Paradise

Had a wonderful, relaxing stay in Casa da Avó, I didn’t want to leave. The house, the garden, the scenery were just fantastic, I couldn’t have asked for more. It is actually even nicer than in the photos. I had two dogs with me and they were so happy with the huge garden. Can totally recommend a stay here.

Simplement parfait

Situation parfaite pour le calme et la détente. Besoin de visites et de divertissement, Monção, la ville est à 10mn, Viana do Castelo a 1h, Porto a 1h30. L’Hôte suit ces visiteurs en prenant des nouvelles et le gérant est très disponible et agréable. Nous étions une famille avec 3 enfants et deux chiens. Le temps passé à la Casa de Avo est passé beaucoup trop vite. Merci encore pour ce séjour.

Casa bem equipada e cuidada, num local sossegado Ótima piscina e excelente espaço exterior. Bom acompanhamento por parte do anfitrião e disponibilização de um pack de boas-vindas. Aconselharia a amigos. Apenas uma sugestão: realizar a limpeza do eespaço exterior apenas após a saída dos hóspedes.

Beautiful and very well equipped villa with stunning pool and grounds

We stayed in this lovely property for a week and had the best experience. The villa itself is fantastic - it has everything you could possibly need including a bbq and pizza oven for lovely chilled evenings in its beautiful grounds. The kitchen is fully equipped too. Watch out for the mosquitos eating outside though - we found lighting citronella candles helped. The outside area is beautiful - the pool is huge (12 metres) and the grounds are very well kept. We spent most of our days with our kids here and had a great time playing. The villa provides all the towels too so you can pack light ;-) The area is very remote however everything is a short drive away - there are many amazing restaurants and wineries right on your doorstep. We would recommend Adega do Sossego in Melgaco and Monte da Mina Steakhouse in Moncao - both excellent food and service if you don't fancy cooking. Valenca is a little further afield for food but is well worth a visit to its town which is situated in a very old fort. Everything here was wonderful for us and the family were so kind and welcoming - communication was always easy and helpful. We would love to come back soon!

Un agréable séjour dans un pavillon de charme

Nous avons particulièrement apprécié l'acceuil chaleureux qui nous a été réservé lors de notre arrivée dans le logement (une visite guidée de la ville de Monçao proche du logement nous a bien aidé pour trouver les commerces proches, restaurant etc...) . Nous avons également apprécié le calme et la sérénité des lieux. Une piscine agréable après une journée de visite et un logement charmant, sans oublier une vue magnifique sur la vallée. Nous recommandons cette résidence. Et un grand merci à Anna Maria pour sa gentillesse et ses légumes frais. A bientôt Cordialement

Enjoying fantastic views in a beautiful garden!

We had such a fantastic time! The place is very private and quite. The facilities are very good. We loved the garden and swimming pool. The surrounding is not at all touristic, however with a car there is plenty nice places to visit. We have been walking around through vineyards and small villages in the surrounding with great pleasure. The owners have been very helpful and responsive. Great place for quite holidays! Highly recommended.

Vacances très reposantes dans un cadre magnifique

Une semaine de repos dans un cadre et une propriété magnifique. Villa de caractère, accueillante, soignée et aménagée avec beaucoup de goût. Le jardin est en harmonie avec les constructions en pierres. La piscine permet aux jeunes de bien s'amuser et aux plus grands de faire un peu d'excercice. Nous reviendrons pour profiter et découvrir un peu plus cette belle région.

Vacances très reposantes dans un cadre idylique

Tout était conforme à l'annonce voir plus. Accueil des propriétaires très agréable. Les lits sont très confortables, tout était très propre. Calme et vue magnifique. Pendant que certains profitent de la piscine, d'autres bouquinent sur les transats à l'ombre des arbres... Nous avons eu un très beau temps et des températures très agréables. Tout le monde était ravis (1 couple et 3 enfants de 7 à 15 ans). Nous n'avons pas trop utilisés les vélos car les alentours sont vallonnés. Par contre, le canyoning et les randonnées dans le parc national de Penêda-Gerês (à 15 kms environ) sont accessibles à tout le monde (différents niveaux sont proposés). Nous reviendrons ! Christel

Excellent accueil, prestations de qualités, vacances de rêve

Tout est fait pour le confort des vacanciers. Accueil très sympathique avec de petites attentions très agréables. La maison est très belle, fraîche grâce à ces murs en pierre. Le jardin est vraiment magnifique, la piscine, un vrai bonheur. Entre les visites aux alentours, la piscine, le salon de jardin ombragé, les bains de soleil très confortables... Nous sommes enchantés de notre séjour et notre fille de 5 ans n'a pas fini de nous en parler ! Merci !

Un havre de paix dans un environnement magique !

Une semaine de repos complet dans ce cadre magnifique avec une vue dégagée sur les montagnes. On rêve dans la piscine.. Le jardin est en harmonie avec l'ensemble.
