My son and I greatly enjoyed our stay.
The owner is a friendly man, easy-going, with whom I practiced my rather rusty French ;-)
The chalet is roomy - there's enough place for 6 adults - and it's located on a hill with a great view of the village of Ventron below and the skislopes on the other side of the valley.
The sauna is there and works fine according to my son. We also enjoyed the woodstove on colder days, and the shower. The kitchen is good and there's a dishwasher.
There's ample room to park 2, maybe 3 cars. Ventron is a small village that has a couple of restaurants and a "Tabac", but no supermarkets.
The "Hautes Vosges" are scenic and great for hiking and driving around on a motorcycle or car.
Note that you have to bring your own bedlinnen, towels and bin liners. If you want to use the woodstove, bring your own kindling to start the fire.
The beds are 1.9 m long, so taller people like me will have their feet stick out.
The deposit and electricity bill (not included, but fair price per kWh) need to be paid in cash.
