A really super place right on a little used sandy beach. Perfection!
The house is modern and a new build - lost at the far end of the drive through the Vardiola Residences - so no traffic noise, passers-by or road hazard. Comfortable bedrooms with ensuite/adjacent shower/baths and fully air-con. Upstairs - a twin with a generous balcony on which you can sunbathe and take a shower with a view. The style is stripped, rustic and bare with natural wood features inside and a delightful, vine and natural wood branch covered veranda. The garden has an outside shower under an oak tree to take off salt and sand. The oak tree comes with its own woodpecker, frogs and wild tortoises! Access to the beach is immediate and private. We had a cracking time: 3 weeks of great barbecues on the veranda; snorkelling in the bay with many fish, eels and even an octopus right in front of the house (remember to take bread with you to feed them!); 45 minute drive to Ospedale and 1.15 hour to Bavella for hiking and canyoning; 25 minutes up to Tagliu Rossu to swim in the river pools. Pinarellu is 15 mins by walk along the beach (or car - the road runs a long way inland). The airport at Figari is one hour away. The owners could not have been more helpful or friendly - a cleaner and handyman on call to resolve any problem real time (we managed to trip a few fuses, blow the internet subscription, lock ourselves out etc): if you've been to Corsica and have endured the usual indifferent / shoddy local service, you will appreciate what a rarity that is. A fantastic place for family & friends holiday. My only regret in giving such a good review is that it will be harder to book next year. We almost cried as we drove away...
