We stayed at Harveys Hideaway Lodge during the 2nd week of Easter Hols, 2018.Previosly we have stayed in Newport, Rookley, Sandown or Thorness Bay so staying in Bembridge was a 1st for us Unfortunately the weather had been very poor until our arrival so everywhere was muddy and wet, this was not a problem as the lodge had a brilliant bath with a shower handset, our dog had more baths than we did, and there was a Miele hoover too. However the 2nd bathroom/ensuite also has an excellent shower which we, the humans, loved. The lodge was very clean and had all the kitchen appliances & utensils that we needed, a very large fridge/freezer and ample storage space. The beds were very clean & comfortable, with nice fresh linen, and lots of wardrobe and drawer space As it was Low Season we had no problems parking in the carpark behind the Lodge, but we did not get to enjoy sitting on the decking around the lodge as it wasn't warm enough, but it was a suitably fenced & gated area for the dog until we'd got our walking boots off and were ready to clean her. We are not really interested in the clubs or restaurants as we like to do our own thing, but the children's play area was covered over and nicely illuminated and clean. There is a shop on the site which is limited and expensive, but if you do your homework before you arrive you'll have found at least Tesco Extra in Ryde or better still, Aldi in Lake just on the outskirts of Sandown or maybe Asda in Newport, depending on how you arrive on the island. We loved our stay at Harvey's Hideaway Lodge and would love to come back.
