Mazirbe is a getaway from the world. Hardly any phone reception, no internet. Instead there are miles and miles of a green, fresh pine forest. You can go pick berries, mushrooms or just for long, healthy walks. If forests are not in your fancy, there is a white sandy beach! During summers and early autumn water gets warm enough for swimming. Usually you can have the beach almost to yourself - this remote location is far away from popular routes.

If you visit during the spring-summer months, experience shortest nights with 1-2 hours between sunset and sunrise. Usually a dusky red glow during the night replaces the black winter sky. Because of the Northern location, bloom of various flowers and plants is still at the very beginning during May/June.

Visit during summer if you want to experience the heat and how amazing this location is for relaxation and reflection. Fresh, countryside food is available in the village daily, including fresh fish. Our cook will make something amazing for you!

During later months, don't hesitate. The water in the sea is still warm from summer, the night sky shows you the entire milky-way! If you are a fan of shooting stars, this is the place to be. Sauna and hot food is aplenty during the Sep-Oct period and is a welcome retreat before the busy winter.

Mazirbe has the only store within 20 to 70km radius (depending on the direction), cafe, many historical sites, stories, guides and impressions.

We rely on local farmers and their stock - all of our food is bought from great, hardworking people - supplying fresh meat, dairy products, locally-grown vegetables, individually crafted local foods (Sklandrausis, for example), berries, mushrooms and when the sea has the right conditions our village fishermen sell finger-licking good fresh fish.
