Thank you for your feedback. I always appreciate honest reviews, and I genuinely accept that the mattresses may not have suited your personal preference. We use medium-firm mattresses, which most guests find comfortable. Had you contacted me during your stay, I would have happily arranged mattress toppers (subject to availability), as I always try my best to resolve any issues while guests are still in the apartment. That said, I also feel it is important to present the full picture for future hosts. During your stay, the apartment suffered unnecessary damage. The marina side bedroom lock was forced with such force that it broke completely. Although it was a Saturday evening, I immediately arranged for someone to attend and resolve the situation so your stay could continue uninterrupted. In addition, there was damage to the wall and one of the rattan chairs, both of which required repairs after your departure. The apartment was also left in an exceptionally poor condition. Dirty dishes were left throughout the kitchen, rubbish and other items were scattered around, towels were left outside on the terrace where some were blown into the marina, and the overall condition went well beyond what would normally be expected after a holiday stay. Regarding the household supplies, this is a self-catering holiday apartment, not a hotel. As clearly stated in the listing and welcome information, we provide complimentary starter essentials for the first day or two. A large supermarket is only a few minutes’ walk away for anything guests require during the remainder of their stay. I always strive to be accommodating and respond quickly whenever guests need assistance, but I also expect guests to treat the property with reasonable care and respect. Unfortunately, due to the damage caused and the condition in which the apartment was left, I would not be able to host your group again and would not recommend you to other hosts.

Our mattresses are fairly new and we use medium-firm as they tend to suit most guests, but we also provide mattress toppers on request (at no extra cost) for those who prefer a softer bed. The same goes for pillows ,we keep both softer and firmer options available to try and meet different preferences. If we had known during your stay, we would have been happy to adjust this for you. Regarding access, the apartment is on the first floor with wide stairs. While most guests manage fine, we always recommend letting us know in advance about any mobility concerns so we can advise if this apartment is the right fit. Regrettably, there might have been a misunderstanding regarding the fireplace; it requires only the purchase of logs to function optimally. Fortunately, our location shields us from direct, harsh sunlight for the majority of the year, providing a tranquil ambiance complemented by stunning year-round sunsets. Our laundry services adhere to professional standards, and for any specific preferences or changes needed, a simple request or use of our quality washer-dryer is at your disposal. For future reference, if you have communicated any of the above during your stay most of them wouldn’t have been an issue;-(

Dear Jason you might be right in saying that my approach wasn't as friendly as we both would have liked, however when you weren't open to accept my response based on facts their wasn't much room for continuing talking unless i was to agree with you... when you arrived the sofa wasn't damaged, within days of you stay we was notified by you that it was....you said you contacted us on the first day yet no message was received, Marcia happened to be in block for other things and you told her, she went in to inspect it (noting kids using sofa and front room as a camping site/playing) all the cushion from the sofa on the floor, obviously i wasn't there but if you take cushions off and then jump on sofa is very likely it will get damaged, kids didn't mean to do i know that But you can not just say that wasn't you and that makes it final. the damage cost a lot more then £200 so i am not doing it for the money but yes for the principal. I am deeply sorry and upset for both of us.
