. The ocean view from the upper deck is great given the house is a few lots back from the dunes. We enjoyed the backyard, swimming pool. and the pool table in the rec room. And, the elevator is a definite plus.

House was nice and well kept. The pool was way too small, more of a big hot tub and 92 degree water in it. Elevator was a big help as was the early check in. The steps over the dunes are way too much to handle carrying coolers, kids and beach chairs. No shade in the pool area nor are there any umbrellas

Lovely and spacious home. Very well-equipped kitchen. Only suggestion is to add some rockers or lounge chairs on the middle level deck and an umbrella at the pool for shade. House was very clean and maintained nicely. Credit for beach gear rental was definitely appreciated.

70 Steps

Everything was perfect. We highly recommend this place and plan to go back. Elevator was such a plus for our Mother and also for groceries. In case people are curious, there are are handful of beach chairs at the house (I think 6 or 7).

Ideal Location

This house had the perfect layout for our family of 9 and an ideal location. Literally steps to the beach and it was great to ride our bikes to town so we didn’t have to worry about parking. The property was very clean upon arrival and both check in and check out was a breeze. We look forward to renting this property again in the future.

Very nice home close to the beach with swimming pool

The property was very nice to stay at. It included an elevator, which was great for my father-in-law who wouldn't have been able to use the stairs. It includes a pool and is super close to the beach. The only negative comments I have are, I received an email less than 48 hours of our stay, stating that they needed the names, ages and IDs of all the people who were staying at the property and if we didn't provide they would deactivate the entry code. It said they had trouble with people before who didn't take care of the property, but we are family coming down with small kids and some of us had already left a day in advance. It was a bit of an aggressive email to send in such short notice and to say they would deactive entry code was really unneccessary. Also there were no beach toys or toys for the pool and only a few chairs for the beach. For how much we pay for such a nice property I would have expected more stuff to be supplied there. However, it still was a very nice, clean property and very close to the beach!

Perfect

Me and 11 of my family members stayed at this property. The cleaning crew was still present upon arrival and they were so helpful & polite. The house had everything we needed. Age range 9 months to 87 years. With 4 floors the elevator made it possible for my grandmother to be where she wanted throughout home. Will def be renting again in the future.

Spring break stay

Enjoyed our time at the house very much . Would suggest any seniors staying please be careful in the showers. Suggest bringing a mat . Would return again !!!
