次の世紀には、プロパティ、目的地、フォームを変更することが多く、都市への唯一の自然なアクセスを守るためにVicoのPrefectsによって初期の中世に建てられました。 Della Rovereの所有権の下、Anguillara、Della RovereおよびFarneseの伯爵の特権であり、Della Rovereの所有下にあり、特に1475年から1480年の間に大きな変更が加えられ、Pope Sixtus IVによって委託された再編が行われた。フィレンツェの建築家ジョヴァンニ・ドルチは、円形のキープと4つの要塞塔をコーナーに追加することでそれを修正しました。この城はまた、現在の人気の名前 "I Torrioni"にも与えられました。 著名な人々がそこに住んでいた、教皇Sixtus IVと教皇ポール3世を含む。 1649年には聖なる宮殿の所有となり、1756年にジェノバ・ジローラモ・マルに譲渡し、その保存と装飾に専念しました。

Fantastic

Ronciglione Castle "The Torrioni" is a very special place to stay. This 13th century building is full of history that will not disappoint. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming ♥️🙏Thanks for the incredible experience and for opening your home to us.

Beautiful old castle

A very beautiful old castle with an interesting history. Our holiday was amazing in this small town. The people and our host have been very friendly and courteous and the apartment was perfect to stay in this hot summer. We just can say " thank you for everything" and recommend to everyone!!!

Amazing!!!

The Castle was amazing! It was everything we had hoped for and more. Fredrico and his family were the best and made us feel like part of the family. It was an easy walk to whatever we wanted to see in Ronciglione. As a matter of fact, we would not have even known or explored this great little town had it not been for the Castle. They have done a spectacular job of restoring the Castle and keeping its authenticity with modern conveniences. A hidden jewel!!

Very Hospitable and beautiful

Federico was extremely helpful even though I failed to follow directions. I can't believe how beautiful the art and apartment are. Again, Federico has been amazing and extremely patient with me. I am very grateful for his hospitality. He even helped us with luggage!! Amazing property and owner.

Amazing Experience!

Well, this was a bucket list item-to stay in an old castle-and this experience did not disappoint! The host met us and helped us with various items such as parking and reservations-she was so very lovely and helpful! The guardian of the property, Salvadore, gave us a tour of the castle and shared the details of the restorations he did. This very old castle has significant history with 2 popes having lived in this fortress/castle. The location is amazing with the old town right outside your door. The town is interesting and easy to explore. We also went to a town close by called Calcutta, which we would also highly recommend. I would HIGHLY recommend this experience. Bring a sweater as it can be cool in the castle would be my advise. The facility is very comfortable and well equipped. I hope we can come back for another visit!

Perfekte Zeitreise ins Spätmittelalter

Unser 1-wöchiger Aufenthalt im Appartement Giulia versprach sehr viel und löste noch mehr ein: zwei wunderbar eingerichtete Räume im Mittelalterstyle mit liebevoll ausgesuchtem Mobiliar, ein modernes Bad und eine kleine Schlossküche, dazu Zutritt auf eine große Burgterasse. Die wunderbare und charmante Römerin Francesca spricht perfekt Englisch; mit ihr und in der Burg haben wir uns in der tollen mittelalterlichen und auch barocken Kleinstadt Ronciglione sehr, sehr wohlgefühlt. Wir kommen wieder!

A wonderful and unique experience

My partner and I stayed in the Ronciglione Torrioni, a real medieval fortress revived by the lady Francesca, her husband and son. From years of abandon, the family took great care to bring this massive and ancient fortress to life with care and attention to details, restoring original furnitures and fixings, while adding essentials for comfort. we stayed in the more 'original' of the two apartments, with beautiful vaulted ceilings and kitchen in the common area. The other apartment is more modern with more modern appliances. We were absolutely in love with the place. Comfortable, grand and cozy despite the fact that we were sleeping in a Fort - designed for soldiers. A beautiful view from the bedroom and bathroom of the surrounding town of Ronciglione, and a wishing well in courtyard. The experience is absolutely unique! Beautiful! The host Francesca and her son Federico met us at the Fortress and gave us a tour and history of the place, as well as recommendations for places to eat snd visit. Both are absolutely delightful people, friendly, attentive, and quick to respond to any question. We are very grateful to them and for their hospitality. I will definitely return and I highly recommend it!

Struttura fantastica. Accoglienza premurosa.

Week end magico in un vero castello passeggiando nella storia. Ambienti suggestivi e romantici fanno da cornice ad una vacanza dove il tempo sembra sospeso. L'eleganza e la cura dei dettagli ti circondano ovunque. L'accoglienza, familiare e premurosa, ti fa sentire a casa. Un'esperienza da ripetere e, senz'altro, da consigliare.

Beautiful old castle near marvelous mountain lake!

Don't miss this opportunity! Brilliant old italian castle with modern comfort. Very stylish interior, a lot of restoration work. The hosts are very nice and helpful. I would love to visit this place again and again.
