This beach rental was Perfect! It has the best views. The private beach and pool were amazing and all the amenities you could think of. Can’t wait to book our next family trip here for next year. Host was very responsive to any questions we had.

This house is absolutely perfect—well-stocked, with a great layout, a huge patio overlooking the ocean, and a beautiful backyard. From kayaks and paddle boats to the beach and the pool, the kids and the adults had plenty of activities. Most of our afternoons were spent on the beach, watching the kids play volleyball and boating for hours. The very clear, calm water is right there, in your backyard, with plenty of snorkeling, boating, and fishing just off your private beach, which made it for hours of easy, relaxing entertainment. Our kids are very adventurous and love seeing what's around when we are on vacation - this was the very first time they did not want to stay away from the house for too long because they did not want to miss out on all the activities at the beach. And if you love lobsters, do not go buying them - we caught plenty in our own backyard. Our kids are a little older, so we let them take over the downstairs space with the game room. They loved their little independence, and adults loved the chill time on the patio.A fully stocked kitchen, plenty of towels and household supplies, and a super responsive and accommodating host made this an even better experience. Loved every minute of it.

The place is actually better than the pictures portrays and we thought it looked great from the pictures. The host was the best! She gets an A from all of us. We flew our 30 something kids down, we drove with the dogs. 7 adults and 1 2 yr old, 2 dogs and the place had lots of room. I can’t begin to describe all the extra touches that just makes this home above and beyond. We already booked it for next year. For all of us Great Lakes lake effect snow victims, Christmas in the Keys is a nice refreshing break from all the snow and cold. If you stay here Robbie’s is less than 5 miles. Check it out first for activities. Next year, that’s what we are doing. Also, hired a photographer, he was great and very professional. I gave Ellen his contact info. I will post a couple of his pictures when he posts them.

The property on Lower Matecumbe Beach is absolutely ideal. It has everything you could possibly need, including laundry and shower essentials, kitchen supplies, and beach towels. The game room was well-equipped to keep everyone entertained. Both the beach and pool were exceptional, providing a perfect spot for relaxation. We thoroughly enjoyed our time by the pool whenever we wished. Additionally, the location is fantastic, conveniently close to all the activities you want to experience. We had a problem one night with the sample alarm beeping and after contacting them, it was taken care of very quickly.

Beautiful House!

The house was gorgeous and every possible amenity was provided. It was so nice that the homeowner provided good quality beach towels and lots of them! There were extra sheets if you needed them. Just every possible need was anticipated. The view was lovely. The beach was lovely except for the seaweed, but the homeowner can't control that. We'd love to come back in the winter when the seaweed isn't so bad. The pool was great. The beds were comfortable. All in all, probably the nicest house we've stayed in. Thanks!

This House is Top Notch!

Beautiful home! The time and details this owner has put into this home is noted. Everything you need is there! And she buys like I buy, quality materials to use (Dawn, Meyers, etc) beach towels to use was nice! Love the washer and dryer. We used it multiple times everyday to keep up and came home with clean clothes! We wore the pool out since we couldn’t use the beach. The sargassum is at record breaking high! It’s turtle season until October! The sargassum is literally about 12ft out. The smell was so loud could almost taste it. Although the sargassum prevented us from use of the paddle boards and kayaks, you can go down the street to Founders Park and get free admission with your reservation with the address listed. A local told me about Sombrero Beach, said it was the most beautiful beach in the Keys but we never made it there due to all the other activities we did. I’d love to take this house and place it on an oceanfront beach access. Due to not being able to access the beach because of sargassum and the smell, I wouldn’t stay here again though. But if sargassum isn’t issue for you, this is a wonderful place.

Fun place to stay

I would stay there again just not in the summer. The pool was great and the house was great. From May till September there is algae that washes up and it is illegal to move it. This algae smells like dead crawfish! You can smell it as soon as you meter the property. You get used to it after a while but leave and comeback and it hits you in the face. Beautiful property and the host was great.

We recently stayed at this property with extended family—my nieces and great-nieces stayed upstairs while I stayed in the downstairs suite. The home is well appointed, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked.However, there were two major issues that affected our stay. First, the beach was completely covered in sargassum (sea grass), and the water remained thick with it for what appeared to be at least 500 yards out. The smell was strong and unpleasant from the moment we arrived, and the beach was unfortunately unusable. When I brought this up to the maintenance person, I was told it was “common for this time of year” and that, because it was sea turtle nesting season, they were not permitted to clean or remove the sea grass or any of the trash that had washed up. If this is the case, it should absolutely be disclosed in the listing so guests can make an informed decision.Second, the volleyball net—which looks inviting in the photos—is set up on sand that has a noticeable downward slope toward the ocean. About a third of the playable area is uneven and slanted, which made it feel like a twisted ankle waiting to happen. There’s ample level ground closer to the house where it could be relocated more safely, so this setup was a bit confusing.The house itself is lovely and comfortable, but these two factors—the unusable beachfront and the unsafe vo

Relaxing trip to the keys with kids

We just returned from a great stay in Islamorada. This house was a great place for two families to stay. The house is very well outfitted with everything you might need. The kids loved the pool, basketball and playing whiffle ball on the sandy beach yard. The views of the ocean are beautiful. There are plenty of areas to sit and relax both inside and outside. We had an awesome trip, I wish we could go back now!

Awesome trip

The property was exactly as advertised: spacious, well equipped, beautiful. Awesome huge heated pool. Beautiful location on the beach- incredible view! Well equipped kitchens. Excellent outdoor furnishings on balcony. The property has incredible privacy given it's location. Easy drive (1hr 45 min) to Key West. Great local restaurants. My husband and I stayed with my two sisters and their husbands. We brought our two small dogs and they had a blast. Would love to come here again!

Family Vacation in Paradise

This vrbo has it all with spectacular views on your own private beach! We were a family of 8 who had plenty of room, comfy beds, stocked kitchens, lots of outdoor furniture, heated pool, and gorgeous views! You arrive to your own gated home with instant views of your private beach area, heated swimming pool, lots of lounge chairs and tables with chairs. You have a fire table next to the pool that offers an amazing place to sit with a drink and soak it all in. There are paddle boards, kayaks, pool floats and sand toys already there for your use along with a volleyball net on the beach. The downstairs apartment is separate from upstairs with it's own separate entrance. My husband and I did not mind because we were there with our adult children & grandkids and enjoyed our own area. It has a bedroom with king bed & bathroom, living room, kitchen, 2nd bathroom, and game tables such as Pacman, foosball, and air hockey. It has beautiful views of the beach and ocean. Upstairs has 3 bedrooms (one has a king bed and the other 2 have 2 beds), 2 bathrooms, large stocked kitchen, living room, and large dining area. It has a wonderful wrap around porch with comfy furniture & grill and offers those same gorgeous views of the ocean inside and out. My 1 piece of advice is to read about Sargassum (has nothing to do with the house or owner, but good to learn about) The owner, Ellen, is great at communication and quick to respond! The area is fun with great restaurants & activities!

Amazing! Family hated to leave!

Property is private and beautiful. Every possible amenity is included - even paddle boards and kayaks. Private beach, heated pool right on the beach. Family felt like they were in their own private paradise. Excellent location near all the best restaurants in Islamorada. Not far from Sombrero Beach and Bahia Honda - two great beaches. Super comfortable. We asked for a Christmas tree as we were staying over Christmas and they decorated the entire house, upstairs and down. Could not have been nicer to us.

Perfect family spot

The house is great for a family. The kitchen has everything you need. There are some things that could use an upgrade or fix, such as the shower heads, a couple doorknobs, dusty cabinets, and other finishes. However, none of that detracted from what this property has to offer. The incredible heated pool gave our family the best memories. The air hockey, foosball table and pac man game was a fun surprise. Loved the fire tables and really appreciated the extra propane tanks left in the shed. The beach is also incredible. The seagrass was a lot when we were there, but that didn't stop us from playing in the sand. We had a couple things we needed the property manager for and he replied to texts super fast and showed up, or sent someone, to correct the small issues we had right away. The area is also great with many restaurants and stuff to do within 10-15 minute drive. Highly recommend this property.

Birthday celebration

Enjoyed our stay for my birthday celebration. Location was perfect - near shops and restaurants. Crib and high chair was great for grandson. Pool was wonderful - every day swimming! Weather was great until day we left - Hurricane Helene!

Beautiful property

Beautiful property, incredibly private. The beach, deck, and outside areas were spectacular. We had three chicken friends that visited every day! We traveled to Marathon, Key West, and Tavernier while there, as well as Islamorada. Publix was right in town and we bought some groceries there, but also enjoyed many area restaurants. I think the listing should be updated as the beds were configured differently than we thought (2 bedrooms had 2 twin beds) and it worked for our family but might not for groups with couples. Also, the downstairs and upstairs are separate— you have to go outside to access one area from the other. Again, that didn’t bother us, but it was a surprise. Inside was plenty of space to come together and hang out or find some private areas to be alone. The owner was incredibly communicative and helpful, even calling the day we arrived to make sure everything was working out.

Great location! Beds were comfortable. Pool is huge. The house has too many issues to get 5 stars. Dirty and sticking doors and dirty under beds, chaotic kitchen, leaking ceilings, patched but unpainted walls . House needs to be edited and organized. Not user friendly. Lots of poor quality, unusable items cluttering up the inside and outside.

Great stay

We had a wonderful time hanging out on the beach and in the pool. Our boys loved the paddle boards and kayaks and the air hockey table. We couldn’t recommend this property more.
