We were 3 couples of lifetime friends who travel together every other year for a Caribbean vacation. This was our first visit to Barbados and we hope to return again, as we had a fantastic week and all agree this was our best vacation together to date!
Seawards was a wonderful vacation home for the 3 couples and had everything we needed for a spectacular week! It is conveniently located and is within walking to Jordan's grocery store. The 3 bedrooms each with their own bath, provided privacy and comfort. The living space was very clean and comfortable. The outdoor space was wonderful and was where we spent the majority of our time!
We enjoyed daily morning coffee at the outdoor picnic area with a breathtaking view of the crystal blue ocean. We also enjoyed having our own beach, and were amazed at the wonderful snorkeling right off our beach! The splash pool was also refreshing each afternoon.
Kaysha and Dawn who cooked and cared for us during our stay were absolutely wonderful! They are warm, friendly, flexible and were extremely helpful during our stay. Kaysha's flying fish and macaroni pie were both a delicacy and enjoyed by all! These two ladies truly reflect the welcoming Bajan vibe of the island and will be missed!
We rented a van and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the diversity of the island! Some of our highlights included: Welchman Hall Gully (monkey feeding was amazing!), Harrison's Cave, St. Nicholas Abby, and Animal Flower Cave. We also snorkeled about 50 yards out at Carlisle Beach and were able to view snorkel boat tours feeding the sea turtles which was fascinating!!
We enjoyed most of our lunches out and about including: El Tempio (within walking distance to Seawards), Surfside Beach Bar, Lunch at Harrison's Cave, The Round House near Bathsheba, and lunch at the top of Animal Flower Cave. Our favorite meal out however was our sunset dinner at Juma in Spieghtstown. The view is breathtaking, and the food and service were top notch. They also will provide a driver for transportation to and from the restaurant!
We highly recommend a visit to Barbardos and staying at Seawards and are thankful to have experienced such a wonderful vacation in paradise!
