We have stayed in Tuscany several times now, and this villa was absolutely the best! Private, 5 minutes to Montalcino, and. Very central to visiting all other nearby cities. The villa itself has a fantastic bedroom, kitchen, living layout, and the pool is spectacular! A special acknowledgment to Marianno ( the local caretaker) who is so kind and friendly, and so respectful of the guests. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in this area. We will definitely be returning!

Quintessential Tuscan experience with idyllic views. Villa is extremely well kept and convenient to tour Tuscany and it’s vineyards. A little challenging to locate on your first try, but we’ll worth the challenge. Hint: the turn to the villa is at the fire station

ein wunderschöner Ort um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Toller Ausblick von der Terrasse auf die Gegend. Traumhafte Sonnenuntergänge und das jeden Abend. Wir waren im engen Kontakt mit Sara, der Besitzerin, die uns mit allen wichtigen Informationen versorgt hat. Einfach die perfekte Gastgeberin. Mariano der Gärtner pflegt den Garten mit viel Liebe, das sieht man einfach.Sehr gut ausgestattete Küche mit jede Menge Geschirr, Besteck sowie alles was zum Kochen benötigt wird.Perfekt gepflegt, jeden Tag wird der Pool früh morgens von Mariano gereinigt.

Great position, close to Montalcino, busy road directly beneath and rather like Monte Carlo at times

We arrived at the house and we were really pleased with its setting. On a hillside with beautiful views overlooking the vale with its vineyards and far-reaching mountains beyond. The house itself is a lovely building, solid and on three levels. At the top are two en-suite bedrooms, below, the lounge area and another en-suite bedroom. On the lower level, a large area with doors opening onto a terrace and then the kitchen and laundry room, The garden is terraced and the views could be spectacular but for too many trees planted much too close to the house. The pool is also lovely with great views and olive trees but much too cold, even in early September, to swim. Our overall impression of the property is that it is tired and lacks comfortable areas to sit. I have no idea how 6-8 people could stay there - the only place in the house to seat 6 people is the kitchen table and outside, a very uncomfortable long table with benches either side. The mosquitoes were a real problem, seeming to live in the foliage and we were bitten mercilessly. We used the house as a base and for that, it was ideal as it is amongst some of Tuscany's finest hilltop towns and beautiful scenery. I think our biggest problem with the house was the lack of privacy. We rent houses in Europe twice a year for up to 4-5 weeks at a time and so we are quite discerning about what we like. We really value our privacy too and like a quiet, uninterrupted life in the countryside. With this house, in the whole two weeks we were there, we did not get a single day without someone coming to the house. The plumber twice, the pool men, and every day the man who looks after the property in the absence of the owner. He would turn up early in the morning and clean the pool and generally do stuff around the place. Sometimes he came twice a day. But our biggest problem with him was the lovely Spaniel which he owns and which is chained up 23 hours a day outside, only being let off when he was at the house. It would then bark incessantly for a good hour after he left and then at odd times throughout the day. I let it off the chain sometimes but it jumped up our car and scratched it all over the bodywork so in the end we asked them to take it away. It took 48 hours but eventually it went. The ladies who clean the house are lovely and do a good job. We had no internet but came to an arrangement with the owner, whereby we were reimbursed. We would not return but for some, it's probably perfect.

Das Ferienhaus ist bestens unterhalten, der Garten und die Umgebung sind sehr gepflegt. Wunderschönes Schwimmbad. Herr Mariano ist sehr hilfsbereit und es klappt alles bestens. Wir hätten uns am Schwimmbad 6 Liegestühle gewünscht, es hat leider nur 5. Zudem wäre ein grösserer Tisch mit Stühlen beim Niveau der Küche wünschenswert und vielleicht noch ein Tischchen beim Schwimmbad. Der Backofen ist leider nicht genau einstellbar. Alles in allem, ein wunderbares Haus und ein Aufenthalt, der sehr zu empfehlen ist.

The views of Montalcino and the Val D'orcia from the Villa and from the Pool Deck are unbelievable! This Villa is all about the views...from every window in the place! All of the amenities are adequate. There is NO air conditioning but we found the fans supplied along with leaving the bedroom windows open at night (very few bugs!) made it tolerable. We would stay here again and would recommend it highly to anyone else!

Outstanding views!!

The three bedroom villa was perfect for accommodating our party of seven. It was located only 2 KM from the city of Montalcino which had great restaurants and shops. We discovered some of the best wineries just a short distance from the villa. A true authentic Tuscany experience.

Wine Tasting in Montalcino - Perfect Villa

We recently returned from a 12 day Italian vacation that included a stay in Montalcino at this Villa. It was perfect for 3 couples and an ideal location for some serious Brunello and Rosso tastings in the area. The view from the Villa could not be more spectacular and each bedroom has its own private bathroom. The living room and downstairs are huge! We had amazing weather and enjoyed the outdoor areas for dining and wine. Sara was great to work with and provided us all the information we needed. Montalcino is a great town and I highly recommend dining at Re Di Macchia. Solaria is the closest winery and was amazing.!! We will definitely return in the future and hope to stay here again.

We recently returned from a 12 day Italian vacation that included a stay at this Villa in Montalcino. The Villa was perfect for 3 couples and the views are spectacular. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom and the living room and downstairs area are huge. The grounds around the Villa were very well manicured and we had fantastic weather and enjoyed the outdoors eating area(s) for appetizers and wine each night. Montalcino was a great town and the Villa is ideally located for wine tasting and visiting neighboring towns. Sara was excellent to work with and answered all of our questions before and during the trip. My only recommendation is better and more detailed directions coming from the South on the A1. The directions we were provided were most definitely not the most direct or quickest way.
