My fiancé and I stayed in this beautiful villa for a week this past July. Before arriving we were ecstatic to be spending a week in what seemed like a truly Tuscan villa. Upon arrival our jaws nearly dropped. The villa was not only a classic piece of art, but the entire property was gorgeous beyond belief. Words will do this place no justice, but I will definitely try.
I'll begin with the villa itself, which is really the guesthouse of the entire property but it is far enough from the upper house to be entirely private. Also, for a guesthouse it was fully functional and pretty darn big. It had a full kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom, and bedroom, in addition to a connected but separate room on the side that had the washer and dryer. We were greeted by the managers, Sue and John, with a beautiful welcome basket full of fruits, wine, water, beer, milk, juice, jam, butter, eggs, and so on. They were extremely kind to us and gave us a tour of the property on the first day. They were available to us throughout the week. If we had any issues they were a 15 minute phone call away and were very accommodating.
Now on to the property itself. You must actually see this place to understand just how beautiful it is. It has a huge garden with some plum trees, red and black currant bushes, raspberry bushes, walnut trees, and so many beautiful flowers. Deer and rabbits often visit, which is a beautiful sight to take in. The property also has about three ponds (with three resident ducks), a vineyard, and really just a lot of greenery and wildlife - absolutely safe and just stunning. The property also comes with a house cat named Min, she is very sweet, so if you do visit please be kind to her. She is self-sufficient and lives in the outdoors, but absolutely loves human company. We would take daily strolls throughout the property and would often sit outdoors to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
The village of Caprese Michelangelo is very close and so are Anghiari and Lama. There is a grocery store about a minute away with driving, that stocked the necessities. There is also a restaurant named Il Rifugio a minute away which had very friendly hosts and delicious and affordable food. Also, try Ristorante Il Cerro nearby! I know we are the only review, but that is only because we were the first renters here. Trust your gut and rent this place out! You won't be disappointed and you will be so happy that you did! I would write more, but sadly there is a limit.
