Nice house in a good location with space for 4 families. Well equipped and nice pool, not massive but big enough for sure. We had a fab week on a budget here with a great trip to Paris for the day. Was surprised to arrive to a long list of demands in terms of how we use the property. You might want to share that before people book. We were happy to be in bed early some folks may not. Nathalie was lovely and took us through a long orientation about house functions and rules " no evenings" and " no music outside" make sure we cover the pool each night etc. A neighbour came to complain one afternoon as they took exception to the fun being had in the pool. We are probably loud but it was the middle of the day. A bit run down and needs some TLC as the table tennis had no functional net, we had to tie wrap one on to make it work. The pool table had no working cues or chalk, so we had to buy them. Door handles fall off, no hot water in the kitchen, toilets don't flush well, holes in ceilings in the top bedroom with insulation falling through. It was a shame as the house could be magnificent as it backs into the woods with a lovely garden and patio space. Beds are super comfortable and over all good value for money. Some effort and love would go a long way but no doubt push the price up too. Also worth noting a lot of stairs and low ceilings as the property is old and quirky which was lovely. We had 4 over 70 so some tricky moments navigating steps with bags etc. Nice place to stay.

WE ENTRE AMIS

Nous avons passé trois jours dans cette grande maison familiale. Nous étions 6 familles et il y a 6 espaces avec lit double salle de bain/WC distincts et en plus quelques chambres dortoirs avec des lits d’enfants / lits superposés. C’était idéal pour notre grand groupe. La maison est très bien équipée pour les enfants ; lits à barreaux, jeux, BD, barrières pour les escaliers, chaises hautes, vaisselle adaptée etc et les espaces de vie sont spacieux. Le trampoline est un vrai plus ! Et nous avons fait un super bbq sur la belle terrasse. La vie de la forêt est très apaisante. Seul bémol ; la piscine hors d’usage et un peu dangereuse pour les enfants.

Wonderful Stay

We were a family of 12 and the property was even larger than we needed. There was a lot to do (Pool, pool table, games, lovely outdoor area with awning to eat/relax, proximity to Paris with public transport) just to name a few. Plenty of places to shop for food and eat out within a reasonable distance. Charming house with lots of layout changes, a little mazelike. The only negative is that there are a lot of stairs if you have any trouble climbing them, which some of us did.

Big comfortable house close to Paris

Thanks so much for a great stay. Nathalie was lovely to us and really helpful and responsive. The house was in a great spot, The beds were comfy, there was lots of space for our big group and we loved hanging out here! The garden was big and even in the bad weather, we used it lots and the kids had loads of fun!

Fijn verblijf met familie

Een heel fijn en vooral groot huis om te verblijven met een groot gezelschap. Wij waren hier met drie families en hebben een heerlijke week gehad. Het huis is goed uitgerust, het zwembad is heerlijk, er is meer dan genoeg ruimte en vertier voor alles en iedereen. Sommige kamers zouden echter wel een kleine opfrisbeurt kunnen gebruiken en sommige buitenmeubels zijn dringend aan vervanging toe. Al met al een fijne week gehad in een heerlijk landelijk stukje Frankrijk (je zit midden in de landschappen van Van Gogh) met op steenworp afstand zeer interessante plaatsen en plekken als Parijs, Rouen, Versailles en Giverny.

Excellent venue for a big family reunion with young children

This large house is great for a large family reunion. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms (most of them with showers in bath tubs, but one or two with separate showers), lots of equipment (high chairs, strollers) and toys (kitchenettes, rocking horse..) for young children / toddlers. The house has a huge back yard, trampoline, ping pong table, mini house/shed for young kids, swings, a pool/billiard room, and a swimming pool (which we didn't use - it was December). The house is not as isolated as it may seem from photos. The front of the of the house is directly on the village street. Easy to go for short walks and hikes with kids. 5-7-minutes drive away in Seraincourt is a boucherie and a boulangerie. A bit further out (~15 minute drive) are several good options for supermarkets (Casino, Auchan, ...) , fruit/veg (Entrepot). Only slight downsides we noted: one towel per person was provided, but bathrooms did not have hand towels (and for all but one or two: no soap/handwash either); many of the games and toys were incomplete; the kitchen was not stocked with many basics (e.g. oil etc) which we had to buy; no audio equipment to play any music (some kind of bluetooth speaker would have been great). Otherwise everything was great - the owner was super helpful as was the local housekeeper (for example buying a piece of kitchen equipment we needed and dropping it off the next day, responding to questions about the house almost instantly). Bon week end en famille

Cette maison offre la possibilité d’un tres bon week end en famille ou entre amis nombreux, à deux pas de Paris. Jardin et piscine agréable. BBQ bien équipe. Beaucoup de place et de couchages. Maison un peu vieillotte et en étages.

Geweldig huis met veel ruimte.Met een grote groep toch veel privecy

Bijna alles positief. Jammer dat er geen informatiemap aanwezig was. Een wandelkaart of fietskaart zou zeer wenselijk zijn. Het huis, zwembad en tuin waren voor de kinderen geweldig. Jammer dat het zwemwater wat groen kleurde. De poolboy had een ongelukje gehad en kon dit niet bijhouden. Overmacht dus. Verder alles uitstekend.

Séjour idéal pour grands et petits

La maison correspond exactement à la description et le propriétaire nous a fourni toutes les précisions que nous demandions. Lui-même et Nathalie, la personne chargée de la maison, ont tout mis en œuvre pour que le séjour se passe au mieux. Le propriétaire fournit une note décrivant les lieux et le matériel disponible. La maison est belle, très grande et bien entretenue. Elle offre de nombreuses possibilités pour les familles. Nous étions 8 adultes et 8 enfants de 3 à 12 ans. C'était le WE de Noël. La maison est bien chauffée et nous avons profité de la cheminée. La cuisine est très bien équipée, la vaisselle abondante et jolie et le propriétaire laisse les ingrédients secs des locataires, donc on ne manque pas d'épices ni d'ingrédients de base (huile, vinaigre). Le propriétaire laisse aussi des jouets de ses enfants qui ont beaucoup plu à nos petits-enfants, ainsi qu'une table de ping-pong, parfaite pour les grands. Il n'y a pas de TV, ce que j'ai apprécié. En revanche le WiFi a marché sans problème. Le jardin lui aussi est un endroit magique pour les enfants : très grand et avec des jeux comme une cabane, un toboggan et un trampoline. Il faut savoir cependant que la piscine, située en prolongement de la grande terrasse (volet électrique étanche) n'est pas clôturée, ce qui peut effrayer si les enfants ne sont pas disciplinés (les nôtres l'ont été et n'ont pas joué à cet endroit, comme nous le leur avons demandé mais c'est à mon avis le seul point un peu négatif mais le propriétaire ayant de jeunes enfants je suppose qu'il a confiance dans la sécurité en place). L'endroit est très calme. La campagne est paisible mais nous n'avons pas eu le loisir, faute de temps, d'en explorer les possibilités On se trouve au bout du monde et pourtant il y a une boulangerie dans le village voisin et une zone commerçante très bien fournie en frais (très beau Primeurs) et en surgelés (Picard) à 1/4h de route. Une gare, à Meulan-Hardricourt, relie à St-Lazare en une heure, ce qui s'est révélé pratique. Bref je ne peux que recommander cette propriété pour un séjour en famille ou entre amis.

Séjour de rêve

Nous nous sommes réunis a 15 adultes pendant 2 jours pour une cousinade et avons beaucoup apprécié le cadre de vie et la maison très spacieuse et confortable Nous avions eu de bons échanges avec le proprietaire qui a répondu a toutes nos questions et avons été très bien accueillis par Nathalie Les cousins ravis par le choix de cette maison et prêts a revenir très vite et a faire découvrir cette maison a leurs amis Merci😀😀😀😀
