Matt and Karina are an easy going couple and love getting to know new people from all over the world. Matt grew up in Pismo Beach, Southern California and loves surfing and mountain bike riding. Karina is from New Zealand and since marrying Matt in 2012 has made Redding her permanent home. Karina loves being Mom of two adopted little ones, hospitality, espresso coffee, healthy gourmet food, family road trips in the RV. Matt and Karina both did Bethel School of Ministry (BSSM) and are now long term Bethel members.
We live at the Moonstone River Retreat House and our little family consists of Matt, Karina, our two young children and 'Jimmy' our adorable Lemon Beagle/Chihuahua cross dog who is very loveable and loves meeting new guests!

Guests rate us very well (most 5/5) and common feedback is that they love the location being right near the Sacramento river trail, with the studio being right on the edge of town it's easy to unwind amongst nature, just a short stroll away. Cyclists and dog owners love close access to the river trails just outside our door!
In the other direction of downtown you'll find the best rated cafes in Redding (which you can bike to). The quiet and relaxing ambiance of the studio looks out over a pleasant back yard. Guests like the comfortable cal-king bed, and, enjoy the luxurious bathroom with the double sinks and jacuzzi style bath with jets.
Of course it goes without saying, we're a friendly, easy going couple, who love meeting new people from all around the world! And, we have the cutest little dog (and two young children) who give a warm welcome to all our guests!
One guest said "We love this place as it is very restful, with little bluebirds that hang out in the tranquil back yard, and the river trail is just across the road".
The well equipped kitchen with a sink, good sized fridge, induction stove top countertops and small breakfast bar make it just another reason to stay here!
