The house was quite conform tp the description. BUT several topics need to be raised;- very poor consideration (no upfront message, no message during the stay to ensure everything is okay)- very short welcome, bypassing the following - (and essential!) elements- horrible smell from one of the bathroom, very likey coming from the fact the sink drain is not equiped with a trap...- colony of ants in the kitchenI would not recommend, without serious upgrading of the overall

Très chouette lieu. L’intérieur est adorable et très propre. 2 belles chambres et les salles de bain très agréables. Le salon est cosy . Le jardin est vraiment pas arrangé et la maison est le long d’une route avec du passage mais pas trop non plus. Ce serait agréable d’avoir l’un ou l’autre siège de jardin pour se poser .

Schlechte Urlaubserfahrung

Wetter und Umgebung waren sehr gut. Das Haus war in sehr schlechtem Zustand. Jegliches Holz war vermodert (Zäune und Sonnenschutz und Dachterrassenabgrenzung). Schimmel im Badezimmer und an allen Fensterrahmen. Armaturen und Abläufe undicht. Kein Internet trotz Ausschreibung. Vermieter nicht vor Ort und somit war es eine schlechte Kommunikation. Er hat nichts unternommen um unseren Aufenthalt angenehmer zu gestalten.

a team you'd rather not have anything to do with

The house is great, but the service is unfortunately very, very poor. The host lives in Italy, so you communicate with the housekeeper who lives nearby. The two of them are a team you'd rather not have anything to do with. As the host rarely rents the house in winter, he does not know how much gas is used for heating and warm water. After about 5 days the gas was empty and we were without hot water in the entire house for 24 hours in January and without heating for 5 days. In the second week, the drain overflowed after showering and the smaller bathroom and hallway were under water. The housekeeper did not take care of the blocked drain at our request. She also did not reply to our messages for the entire vacation and the bathroom was unusable for the rest of our vacation. On the morning of our departure, there was even feces coming out of the floor. The host and the housekeeper are now blaming us for this and are both no longer responding to any of our messages. To summarise: During our vacation, we had to spend 2 weeks organizing empty or broken but necessary things regarding the house and dealing with a self-centered, not present host and his obedient housekeeper. A time when you actually just want to relax and long for peace and quiet.

Casa a precisar de manutenção

É visível que a casa se foi deteriorando com os anos devido á falta de manutenção. O relvado já não existe, está tudo queimado por falta de rega, a zona do barbecue não tem luz e as grelhas que nos entregaram sujas e com ferrugem não têm onde assentar. Uma das casas de banho tem as portas do duche a cair. No geral a casa apresenta descuido, pois todos os problemas são de fácil resolução. Tentámos resolver junto da pessoa que faz o check in, mas a vontade de ajudar foi nula. A casa está bem localizada e se tivesse arranjada e bem cuidada, seria uma óptima opção.

Nous n avons pas été accueilli , nous avons attendu une bonne demi heure que quelqu un vienne nous donner la clé , heureusement que nous avons été curieux et avons trouvé la clé cachée , nous avons eu du mal a avoir le code pour la wifi ( il serait bien quil soit marqué sur la boxe .) nous aurions aimer savoir que logement était mitoyen et qu il y avait du vis a vis avec un autre logement ...logement propre et sympathique .

Gemütliches Zuhause im Urlaub

Das Haus ist gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet, die Möbel sind zwar alt, aber alles hat Charme. Das Haus war bei der Ankunft sehr sauber und es waren ausreichend Handtücher vorhanden. Vor allem die Betten sind super, bei 14 Tagen Aufenthalt kein Grund zur Klage. Die Betreuung durch Isabel ist ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir würden dieses Haus direkt wieder buchen.

Nice place. Some problema with WiFi and a feb foto power outage. On considering the fact that we stayed almost two weeks, a free change of towels and bed sheets would have been appreciated, however we were able to make do with the available washing machine. House is beautiful and well equipped

Gute Fotos- objektzustand mässig

Die Straße ist leider doch mehr befahren und die Außenanlage - Garten- in traurigen Zustand. Ebenso die Sitzmöbel für außen. Küchenausstattung Null!Insgesamt leider enttäuschend. Tolle Foto und leider müsste viel in Ordnung gebracht werden😏Betten sind ok.

Quiet rest in Alentejo

It was a quiet rest, in a place close to major surf spots like Amado Beach and others. A nice, traditional, weel decorated house, with a top cleaning. It should have an electric owen to allow more types of meals. and the internet access should be upgraded to say the least. But if you dont mind beiing isolated from the rest of the world for one week, it is a must go!

Great stay at Aljezur

Clean and cozy house. Very comfortable for 4 people. Location is almost perfect - 10’ to a desert beach and to Aljezur. Things the house can improve: - no wifi nor network connection- impossible to work. They tried to help but it just didn’t work for whole week. - increase privacy - put some trees between neighbours and road. When we are outside, we are almost sharing the garden. Also very close to busy road so some trees would help

Fijn groot huis

Keurig schoon. Heel rustige omgeving. Huisraad niet helemaal compleet maar Isabel heeft prima geholpen. Lekker dichtbij Lagos & ook de weststranden zoals Bordeira. Voor ons prima verblijf. Wel op tijd de deuren sluiten anders komen muskieten binnen.

Monte Ruivo

We were very lucky that we were the only ones that was renting as there is a 1 bedroom apartment connected to the house at the back corner. The place was peaceful and quiet. We arrived late due to flight delays in Lisbon. We notified Isabel and she told us where to find the key to gain access. The only drawback was that it was raining and cold when we arrived. The heat had not been turned on so the house was freezing cold. We were not able to get it to work until the next morning when the grounds keeper called Isabel. After that was figured out it was smooth sailing from there.

Friendly house

Cosy house with grill and garden and nice interior. There was a problem with the gaz , but Isabel was very very helpful . We also appreciated the fresh flowers she had put in.

Schönes geräumiges Haus

Wir haben unseren Urlaub in diesem Haus genossen. Die schlechten Bewertungen sind für uns nicht nachvollziehbar. Nur einige wenige Kleinigkeiten müssten geändert werden. Die Gartenmöbel sollten erneuert werden und die Küchenausstattung ist etwas lückenhaft. Die Strasse geht zwar direkt am Haus vorbei, ist jedoch nicht störend. Das Haus ist sauber und gemütlich. Wir benötigten eine neue Pfanne (Vormieter hatten sie wohl auf dem Herd zum Glühen gebracht) und Isabel war am nächsten Tag mit einer neuen Pfanne vorbeigekommen. Wir sind in Portugal und man sollte bei Problemen freundlich mit der Betreuerin vor Ort sprechen. In Englisch geht es recht gut, doch ein paar wenige portugiesische Worte öffnen einem meistens Türen zu den freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Menschen und zeigen dass man sich auf sie einlässt. Es war ein schöner Urlaub und wir würden wiederkommen. Martina und Andreas

Alquilé una " casa independiente " durante 12 noches por más de 2000 euros: - La casa no es independiente: se ha hecho otro apartamento con parte de la casa que alquilé y se OYE a los vecinos al otro lado de la pared. - La PALMERA del jardín está cortada. You should UPDATE PHOTOS!!! - NO he podido usar Internet. Hice una queja por wasap con la agencia inmobiliaria y me contestaron que " la casa tiene Internet, pero que en esa zona no hay RED". Entonces, para que quiero ese Internet???? - La TV dejó de funcionar... - La casa no tiene delante una calle, sino una CARRETERA por la que pasan coches up and down to Monte Ruivo. NOISY PLACE! - Escribí un email al dueño de la casa, Sr. Alberto, explicando que no había Internet. NO contestó! The best part of the house: our great neighbours Nuno y Helena and Divor⚽ I have been renting houses using Homeaway (Vrbo) and Airbnb for 6 years and this is the worst experience. I'm sorry but the owner should invest money instead of getting only benefits. Making money is great, but having calm holidays is necessary!!! I hope the owner read my constructive criticism and I hope it helps other guests to decide where to invest their money on holidays! Thanks.

It was pleasant time in Monte Ruivo

House is very clean and has pleasant appearance with personal style. Nice dinning room inside the house. Also beautiful veranda outside. We has breakfast outside every morning. Very quiet area but still not far from Lagos, beaches and Aljezur. Great restaurant GULLI, 5 min from the house . We would definately recommend this place for vacation.

Casa muito acolhedora

Adorámos as férias em Aljezur. A casa é muito acolhedora, tendo todas as condições necessárias. Um pequeno jardim onde se pode fazer as refeições cá fora, com churrasco para preparar bons petiscos. Fomos muito bem recebidos, e a anfitriã da casa esteve sempre disponível para eventuais necessidades. A casa situa-se numa zona calma, ideal para quem se quer refugiar procurando o sossego. Para além disso, está perto de tudo. Há um hipermercado a cerca 10minutos de carro, e muitas praias ao redor. Recomendo vivamente a casa do Sr. Alberto. Esperamos regressar. Sara V.

relax

it's a rural house not so far from Aljezur and from all the wonderful beaches of the coast, strategical position even to go to Lagos, nice City, or to Sagres, very silent area but not isolated. It's an underevaluated area from the general tourism, but I woudl say better then the south coast, too much chaotic and too many buildings the house is well refurbished and decorated with nice personal style, we stayed one week with 3 children, I highly reccomend it
