We really enjoyed our stay here. The chairs and beds sagged a bit, but overall the house was clean, cozy, and comfortable and had everything we needed. We felt at home right away. The setting was very peaceful, and we loved relaxing beside the lake. As others have mentioned, the sunsets on the lake are lovely. The cell phone signal for ATT was weak and intermittent, but we didn’t mind being disconnected. We used the cottage as a central jumping off place for exploring Pictured Rocks, Mackinac Island, and Tahquamenon Falls, and it worked well, but if you plan on doing that, be aware that you will drive 1 to 1 1/2 hours to get to them because nothing is close in the UP. There is a long gravel road to get to the cottage, but it is very well graded, and once you get to the highway it is easy driving anywhere. We visited Gould City Park because we read there was a good trail there, but we never found it. However, if you are looking for a swimming beach on Lake Michigan, it looked very nice. Overall we highly recommend this place and hope to return.
