A-plus in the Algarve

Huge apartment and vey well equipped. Quiet and comfortable. Close to a decent grocery store and the charming neighbourhood of old Lagos. A great base from which to explore the amazing geography of the western Algarve!

Jorge's apartment

Was very good. When we stayed there was noise in the day from new car park being built outside and some at night due to being close to the old N125 . But that will be done now. Apartment is huge. Everything was provided. Bedding towels and cleaning materials. Close to supermarkets and the big ones are 2k away. Can walk to beach but the best beach was Porto de Mos. Small issue is that the washing machine didn't work properly. Suggest a car when visiting as it was more convenient. The boardwalk at the Farol (lighthouse).was fantastic for evening walks. Would stay again and probably will. Jorge was a nice man and easy to communicate with.

Sehr schöner Urlaub

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit unserer Unterkunft. Alles war sauber und der Vermieter sehr nett . Nur Nachts war es oft laut wegen der angrenzenden Straße.

Idéalement situé.

Très grand appartement permettant de loger 5 personnes sans problème, 2 grandes chambres indépendantes plus un lit 1 place dans le salon. 2 SDB et 2 WC. Une grande cuisine. Tout l'électroménager nécessaire à un bon séjour est disponible. Vue mer du petit balcon qui permet de voir le lever du soleil. Grand parking gratuit en bas de l'appartement. Pas besoin de prendre la voiture pour descendre vers les ruelles de la vieille ville qui se trouvent à 15mn à pieds, idem pour le marché aux poissons ( ne pas y aller le lundi car pas de pêche et très peu de choix ). Lagos est idéalement situé pour découvrir les merveilles de l'Algarve avec toutes ses plages plus belles les unes que les autres, ses falaises vertigineuses aux couleurs fabuleuses. Il y a également 2 grands supermarchés ( Intermarché et Lidl ) à 5mn de voiture de l'appartement. Nous recommandons cet appartement pour passer un agréable séjour dans l'Algarve.

Spacious, well equipped property, close to everything

Jorge, the owner and his family were very welcoming. The apartment is situated a short distance (10 mins) from the town centre but has good access to all the essentials such as a well stocked mini market and wonderful cafe a short distance away. We quickly became regulars at the cafe which is run by a friendly couple. They cook a couple of different dishes each day which are fantastic value and very tasty if you don't fancy cooking. There are also several other restaurants, a churrascaria (char-grilled chicken) and cafes. The beaches are very clean, are also very close-by (10 mins). The apartment has a comfortable, very spacious living room with cable TV showing several English-language channels. There is WiFi too. The kitchen has all the useful appliances eg microwave, washing machine, tumble-drier, toaster and gas cooker. There is a separate, good-sized pantry. The 2 bedrooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. There are 2 bathrooms; they could do with some modernising but they are fine. I guess my only criticism is that there can be a fair amount of noise from passing traffic although it's not a problem at night. The bin men empty the large communal bins on the street below at about 2:30am and this can be a bit disruptive if the windows are left open but we got used to it. We found the apartment to be very good value. It's convenience to the town centre, beaches and other facilities means that we hope to return before long. Lagos is a really pleasant town, which has not been spoiled by the summer visitors. Loads of nice restaurants, serving a wide variety of menus. The motorway makes it easy to reach Lagos.

appartement trés bien situé, calme, propre et trés bien équipé

Nous avons particulièrement apprécié cet appartement pour sa situation à égale distance du centre ville et des célèbres plages rocheuses ( 15 mn de marche). Propriétaire sympathique et ponctuel. Logement spacieux, propre, bien équipé avec des produits de première nécessité tel que: sel, poivre, café et lessive ! Un parking gratuit se trouve devant l'appartement mais si vous arrivez, comme nous par le train, je conseille de prendre un taxi: 9 euros. Vous trouverez une supérette (spar) très bien achalandée à 100 m de l'appartement. En bref une location que nous recommandons.

Location location location!!

Just returned from a fantastic two week stay in the apartment. The location is perfect, 10 minutes walk into the heart of the old town and 10 minutes walk in the other direction to Praia Dona Ana beach. The Apartment is huge, very clean and comes with everything you need for a self catering holiday, it was especially useful having the washing machine for a two week stay. If you are arriving by car there are loads of free parking spaces around the apartment. The owners Jorge and Filipa were very helpful to deal with and we would definitely return.

Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

Wir waren eine Woche in dem Apartment von Jorge. Der Check-in lief problemlos ab, auch wenn wir das Apartment länger suchen mussten. Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig und funktional eingerichtet. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und vom Balkon aus hat man einen tollen Blick auf das Meer. Die Wohnung liegt abseits vom Trubel der Altstadt, allerdings recht nah an einer vielbefahrenen Straße. In der Nähe liegen mehrere Bushaltestellen, sodass man einige Strände gut erreichen kann. Auch kleinere Supermärkte sind ganz in der Nähe. Ein paar Info-Materialien über Lagos haben uns in der Wohnung aber gefehlt, auch das Bett fanden wir nicht so bequem.

Apartamento bastante grande no centro da cidade a 5 minutos a pé do centro histórico, a 10 minutos a pé da praia ... estacionamento gratuito junto ao prédio , o senhor foi bastante simpático connosco, aliás como tem sido sempre , dai dar sempre prioridade a está casa . Recomendo a 100%. Perto de tudo! Muito obrigado !

A really great apartment

We stayed here for two weeks with three persons and never regretted having rent the apartment. It´s very spacious, well-furnished and equipped and boasts a perfect location - quite close to both the centre and some nice beaches. Supermarkets and bus stops are closeby. The only tiny disadvantage might be that there is some traffic noise, but not too much. The owner is very nice and accommodating and keeps the place in good shape. A perfect place to spend a great holiday in lagos.

Fabulous apartment in Lagos

This apartment was in a perfect location in Lagos, close to beaches, town center, markets, restaurants and train station. The property was clean and very well maintained. Plenty of free parking if you have a car but not necessary as you can walk to most everything. We stayed for 9 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Already planning our return visit. Jorge was a wonderful host and willing to help with anything we may have needed. Thanks again Jorge for such a wonderful place! Maureen & Richie

Excelente apartamento

Trata-se de um excelente apartamento situado na parte nova da cidade de Lagos a menos de quinhentos metros da muralha (parte antiga, histórica), o que lhe confere uma óptima localização. A sua posição geográfica permite vista para o mar, o que torna tudo ainda mais agradável. Limpo, bem equipado e muito espaçoso, com cada coisa no seu lugar, o que nos fez sentir quase como em casa. Registo também a simpatia e disponibilidade do dono. A maior dificuldade será mesmo conseguir reservá-lo para a data ideal uma vez que, devido às suas características e preço praticado, está quase sempre ocupado. Recomendo vivamente.

Very convenient accomodation in the middle of everything

We spent 5 people - family week with adult children and 12 year old granddaughter in Jorge place. Apartment is spacious and we felt there like at home, never felt it is too small for 5 people. There is everything tourist can need in this apartment and price is very friendly. You can walk everywhere from this location, old town and restaurants and night life is just few minutes (3 minutes walk if you find out shortcut across parking), to Pinhao beach 5 minutes walk with shortcut from Spar to fire station, several minutes walk to all other beaches, the longest distance to Meia Praia but.. you can take boat taxi across the river at price 60 cents. There is always free parking place around, food shopping by walk to Spar just 2 minutes, Pizzolino restaurant in next building, Garden restaurant just 5 minutes walk in old city - very friendly in nice scenery. We have been first time in Lagos and we really admire the city with such a long history and absolutely outstanding beauty of nature just around the city. We will go there again and again we will stay at Jorge place. Thank you Jorge.

Lovely apartment for a family of four with an ocean view. Within walking distance (11 minutes) Donna Anna beach and beach Pinhao (8 min), lots of shops and cafes. To the gates of the old town 1 minute walk, where you can walk and have fun all day. The apartments have all the necessary things, appliances and so on. Many thanks to Jorge Amado. We recommend.

Maravilloso apartamento de vacaciones en Lagos

Es un apartamento muy grande, cercano al mar. La atención del propietario ha sido estupenda, ya que el piso cuenta con todas las necesidades posibles. Esta muy bien amueblado y es muy amplio Ha sido un placer realizar nuestra estancia en Lagos en este apartamento, y recomiendo a la gente a ir a él puesto que la calidad/precio es perfecta. Además Lagos tiene unas playas preciosas para visitar. En esta ciudad también puedes hacer todo tipo de actividades: buceo, paseo en barca, kayak, visitar delfines, etc. Totalmente recomendable.
