Very nice cottage in a quiet area

At the arrival time the owner was present at the cottage location. Even though we speak some french it was very helpful that Steve and Sue are English which makes the communication a lot easier. After a short introduction Steve showed us the cottage and gave an explanation of the different rooms and equipment. The cottage equipment is very complete and well maintained. One of the main purposes to select this cottage is the location. It's very quiet, no main roads or traffic anywhere nearby and still a lot to see in the vicinity. Conclusion: this cottage is not expensive for what you get and deserves the 5.0 score as indicated. Highly recommended!

Schönes gemütliches Ferienhaus in ländlicher Umgebung

Wir haben zwei tolle Wochen bei Steve und Sue verbracht. Das Ferienhaus ist geräumig und sehr gepflegt. Die Lage ist ziemlich ruhig, dennoch sind sowohl Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (der nächste größere Supermarkt ist ca. 15 Minuten entfernt) als auch größere Städte oder Strände gut erreichbar. erreichbar.Langweilig wird es dort nicht.

Lovely en Cosy Cottage

We received a warm welcome from Stephen and Sue, accompanied by some agricultural produce from their farm. This couple, who have consciously chosen this, are willing to assist you with all kinds of things to make you feel comfortable. A lot has been thought of in the furnishing of the cottage. Details! It is wonderful to come back quietly and comfortably after a day trip and, if possible, to sit on their lovely terrace. The beds are very good, an important issue for us. It is a wonderfully wide kitchen worktop, with a washing machine underneath. The animals on the farm also gave a wonderful feeling of being far away from the busier life in the Netherlands. For us this was a first introduction to Brittany, and to these very nice people who have certainly contributed to this in word and deed.

Wonderful stay in exquisite Britanny countryside

Steve and Sue 's cottage is located in a practical location of Centre Britanny with good access to touristic sites and highlights of Britanny. We really enjoyed the nature walks in the Parc régional naturel d'Armorique and the Celtic history surrounding it. Our hosts were very welcoming and made us feel at home right away. We really enjoyed having nice conversations with them and getting extremely useful tips for visits during our holiday. The cottage is really beautiful and well-furnished with all amenities available for a longer stay. You will also be able to enjoy a gorgeous view of nature with spectacular sunsets. If you like petting dogs and cats (or even goats and sheeps), this is definitely the best location! Everyone on the farm will make you feel really welcome! We strongly recommend this cottage and Steve and Sue as hosts to all future travelers!

Schönes Ferienhaus in super Lage und nette Vermieter

Schönes, gepflegtes Ferienhaus. Alles an Ausstattung vorhanden, was man für den Urlaub braucht. Sehr ruhige, trotzdem zentrale Lage. Alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gut erreichbar. Toller Ausgangspunkt für Strand, Wanderungen, kleine und große Städte. Die Vermieter sind super nett und geben tolle Tipps, trotzdem völlig unaufdringlich. Unser Sohn durfte bei den Hoftieren helfen und war total begeistert. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und kommen hoffentlich bald wieder.

Exceptionnel!!!

Nous garderons d’excellents souvenirs de notre séjour chez Sue et Steve. Le gîte est spacieux et très confortable. Il est idéalement situé au cœur de la campagne Bretonne ce qui permet de faire des visites très variées( bord de mer ou à l’intérieur des terres). C’est un havre de paix idéal pour un séjour en famille avec en prime le plaisir de découvrir les animaux de la ferme et de profiter des explications de nos hôtes. Sue et Steve sont adorables et leur accueil très chaleureux. Nous recommandons vivement ce gîte et espérons pouvoir y retourner pour de prochaines vacances!!!!

In Aug 2014 Steve took early retirement and we decided to move abroad. Having spent much of our childhoods in the country we wanted to start a small farm with a few animals. Having enjoyed several holidays in Brittany we decided it would be a great place to live. We would like to share this with our guests and give them the opportunity to spend time in a truly peaceful and beautiful rural setting.

Brittany is an area of outstanding natural beauty with hardly any industry and very few cars. The most likely cause of a traffic jam is a farmer moving his cows down the road or a tractor. Our small farm is set in a tiny hamlet of a few houses surrounded by stunning scenery. In our area most people speak Bretagne a Celtic language as well as French. Bretagne culture is very Celtic in origin and they have their own bagpipes. The Bretagne people are very warm and friendly and we have fantastic neighbours

The surrounding countryside is perfect for walking and cycling. It is also a great central base for exploring Brittany. The coast is within easy reach and there a many old towns and historic sites to explore. There are also many local markets in the surrounding towns. We also have sheep and free range chickens on our farm. Our ewes will lamb in late March through to early early June.
