Manitou Lodge is well-situated for exploring Telluride and the nearby area. Most anything is within walking distance—trailheads, shops, restaurants, festival sites, gondola. That’s helpful because parking in Telluride is quite scarce and the lodge does not have designated parking, just a pass that allows you to park in available slots in a several block area. We parked the car once and left it until we were ready to leave. Accommodations are nice. This unit has a kitchenette, so you can fix meals if you wish, a help in expensive Telluride. A light continental breakfast is provided. As the unit is next to the patio and hot tub, noisy guests can be an issue, though the lodge does post quiet hours from 10 pm - 8 am. One complaint-no Wi-Fi reception in the smaller back bedroom. Overall, no big complaints.
