Updated for 2024! Ground floor Condo with two steps that lead out the back lanai to the white sands of the private beach of Longboat Key. You can't get any closer to the beach than in this unit. The private beaches out the back door offer miles of shell collecting, sandcastle making, snorkeling, and dolphin sightings. Silver Sands Resorts offers on-site management to accommodate your every need.
Unit 240 has one private master bedroom with king size bed and flat screen tv. Living room with queen sleeper sofa and flat screen Smart tv that leads into the full size kitchen fully equipped for meals at the dining room table or out on the back screened lanai that face the ocean. From the back lanai you can enjoy the unobstructed view of the Gulf of Mexico and hear the waves roll in. While living here you can leave the sliding door open and hear the waves while you cook, read or sleep.
Enjoy the heated salt water outdoor pool that is 10 steps out the front door with complimentary chaise lounges and umbrellas. Tan, swim or read and watch the kids at the pool while you grill out on the barbecue.
The resort also has shuffleboard and mini putt-putt located on the property that will keep everyone busy and happy.

Perfect little beach getaway

Our first visit to this part of the gulf coast and this was so perfect. The beach was just outside the back door and the porch is perfect for morning coffee and evening drinks listening to the ocean and birds. Amazing sunsets as well.

Birthday getaway

Excellent spot to celebrate my wife's birthday. Location was great, easy to get around Longboat Key. Excellent choice of restaurants, all very close by. Walking out to the beach everyday was exactly what we needed. Very nice room, A/C worked great, very comfortable and roomy bed. Kitchen was put to good use every morning.

Right on the Beach takes it over the top

My wife and I returned to Silver Sands unit #240 because it is close to the Gulf of Mexico waves, and is a quiet spot on Longboat Key. The unit was clean, with quality towels & linens, and an efficient kitchen. All you need : basic not fancy. Quiet and right on the beach. Lots of good restaurants within 5 -15 min drive.

I am a wife of 24 years and mother to two sons in their 20's. My husband is originally from Thousand Oaks California, but moved to Muncie Indiana to be near family. I am originally from northwest Indiana and moved down to Muncie to attend Ball State. We are a very active family and now as empty nesters I look forward to traveling.

When we toured different places on Longboat Key and the surrounding area as an investment opportunity and somewhere we would want to vacation, there was no comparison once we found Unit 240. We looked at high rises, but the ideal place I had in mind was also a vacation for me (mom). I didn't want to pack 3 bags and take an elevator to make it to the sand. Since the boys were 6 and 4 it has been exactly what I was looking for. I can sit out on the lanai and watch them on the beach. If you forget a shovel or sunscreen it's just 20 steps back to our place to retrieve it. The chaise lounges waiting on the beach and the close proximity to pool is what I wanted.

Unit 240 really is our second home. To be able to open the back sliding door and hear the waves while you sleep will never get old. Having the beach so close and private are what I think people are looking for in a vacation. Our condo would be ideal for a honeymooning couple to a family of four. I hope my future grandkids will be able to have the same special memories my boys have made here.
