The property is very quirky, not particularly a traditional holiday home as there are numerous personal belongings inside. Some may like that, some may not. The house is huge so no shortage of space, although the kitchen and bathrooms are a little tired. The show stopper is the outside area which is perfect for relaxing afternoons by the pool - very well equipped with sun chairs, a hammock and shaded section. Marc is an excellent host, providing a welcome pack of wine and local delicacies plus information and advice re places to visit. His English is as limited as our French but we got by! There are numerous beautiful places to visit, most well within an hour away, although many are via Montpellier and horrendous roadworks and diversions. No ring road?! Beware of mosquitos, they are awful. Overall, we enjoyed our holiday and would recommend Marc and his house.

Maison bien équipée et sécurisante pour des vacances avec enfant et bébé de 2 ans ( terrain et piscine clôturés, barrières escaliers .. ) grand jardin arboré pour de supers cache-cache ! 5 fit geriatrics so Montpelier and surrounding area.

The property was lovely with a gorgeous pool area. It was very well equipped. It had a variety of outside seating areas so you could find shade. It was extremely hot during our visit, up to 36 degrees while we were there. The air con provision was outdated so property got very hot.The upper bedroom area was delightful and stayed cool but the first landing area got stifling. The ground floor Italian shower room was extremely slippy and dangerous so great care was needed. The main bathroom was spacious but did not have a working shower. The location was close to many outstanding areas...beautiful villages , rivers to swim in and a fabulous cave complex...a must to visit. Montpelier was difficult to drive through,but a beautiful city to walk around.Sete on the west of the city was charming and close to a stunning sandy beach.Mosquitoes are a real problem and particularly in the hot temperatures. The villa owner did leave plenty of sprays etc and they were not a problem indoors.I ordered sheets and towels but they were of poor quality....especially in extreme heat. The property could have been cleaner on arrival but was acceptable.The owner was pleasant and hospitable but only speaks French...luckily our party had 2 who could speak French.I would definitely revist the villa but at a much cooler time of year...early spfing I would suggest.Despite the criticisms we had a wonderful holiday.

Jolie maison au calme avec belle piscine dans une banlieue calme de Montpellier

Jolie maison de vacances localisée dans un quartier calme et pavillonnaire, à quelques kilomètres au nord de Montpellier. La piscine, filtrée au sel, est particulièrement agréable. Le jardin est joliment arboré et propose quelques coins ombragés pour déjeuner ou dîner à l’extérieur. le propriétaire est plein d’attention et de bons conseils. Son accueil est très sympathique. Le seul petit bémol est la cuisinière au gaz qu’il reste à mieux régler !

Belle villa proche de Montpellier et de la mer

Accueil sympathique du propriétaire avant notre installation. La maison est grande, propre et très agréable à habiter pour un séjour en famille ou entre amis, dans une belle région. Nombreuses chambres et salles de bains, 2 WC. Sans oublier les 2 terrasses pour déjeuner ou dîner au calme dehors. La piscine est grande et bien entretenue. Nous reviendrons probablement pour une autre semaine, voire plus. Encore merci à Monsieur Valat pour sa gentillesse.

Peaceful location

The property is in a peaceful location surrounded by trees and the directions to get here were easy enough to follow. Marc is very welcoming and met us at the house to show us around and he also gave us tips of where to visit in the area. The house is very spacious and had everything we needed including a well equipped kitchen. There are a few shops within walking distance and the small market on a Sunday morning in the town is definitely worth a visit. Montpellier is surprisingly easy to visit by public transport and it’s also very cheap to get there! We were also well placed to visit other towns in the area such as Sete and Nîmes. We also drove to Figueres to visit the Dalí museum. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to visit the area again!

Erholsame Wochen in schöner Umgebung

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen erholsamen Urlaub in dem sehr schönen Haus und Garten. Es gibt zwei schöne Terrassen, die wir zu allen Mahlzeiten gerne genutzt haben. Die Wohngegend ist sehr ruhig und schön, der Blick ist immer ins Grüne. In knapp 10 min liegt ein kleiner Marktplatz mit gutem Bäcker und allen notwendigen Geschäften. Im Nachbarort ca 10 min mit dem Auto ist ein grosser Intermarché und ein neues Kino. Herr Valat hat uns sehr gut mit vielen Informationen versorgt, sei es das große Fest im Nachbarort, Märkte und ganze Ausflüge. Vielen Dank dafür. Montpellier liegt rund 20 min entfernt und ist eine sehenswerte Stadt mit vielen gemütlichen Plätzen und Cafés. Der Strand ist rund 45 min entfernt. Wir kommen wieder

Bon séjour à St. Clément de Rivière

La maison a répondu à nos attentes. Marc Valat a été très attentif pour que notre séjour se passe au mieux. St. Clément de Rivière est un très bel endroit avec un petit centre commercial à 10 min à pied.

Une très bonne adresse pour des vacances réussies

Spacieuse et agréable maison de famille où tout est fait pour vous y sentir comme à la maison. La literie est confortable pour un repos optimal car c'est bien connu, les vacances c'est fatiguant ! :-) Espace piscine très propre et bien entretenu, plusieurs espaces extérieurs pour se poser en fonction de la météo. L'accueil est convivial et chaleureux, merci encore Mr Valat pour les petites attentions.

Très belles vacances

Nous avons passé de très belles vacances dans la grande et belle maison. Les terrasses et balcons sont très charmants. La piscine est fantastique aussi et bon pour les enfants et les adultes. Marc est très gentil, sympathique et serviable. Nous pouvons fortement recommander cette location.

Très belle villa parfaite pour des vacances entre amis

Le séjour était parfait, la maison suffisamment grande pour que chacun ait son espace. Et la piscine sécurisée, très agréable, surtout quand il fait chaud. La communication avec le propriétaire a également été super, rien à redire. Quant à la localisation, tout près de Montpellier, était très appréciable. Beaucoup d'activités à faire à proximité. Nous reviendrons !

Cadeau de bienvenue offert par notre charmant propriétaire qui a été aux petits soins pendant notre séjour. Malgré une déco un peu vieillotte, tout est là pour passer de bonnes vacances. A savoir, beaucoup de moustiques dans la région depuis quelques années...

Très bon séjour

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié ce séjour, la maison est très bien placée et calme. Elle est bien équipée et sécurisée. La piscine privative chauffée est un vrai plus. Le jardin, les arbres et les cigales complètent cette ambiance du sud que nous venions chercher. Marc Valat est disponible, de bon conseil et très sympathique. Nous recommandons vivement cette location.

idéal pour vacances en famille

Nous avons passé 15 jours formidables, la maison est spacieuse, confortable et très bien équipée que ce soit en vaisselle ou en jeux de piscine , tout est prévu pour passer des vacances sereines avec les enfants petits ou plus grands car il ne manque absolument rien.l espace piscine est magnifique ,arboré et très bien sécurisé. Le jardin fleuri et ombragé accueille des écureuils qui ont fait le bonheur de mes petits enfants. les commerces â proximité, 10 minutes à pieds sont un plus . l environnement est calme et nous avons passé de belles soirées bercés par le chant des cigales .Merci monsieur pour votre accueil chaleureux!

Excellent family holiday

A beautiful stay in Saint Clément de Rivière close by to extended family. Marc was extremely accomodating to our two young children with gates for the stairs, cots and bedding and a high chair. The house was quirky, homely and well equipt. Ample parking, lovely garden and excellent pool area.

Très bon séjour !

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine dans la maison de Mr VALAT. L'accueil a été très bon, la maison est grande, très bien équipée. Les terrasses sont très agréables, ombragées chacune leur tour, pour pouvoir y manger matin et soir sans trop souffrir de la chaleur. La literie est confortable. Nous n'avons pas utilisé la clim mais elle est disponible. La piscine est grande, et l'espace autour est exceptionnel, permettant de boire l'apéritif et manger autour. Elle est très bien équipée également (parasol, chaise longue, bouées pour les enfants....) et sécurisée. Le village est accessible à pieds en 10 minutes environ, avec les commerces de base (boulanger, pharmacie, boucherie, petit Casino..) Le seul bémol, mais qui n'a pas gaché les vacances, est le manque d'animation à St Clément ! Je recommande en tout cas !
