Great location!

Beautifully appointed apartment overlooking the harbor. Frederico had refreshments and snacks waiting, he also carried luggage up the 125 steps like a marathon runner. The steps were a great opportunity to work off any over indulgances. We had a wonderful time here. He even met us on our last day to take luggage down and ordered a taxi. Awesome host and apartment!

Beautiful Views

Stayed in Salerno for a few nights to get a little taste of the Amalfi coast area. The location was bit a far from the Salerno train station, it is walkable, but might be easier to hail a taxi. The property is located on the top floor and the views are sooo absolutely beautiful! The home has been renovated, it was clean, modern, and the beds were comfortable. I wish I had stayed here longer. The check in was easy, and the property manager was a super nice gentleman. I would love to stay here again. Salud!

Cute Apartment in Salerno

This place was very cute inside and located just a short distance from the boardwalk area. Please note you must climb FIVE flights of stairs (full flights... its a LOT of stairs) to reach the apartment... Did I mention you have to walk up a LOT of stairs?!?! I liked everything about this place but that part and if you have any mobility issues whatsoever... this is not the rental for you!! It was a drag having to climb so many steps with our luggage, but even after a day of traveling around with nothing more than backpacks, it was a challenge!! I probably would not return just because the amount of steps you must climb but there were great views from all the windows!! I also thought there was a balcony area where you could sit outside and see the ocean but it was "closed for construction" while we were there, so we did not have any access.

The views from the windows are fantastic and the apartment has lovely updated decor and amenities as well as historical character in the rafters. I liked the way it was a great hub for day trips as well. There are train and bus link tickets via Trenitalia to Pompeii. I was 5 minutes from the ferry dock that brought me to kayaking on Capri and the chairlift from Anacapri. The same ferry stops at Amalfi and Positano. Plus Salerno has a nice sandy beach. Thank you for being flexible with me and allowing a bag drop before check in. I was so travel weary when I arrived. I could tell consideration was employed in leaving tasty treats and making sure I could have American coffee if that is what I wanted. Thank you! I really enjoy Summer In Italy newsletter and sense of humor. Thank you for honoring my pre-COVID voucher. Thank you for the opportunities you are providing.

Perfection!

By far the most perfect place I've stayed in during all of my travels. Parking was easy, a short walk from the flat (10 minutes) and the views were inspiring! Ms. Rosalba was a delight and Federico was so quick to respond to my inquiries. Such a perfect stay! I'll be back and next time I'll stay longer! I was sad to leave! Thank you Federico and Rosalba!

Great location: close to the old town, but just far enough away that things quieted down in late evening so you could sleep. Mr. Federico [the owner] was super helpful (our train arrived 2+ hours late, almost midnight) and he met us with a smile and was very helpful. Summer In Italy staff was very responsive and helpful.

Well situated to the train and port. Lovely neighborhood! Great views of the water! The apartment is very well appointed, Federico has thought of everything! The interior is gorgeous and comfortable. Bed is perfectly firm! Kitchen counter space is a tad small but absolutely doable for making a small meal. You won’t be disappointed with this apartment (and I’m fairly picky!)

Suite Hermes is a wonderful apartment, beautifully prepared, perfect for a couple. It has a great location, part of the old part of the city... Tourist sites, stores, restaurants, ferry terminal all very close. The owner, Federico, was extremely helpful. Offered many suggestions on what to do, where to go, restaurants to eat at. He also acted as our luggage porter! Given the 125 steps from the street to the apartment, we could not have done it without his help... It was greatly appreciated, many thanks!! We would recommend this property without reservation.

After spending the day waiting in lines and being crowded onto buses and ferries, returning Salerno was a welcomed relief. We traveled at the end of April to early May and did not see many tourists here. As for the Suite Hermes, they were very accommodating to our requests. It is a 25 minutes walk from the Salerno train station, but you have the opportunity to walk next to the sea or along one of the two central streets. Note: Just a reminder to take your trash out daily as we had a few unexpected visitors (ants).

Suite Hermes was great

Suite Hermes was great! Beautiful studio apartment with many stores and restaurants nearby. It was great staying there, a 25 minute walk to the train station and a 5 minute walk to the ferry dock. Salerno is a great place to stay while visiting the Amalfi Coast, Capri and Pompeii! Federico was a great host, he made sure our stay was pleasant. Summer In Italy was great to work with. Before arrival I had confidence that Suite Hermes would be as advertised and it was. They were helpful contacting the host before arrival to insure meetup went smoothly.

Suite Hermes offers an exceptionally high standard of accommodation and is extremely spacious, well-appointed and meticulously clean. Federico, the owner, was waiting to greet us upon arrival and explained some of the nearby attractions and left his contact details in case we needed any assistance with anything. The standard of Hermes Suites exceeded already high expectations. Upon arrival, it was easy to find a parking bay nearby and payment could be made by phone at a cost of 1 Euro per hour. The hourly charge could be stopped at anytime and reinstated later. No charge on Sundays. Beyond the control of Federico, it was difficult to find a parking space upon return at midnight, but we persevered. The service from Summer In Italy was incredible. This was only a two night booking but they provided comprehensive information and accurate directions. Very quick to respond to questions. We have no hesitation in recommending this very professional company.
