This cabin was built for guests of a dude ranch that operated here 70-80 years ago and has been beautifully kept up with just enough conveniences to be comfortable but not so many as to lose any charm. I stayed two chilly, rainy November nights. Portable electric space heaters were provided, but I had no problem starting the old wood stove, and plenty of kindling and firewood had been provided. I would have wished for a better reading setup; other than two dining stools at the free-standing butcher block table, the only place to sit anywhere near the stove was a minimally padded love seat with a somewhat dim light behind it. It goes without saying there's nothing like a desk, and the WiFi is spotty. This would be a poor choice for anyone contemplating a working getaway. I think the cabin is largely targeted for summer visitors who will enjoy the large deck, the long sunny days, and lots of outdoors activities. Still, I had a great time and would go back -- even in November!
