Bon séjour

La propriétaire est très disponible pour toute demande, le lieu est bien situé (25 min de Sienne environ). Il y a une très belle vue de cet appartement, et des champs d'oliviers juste à côté. L'endroit est calme et reposant. Les deux chambres ont leur propre salle de bains. Pour manger il y a le choix et de bons restaurants à Colle di val d'Elsa ou Casole d'Elsa, qui sont chacunes à environ 10 minutes.

Schöne Lage, viele Mücken

Schöne Lage, hervorragende Aussicht, nette Einrichtung im Landhausstil, leider klappernde Betten durch Holzgestell mit loser Bettumrahmung bzw. losen Kopfteilen, die bei jeder leichten Bewegung laut klappern. Draußen sind so viele Mücken, dass es unmöglich ist, auf der Terrasse zu sitzen. Leider muss man die Landschaft daher von innen genießen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich.

Gorgeous property and a Car Rental is a Must

When we arrived this place was just as pictured. Gorgeous property and amazing views. The owner, Vera, greeted us right away. She checked us in and explained how things worked. Vera was very helpful. Her English was not fluent as expected, but she was very accommodating. Her daughter Monica was fluent in English and she helped us out a lot. Going to this property In late November is not recommended. The weather was damp and rainy. It is difficult to get warm, even indoors. There was a pellet stove in the sitting area to keep us warm. But it only works when your close enough to it. Keep in mind there are hidden charges at this place that I did not see online when booking. There is a washing machine, it is shared, and there is a small fee each time you use it. There is no clothes dryer. Also, if you need more pellets for the stove, there is a charge, if you turned on the heater/air conditioning in the bedrooms and sitting room for more warmth/air, there is a charge, if you use so much electricity per day and go over the minimum, there is a daily charge. I did not know of these charges when I booked this property. However, the location and beauty of this place is amazingly gorgeous. We did have to be buy some necessities like bar soap for bathing, toilet paper, dishwashing soap, laundry soap, and the Internet service was extremely poor to the point of not having any internet at all. Even at the reception area of Vera’s home there was barely internet service.. This limited our ability to plan our outings. We had to use my data plan whenever we were off the property. This will bring my international data charges to a huge bill when I return home. The place is not big enough for more than two people. Yes there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, however, there is no living room for relaxing after a long day for more then two people. There is only one small, very small, loveseat in the kitchen area. No TV, no alarm clock, no radio, no iron for clothes, no microwave, and as far as we are concerned no internet. I would recommend this place for a short stay in the warmer months. Definitely not in the colder months. This was our fault for trying to travel on a budget. If you are okay with minimal amenities you will be fine. This place is surrounded by gorgeous olive trees and fruit trees. The views from the apartment were breathtaking. The location is centralized to most popular cities, towns, and villages.

excellent emplacement pour visiter toutes les merveilles de la Toscane

Vera et sa fille vous promulguent les conseils pour toutes les visites culturelles, gustatives et autres. Si Vera vous propose son repas d'hote en soirée, n'hésitez pas, vous dégusterez les spécialités culinaires de la Toscane cuisinées par elle. Tous les centres d'intérêts de Toscane sont à maximum une heure de route. A recommander les yeux fermés.

Lovely place, lovely owners.

A peaceful place between Volterra and San Gimignano. You must taste Vera's cooking. Take your time have a little rest there.

Gîte très agréable avec superbe vue

Gîte très agréable, au calme sur une très belle propriété. Vera est une personne charmante, qui en plus parle un peu le français et qui vous donne des conseils pour vos visites. Une bouteille de vin nous attendait en signe de bienvenue. Nous avons passés un super séjour. La literie est de très grand confort et le calme est apprécié. Bref à recommander sans problème.

Das Haus ist sehr schön und steht in einer wunderschönen und ruhigen Umgebung. Die umliegenden Städte und Dörfer sind einfach und schnell zu erreichen. Die Einrichtung ist zweckmäßig und sehr gemütlich. Der Aufenthalt hat uns gut gefallen und wir bedanken uns für die schöne Zeit!

Charmante kleine woning op een rustige plek 6km buiten Colle di Val d'Elsa, maar ...

De woning bevindt zich samen met een andere woning op een Agriturismo locatie, omringt door agrarisch landschap met onder anderen olijfboompjes. De inrichting is smaakvol, maar eenvoudig. Sommigen weten de aanwezige prullaria te waarderen, voor mij is het een overbodige decoratie. Voor een gezin met 2 grotere kinderen, is de woning mijn inziens te klein. Naast de voordeur kun je zitten op stalen buitenmeubilair (4 stoelen + tafel), maar dan blijft er weinig verkeersruimte over. Even verderop tussen de olijfboompjes is een overkapt zitje met aluminium kuipstoeltjes. De keukenuitrusting is summier. Enkele grotere slabakken waren welkom geweest, evenals een grotere koelkast. Daarentegen behoort een vaatwasser weer wel tot de standaard uitrusting. Een wasmachine ontbreekt. Omdat er ronduit veel muggen in de rondvliegen, is het huisje voorzien van horren voor de ramen en horgordijnen voor de openslaande deuren in de woonkamer, de slaapkamer en de voordeur. De horren voldoen, maar de horgordijnen zijn van een belabberde kwaliteit en hangen met tape en wasknijpers aan elkaar. Gegeven de overnachtingsprijs, is deze voorziening volstrekt ondermaats. De woning staat in de volle zon. In het huis hangen weliswaar airco's, maar daarvoor dient extra betaald te worden. De eigenaresse Vera is zorgzaam en behulpzaam, maar ook aanwezig. Voor de reiziger die rust verkiest boven ruimte en hoogwaardig comfort en die de muggen voor lief neemt, is het een aangenaam huisje in een prachtig Toscaans landschap.

Very pleasant stay in Tuscany

The haus is in excellent location roughly in the middle of Tuscany, so it is quite easy to make daytrips in any direction. The house itself is pleasant, despite very hot weather we did not need to turn on the aircon. All communication with the owner was smooth and segnora Vera is very kind. I recommend to pack also some repellent against mosquitos, they seem to love this place too... :)

Prachtige Locatie in hartje Toscane

Dit vakantiehuisje staat op een prachtige, erg rustige locatie in het hartje van Toscane. Vera, de gastvrouw is een lieve dame die altijd voor je klaar staat om je te helpen. Ze heeft ons enorm geholpen toen er 's avonds een dokter moest komen. Klasse!! Soms kookt zij de heerlijkste Toscaanse gerechten voor een aantal gasten en, als je interesse hebt, kun je mee eten. Je moet dat natuurlijk wel even laten weten. Vanuit dit huis kun je de vele prachtige Toscaanse bezienswaardigheden zoals Florence, Lucca, Monteriggione, Siena, Volterra etc, etc, eenvoudig bereiken. Absoluut de moeite waard. En, vergeet niet een keer te gaan eten in Il Merlo. Dit restaurant in he gelijknamige dorpje Il Merlo, heeft een uitgebreide kaart en serveert verse pasta's. Een "must" als je in de omgeving bent. Al met al is een vakantie in "Il Caggio di Sotto" een aanrader.

Escapade en Toscane

J'ai séjourné une semaine avec deux de mes enfants dans ce gîte. Nous avons été très bien accueillis et avons passé un séjour enrichissant. Le logement est spacieux avec une belle vue sur la Toscane où tous les matins prenions plaisir à observer les chevreuils. La propriétaire et sa fille sont très aimables et à l'écoute. La Toscane en toute sérénité !

Jolie petite maison au milieu des oliviers, la vue est magnifique, la literie de très bonne qualité, les deux salles de bains très pratiques. Le site est très beau et très bien entretenu par le mari de Véra. TRES CALME ! Pour la réservation tout a été très simple par messagerie avec Monica qui parle bien le francais. Sur place Monica, Véra et son mari ont été très gentils. Nous étions deux adultes et deux ados (la wifi fonctionne très bien), nous sommes très contents, nous recommandons ce gîte !

If you want to taste real Tuscany - visit Lano !

"Il Caggio di Sotto" that's the name of the place. And let's say it from the very beginning - MAGICAL place. First of all - Vera and Mauro, the hosts, as well as their daughter Monica and her family, are really exceptional people. Helpful, discreet and friendly. Fresh tomatoes from Vera's garden and ripe figs directly from the trees were unforgettable. The place itself is well maintained, spacious and quiet, with large parking lot. And views from the apartment are breathtaking. From Lano you can easily reach many places, among others - Siena, Volterra, San Gimignano, Montalcino, Montepulciano and, last but not least, don't miss Monte Olivieto Maggiore, it's a must. And one more tip - go to nearby Merlo and try Italian cuisine in "Il Merlo" ! We recommend the place to everyone who wants to smell and taste real Tuscany. It' there in Lano.

Au centre de la Toscane et au calme

Un logement bien équipé, très calme proche de Sienne, Volterra, Pisa et San Gimignano. Une vue superbe, le matin et le soir nous avons vu des biches dans les prés depuis le logement. A proximité des petites villes avec restaurants très bons. L’hôtesse est charmante et prévenante, pleine de bons conseils. Un séjour enchanteur.

UN LUGAR MUY RECOMENDABLE

La verdad es que estuvimos muy a gusto en este sitio.hemos estado este mismo Verano , en Septiembre.Estuvimos 5 días y la verdad es que estuvimos encantados.La casa en sí está bien, sin grandes lujos pero con todo lo necesario para estar cómodo.Destacaría unas impresionantes vistas desde el balcón al campo toscano que podrías estar horas "embobado" mirando por aquel ventanal, es precioso!.La ubicación es muy buena para visitar los pueblos cercanos que son preciosos (Colle Val D´elsa, San Gimingnano, Volterra, Montepulciano, etc...).La casa está en un lugar tranquilisimo en el que puedes relajarte de verdad!.La atención en todo momento fue muy buena por parte de los propietarios. Sobre todo tuvimos trato con Vera que fue muy amable con nosotros incluso nos regaló una botella de vino blanco de la zona nada más llegar y unas galletas típicas al irnos. La verdad es que no tengo nada negativo que decir (salvo los mosquitos que en esta época del año son muy pesados y hay bastantes pero claro, de eso no tienen la culpa los dueños).Lo recomiendo para todo aquel que busca calma, turismo local y ningún gran lujo.

The place was an excellen...

The place was an excellent home away from home. It was clean and well equipped and Monica was very easy to deal with, especially since our booking was last minute. We used the property as a base to explore Tuscany and surrounding areas. The only reason I marked it down slightly is that it did not feel like it was right in the middle of the Chianti region as there were no vineyards. It was still however, a lovely place to stay with surrounding olive trees and a view of the countryside from the little balcony.
