Perfect stay in Salerno.

We were spending the day in Pompeii, drove 45 minutes to Salerno then on to the Amalfi Coast the next day. This place was just perfect. Valeria was charming. The apartment was spotlessly clean. Breakfast in the morning was awesome. The apartment is located about 20 minutes from the bold downtown, with narrow streets, great places to eat and lots of charm. The beds were very comfortable, the air conditioning worked very well and the bathrooms were new and very clean. Our party of 5 was very comfortable.

Difficult to find

Here was the problem in finding it. I had two GPS devices, a Garmin and my phone and neither could find this street until we passed by it. It took us an hour to find it and we ended up passing through Salerno once and being very frustrated in the process. So get on Via Roma headed west and it turns into this street. We parked in a 24 hour parking garage a few blocks away and after that, everything went smoothly. The host was very helpful, the place was excellent and there are many good restaurants nearby. It is about a mile to the passenger taxis we wanted to take but that was okay too.

Perfect for the family!

Valeria was a wonderful host- such a nice property close to the water! 10+ minutes to restaurants- so many choices. Apartment was clean and Valeria answered questions quickly- very helpful!!

Great location and fantastic Hostess. Valeria Communicated with us well in advance to insure a pleasant stay. The Appatment is comfortable, clean and well kept. I do recommend to stay there. They're friendly people

Simple and comfortable; great location!

We stayed for several nights in early July 2021. Valeria is a wonderful hostess and her pre-arrival communications were very responsive. The apartment is in a great location--easy walking distance to old town Salerno as well as the marina (we chartered a private boat trip to tour the Amalfi Coast one day) and decent restaurants. She helped us get the AC cranked down for us, which we appreciated. She also made dinner reservations for us one night at a local place specializing in gluten-free options and she also arranged for a taxi to pick us up early (6a) on the morning of our departure so we could catch an early train we had scheduled. The two showers were both a little small (I'm 6'/225#) and it was a tight fit. Valeria was kind enough to provide us breakfast both mornings (one was sweet, the other savory, including some GF breads), but perhaps there was a bit of a miscommunication, as I was expecting that the savory/hot breakfast would be prepared (ie., fried bacon and eggs and toast), but rather she left the foods for us in the kitchen early that morning for us to cook ourselves (for some that might be a benefit). Overall, I highly recommend this apartment if you're looking for a clean. simple place to sleep for a few nights in a very good location !

The B&B that was, well just a place to rest.

The property was really nice, 4th floor, small elevator. Balcony views of the street below. It was quiet. Unless a emergency vehicle went by. The street led you down where food and shopping were. Our host Valerie was very nice. She was bubbly and very friendly. Maybe a little too bubbly and friendly. When you turn over the key to a place she needs to work on explaining how things work. I know we are in Italy and cultures mix. For the most part she did. When we had questions I would text her and she would respond. Her English is good but not great. When you come back to the property though, you need to work on announcing yourself. Knock on door, ring bell... don't just let yourself in. It is your residence but you are loaning it out to people. Breakfast was different in it's own way. Not used to someone coming over and setting up the area each morning. In my opinion just drop off pastries and go. You don't have to wait for everyone to get up and say hi to them. We are on vacation and would like to just lounge around. Plus paying extra for breakfast when we got there was a little odd. It was different. Thank you for refunding 2 of them. Print out instructions in english explaining everything going on to help people understand how things work. I hope this helps you in future rentals. The rental is nice, don't get me wrong. Two bedrooms, two baths. Great place to stay if you are using it as a starting point for the amalfi coast. You can get to all the main cities, even Capri from Salerno.

Bellissimo alloggio vicino al porto

Palazzo Scaramella B&B. Bellissimo alloggio vicino al porto veramente nuovo e ben arredato con camere spaziose e confortevoli. Ogni camera ha il bagno privato. La Signora Valeria è gentilissima ospitale e precisa: ogni mattina prepara la colazione sempre abbondantissima con cornetti zeppole torta pane e marmellata etc. etc. La pulizia è perfetta così come tutto l,ambiente. Da tornare di sicuro.

Bellissimo alloggio vicino al porto dì Salerno

Siamo stati al B& Bpalazzo scaramella dall'uno al cinque settembre. L'alloggio è nuovo ben arredato e con bagni e camere spaziosi. La Sig.ra Valeria è di una cortesia incredibile, molto gentile e precisa, prepara la colazione tutt'e le mattine con ogni ben di dio: cornetti zeppole torte pane marmellata e tanto altro ancora. Sicuramente torneremo a trovarla.
