Peaceful Cottage w/ beautiful landscape

Wife and I on Cape for funeral and so fortunate to find this cottage near my friend’s house. Ann and Pete are wonderful hosts. Cottage space is very comfortable and the landscaping/gardens are immaculate! Turns out Pete knew our deceased friend and it was so cool to have brief chat with Ann & Pete to reminisce on the past.

The perfect spot for us

My daughter and I enjoyed the perfect time together at the Outback. Our first time to Cape Cod, we were grateful for Ann’s suggestions (Crowe’s Point was worth the trip for us!) and for the interesting books in her library. I look forward to introducing my wife to the Outback before too long.

Ann is a wonderful host. Great communication with precise directions. The Outback is an adorable and spacious rental. The decor is so nice and embraces the Cape Cod vibe! The grounds are lovely. You have everything you need and more. Easy access to all major roads.

Excellent Cape Stay!!

We loved everything about the Outback. Ann is an extremely accommodating host. The place was spotless on arrival! Great convenient location and the house still felt private! Easy access to area beaches. Ann gave us a full list of recommendations on arrival. Great communication and check in was a breeze. The amenities are top notch. Gorgeous grounds, patio, outdoor shower, fire pit & grill. Can’t say enough nice things about this location. We will absolutely be back to stay at the Outback! It gets a 12/10 from us! Excellent experience !!! Highly recommend!!!!

Beautiful Dennis Hideaway

Really comfortable house with beautifully landscaped grounds. Close to Crowe's Pasture Conservation Area (secluded beach) and other lovely beaches on the ocean side. Ann is a fantastic host and had some great recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. We highly recommended staying here. Go raibh mile maith agat!

Great privacy and location, good accomodations

The cottage and grounds are wonderfully private, like a home set apart from the neighbors. It's close to some great beaches, Chatham shopping and other Cape fare. You can really get away from it all. There's plenty of room inside for two. The kitchen could be improved with a toaster oven, the mattress is a bit uneven and the shower doesn't have a nearby sink. It all works but could be better with those improvements. Enjoy the patio - it's a special amenity.

Highly Recommend!

This was a very beautiful property. The landscape around the home was lovely and the house was quaint with a cute coastal vibe. Everything was immaculate with many personal touches including fresh cut flowers and some Cape Cod made foods! Ann was a lovely host welcoming us and available as needed. Highly recommend!

Golf getaway

We found the layout a little weird, but other than that we could not have stayed at a nicer place. Anne is an exceptional host. Great communication and made us feel very relaxed. The property as well as the house are beautifully maintained. I would stay there again. Also there are two beautiful golf courses within 10 minutes of the house and that was a big reson to be there.

Wonderful Cape Cod Retreat

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at this property. Ann was prompt with communication and attention to details. She can answer any question one might have concerning any activity on the Cape. The property was spotless and cozy. The landscaping was lush with singing birds at dawn and dusk. It was the perfect respite after a day of sightseeing.

Overnight stay

The property was exactly as we expected. The pictures on the VRBO site are perfect. While we were only there to get dressed for a wedding and then to sleep afterward, we did manage to meet the lovely host Anne and also take a short walk around the beautiful property before heading out in the a.m. I would highly recommend this spot!

A Hidden Getaway

"Outback" is a lovely, secluded property with places to walk on lush grass amid beautiful flowers and gorgeous landscaping. There are stone benches to sit on beneath aged shade trees, perfect for contemplation. It is quiet and peaceful, ideal for anyone looking to get away from the noise and stress of daily life. The cottage is bright and colorful, decorated in an eclectic, whimsical style with lots going on. There are tons of books on a variety of subjects for reading on a rainy day, or on that bench down in the shaded area they call Jurassic Park. We loved our stay there. Ann, our hostess, was very personable and fun to talk with. Her husband does all the landscaping. The cottage is in a central location with easy access to anywhere on the Cape. I would recommend this location for retired couples, or those who want to relax, especially anyone who wants to take a break from cooking, as the kitchen is small and not fully equipped. There is a convection oven and a hot plate, but no stove. This will allow you to take advantage of the many nearby restaurants and eat authentic Cape Cod food, guilt free! Ann can recommend some good places. This location would be difficult for handicapped persons or anyone who likes "spread out." The bathroom is very small, with no counter space. There is a one step change in floor levels between sleeping areas and the bathroom. It was easy to trip over, even though it was well marked. The cottage is cozy, but definitely not open space style!

Such a great place, we can't pick what was best

Very clean, wonderfully decorated cottage with every amenity we could want. It is close to the public beaches, restaurants, and shopping. The National Seashore is just up the road, too. The property is close to everything without being in the crowded areas. It was so cozy, quiet, and relaxing, we loved everything about our stay. The outdoor shower was fantastic! The gardens were so beautiful! Ann and Peter were perfect hosts. We had the most relaxing, wonderful vacation!

This feels like home...

...because it is above and beyond any hotel stay anyone could ever book. The home, provided by our host, was in excellent order. Complete with everything anyone could need for their stay. My only wish, is that it was a longer stay.

Loved the Outback!

Beautiful property, was perfect for my girlfriend and I to get a weekend getaway in the Cape. The property was well kept and clean, Ann was very helpful and provided great recommendations for how to spend our time there. It's nearby to just about all you need by car in less than 15 minutes max!

The most cozy home away from home@

The quaint cottage felt incredibly homey - there are throw blankets galore, an awesome lending library shelf, and some interesting resource books for guest use. The bed and couch were both very comfortable. While there isn't a traditional full kitchen, the hot plates were really easy to use and more than sufficient! We were visiting to attend a wedding so unfortunately didn't get to experience the area as much as we would have liked, but we loved the space so much that we plan to return again to get the full experience. Fully recommend you give the Outback a try!

Adorable cottage that is comfortable and close to everything! Ann, the owner went out of her way to make us feel at home and to make sure we had everything we needed! Grounds are beautiful and cozy! Would highly recommend!

My husband and I have lived our entire adult lives on Cape Cod.
As children, we were both fortunate enough to spend summers here as well. We bought this property in 2001, and have enjoyed the wonderful surroundings . We have taken great pleasure in enhancing our gardens creating, enjoying and sharing the peaceful ambience.
We highly respect our guests privacy, but we are just a call/text away for any questions, or suggestions.
ALWAYS GOOGLE EARTH THE PROPERTIES YOU ARE LOOKING AT TO GET A FULL APPRECIATION OF THE LOCATION AND PROPERTY
We expect all guests when they checkout to “sweep out” the cottage and strip the bed(s). All linens will be secured in provided laundry bags. We have never had to withhold any portion of any guests security deposit. Just “leave it as you found it”, and your security deposit will be returned upon checkout.

The Outback is an uniquely private cottage. Not the typical crowded neighborhoods, in high traffic areas. Huge outdoor quiet space, with stone fire pit and patio.
Google Earth the property. Airline Rd across from Cedar Pond Dennis (maps and gps often identify property in Brewster. The “front” of the property is in East Dennis, and the Outback and field is in Brewster.

Private Cottage on 2 Acres of Tranquil Fields and Gardens
This spacious 4-room, 1 bedroom cottage immaculately maintained offers the most uniquely private, comfortable, and affordable vacation experience. 1 bedroom with a queen-sized bed, in a spacious air-conditioned master bedroom. The reading room offers a comfy full-size futon. There is a large custom designed dressing area with an indoor shower, storage, 2 large closets and appropriate lighting. (There is also a wonderful private outdoor shower).
The living/kitchenette area is right outside the master bedroom. There is a small bathroom (toilet/sink) tucked in the corner for privacy. The air-conditioned living/kitchenette area is open and bright with cathedral ceilings, a skylight, and a ceiling fan to circulate the fresh Cape Cod Air. There is a 46” flat screen TV to enjoy from the comfortable new love seat. (basic comcast cable services, ready to stream any of your subscriptions). A drop-leaf kitchen table seats 4 when extended. There is a full-size refrigerator, full size sink, counters and cabinets, and MANY small appliances for your convenience. There is not a conventional stove in this unit. There is a convection/microwave oven as well as an infusion cook-top, and a single counter-top electric cook-top, coffee maker etc. A doorway from the living area also opens to the outside and parking. There is a circular driveway that offers the opportunity to boat owner’s easy access and parking for boat trailers. There is storage for bikes right outside the door.
The new patio is tucked behind a flowering herb garden, and offers new patio furniture and weber propane gas grill. There is also a great outdoor fire pit to enjoy, on those summer nights. And of course….a traditional outdoor Cape Cod shower.
