Great place and location

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pajaro Dunes! The Pelican Point condo is conveniently located across from the river with easy access from the back door to the path down to the beach. It was very clean and included a well-stocked kitchen as well as cupboards with books and games, and plenty of linens. It was absolutely lovely and we definitely hope to be back again!

Tranquil

This was a beautiful place to stay especially if you want coziness mixed with lots of original artwork and a house filled with all you might need. It faces the marsh, bird area, but the ocean is just a minute walk down the board path and over a small dune. Great place!

Wow, the pelicans!

Great spot for kids with easy access to the beach. With a wonderful view of the Pajaro River we all loved watching, with the provided binoculars, hundreds of white and brown pelicans resting and feeding right in front of us. Amazing beach that goes on forever.

Perfect location

We loved staying at Parjaro Dunes. It’s close to Santa Cruz and Monterey, and my favorite- Elkhorn Slough (Moss Landing). The condo is spacious and well stocked in the kitchen and with beach items- mats, towels, toys, umbrella, etc. The beach goes on for ever and was right out our door. Quiet and uncrowded .

Overall great stay

My wife and two adult children enjoyed our stay at Pajaro Dunes. The condo was well equipped and in good condition. The proximity to the ocean was great. Having the pickle ball courts on-hand was a hit. The location is convenient for visits north and south. We spent time in Monterey, Big Sur, and Henry Cowell State Park, as well as Pajaro Dunes. Even though some activities were limited due to the heavy rains this year, we still found plenty to do and enjoy.

Pleasant Place

We enjoyed our stay. The weather was beautiful. We walked to the beach easily and used the provided beach chairs. We were disappointed that the BBQ availability had changed recently. No barbecuing is allowed. Other than that a nice time at the beach.

Lovely Condo

This lovely condo surpassed our expectations. Having stayed at other Pajaro Dunes condos, I thought I knew what to expect. The spacious living area and master bedroom was refreshing and beautifully decorated. Nice area to enjoy Monterey and Santa Cruz. Will definitely return.

Great place well equipped

Lovely place. Only cons is queen bed is very hard. Could use a foam topper and too many decorations around. Otherwise very nice decor. You can’t hear the ocean from this unit unfortunately.

Comfortable

It is a nice property with all the comforts of home. Pajaro Dunes stated there is a Mr. Coffee like coffee maker & it does, but this unit also has a Kurig. There beds were really comfortable. I was very impressed with the quality of the pours and pans in the kitchen, usually vaca rentals have the worst cookware. We couldn’t see the ocean from this unit, so that was a little disappointing. It is a quick walk to get to the beach. The location is great to get to Santa a Cruz and Monterey.

This is a great property! I love being able to walk straight out from the unit. It makes it so much better. The unit was great. Well stocked. The check in was bumpy because the keys are so far from the unit. But we figured it out! The kids had a great time, with the beach, Elkhorn Slough safari and a beach fire at night. Thanks as always!

Lovely Condo for Family Reunion and Bird Watching

Four sisters and our 85 year old mother had a wonderful reunion at this lovely Pelican condo. The condo was beautifully and tastefully decorated, with lots of art, including watercolors by the owner. We all fit comfortably in the condo, and enjoyed the cozy robes and well appointed kitchen. This slice of luxury was an interesting contrast to the natural world all around us. From the condo, we could hear and see the surf and take long walks on the beach collecting sea glass and sand dollars. We could also watch the egrets and great blue herons in the Pajaro River, and enjoy the songs of the songbirds on the observation bench overlooking the Watsonville Slough. A very restorative stay for all of us, and a great escape from the mid summer heat.

Stunning location and great property

Listing tend to over-exaggerate how cool a property is, but not so with this one. The condo was beautiful, beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked with equipment, couches were cozy and we were pleasantly surprised at the cute day-bed nook where you can look out the whole area from the window, bonus lender binoculars, beach towels, and stock of games available to use. But really, we all come for the view. When I woke up and came out into the living room in the morning, the sun was rising right into the living room--it was beautiful. you can walk from the back patio right out to the beach. The condo faces the river, and you can see the birds and hear the waves crashing. The beach is right around the corner. I can't recommend this place enough. We will be back.

Disappointed

A cousins' trip to Pajaro Dunes is the highlight of each summer. This year was the first we found the accommodations to be lacking. This unit would really benefit from taking care of some overdue maintenance items (we had to have a sink and shower repaired), including black mold around faucet bases and very worn cookware and pillows. The unit smells musty, like it is not often used. It has layer after layer of decor everywhere -- so much so that we had to clear off tables to hold our things. The clutter made it not relaxing and restful like most of your units are. The unit has a nice location and layout, so we are hopeful that reviews like this one will help encourage some maintenance and updates to take place.

We had an overall great experience staying at this condo. We would definitely return. A few issues to address, but it did not affect our stay. For your information: Gas tank for grill was empty. Light in bathroom off master bedroom was out. Toaster only toasts one side. One blind does not go up and down. Check in process was a little confusing for us. A short explanation on this would help. Ex. Park by gate and walk through to office to check in. Office is not clearly marked and this was our first time here.

Spacious, with spectacular sunrises! Steps from the beach; Adjacent to bird sanctuary; Quiet. Ideal for children's sand activities. First floor. No climbing stairs. Great for seniors, teens with their surf boards, romantic getaway, and families with young children. All ages flying kites.

They were so happy with the sand dollars they found and all the fun they had digging in the sand at the beach. The weather was good all week. Added bonus - my 25 y.o. daughter slept on your day bed and when she woke up in the mornings her back didn't hurt like it often does! Thanks again for the basket and for letting us stay in your beautiful condo.

Built as 3 br, then remodeled to 2 br to create more spacious living areas. Floor to ceiling windows look out across the sand to the pajaro river, and then southwest to the ocean. Steps to the beach. Hdtv & high speed internet. Truly a home away from home.
