Family Lake Vacation

We had a great time at this home in Stoughton. The deck was out favorite place to be and the view of the lake was incredible and there was plenty of space for us. The rooms are all well appointed and the location was great!

So Beautiful!

This is a lovely home and property. We stayed 10/11 - 10/18/22 and experienced typical Fall weather...rain, hail, snow flurries and wind. The day of the wedding was lovely. Our family so enjoyed this property. Plenty of room to gather or find a spot to get away. The lake view was so calming! Thank you David & Denise.

Beautiful Lake Kegonsa Lake House

Great Family Get Together On The Lake

This is a very nice lakefront property on Kegonsa. The kitchen was well-stocked, there were plenty of large beds for everyone, multiple nice bathrooms, and the back deck gives a great view of the lake. All properties on the lake are packed in very close together and this property is no exception. You are right on top of your neighbors. The lake was not in great shape near the shore during our stay (algae and weeds) but this has nothing to do with the property owners and is to be expected in the hot Wisconsin summer on lakes near farmland. Checking in and out was easy, any questions I had were immediately answered, and I would recommend this place to others.

Lovely lake house with amazing kitchen

We stayed here for our daughters graduation from Univ of Wiaconsin Madison. There were 6 adults occupying 4 bedrooms. The house had a great open space upstairs to hang out and visit with a wonderful view . The kitchen is VERY well stocked . Just about any gadget or appliance you could want. We made dinner 2 nights. There is only one bathroom downstairs and it is en-suite so the people in the other downstairs bedroom had to come upstairs to use the bathroom in the night which was not ideal . Other than that the property is amazing and we all decided we need to come back. The town of stoughton is also adorable. Dave is an excellent host and gives you very detailed instructions and recommendations . He was available when we had questions. I wish all properties and hosts were this good!

Extravagant!!!

If there is a 10 starsbor 100 stars I won't hesitate to give it to this property!!! Amazing place,the property is located by the bay,quiet and nice view (looking and walking lakenof ice). The property itself has a very cozy bed and spacious rooms! Kitchen stuffs are pretty much complete,that tou don't need to bring anything,just you and your family and friends and ofcourse food and drinks to enjoy with them.. The owner (Sir David was so accomodating from the booking time to checkout) Given us consideration of checking in 3 hours before the check-in time!That we didnt expect though and we appreciate it a lot since we have infant with us. Amazing stay!!! I strongly recommend this amazing and extravagant property.

Great view

Overall very good. Owner was very helpful and available, property was spotless and had best equipped kitchen I have ever had at a rental property. The lake view was great. Only drawback when we were there was construction noise from half a block down, but they were almost finished with the heavy equipment when our trip was over

Family at Lake Kegonsa

Had a great time. The algae came in the last day but kids were able to swim, kayak, paddle board, and fish for 2 of the 3 days. House had everything we needed.

Easy family getaway

We traveled from nearby to relax and spend time on the water, and this house had everything we needed. The footprint isn't huge, but the house is very well laid out. It has five bedrooms, without any of them feeling cramped. The living room with sliding doors onto the deck provided nice breezes and views of the lake. The basement, with two bedrooms and a pool table, was the perfect kid zone. And the kitchen is very well appointed, with a high-end stovetop, two ovens, a nice gas grill right outside, and any utensil/pan/small appliance you could need. Check-in was easy with a key pad, and the host was easily accessibly via text for any questions. We spent most of our time outside by the water. There are chairs for everyone, and a nice dock we used for laying out, watching sunrise, and launching our paddle boards. The only two drawbacks -- neither of which have anything to do with the owner or the actual house -- were (1) the house is on a frontage road to hwy 51, and there was a construction project across the street, so daytime was a little noisy; (2) the DNR isn't mowing weeds in the lake this year, and these lakes are a little overgrown to begin with, so water quality was not great; depending on which way the wind was blowing, the algae would start to mat up around the dock. We were able to swim, but we had to paddle out a bit first. Overall, small distractions; we would definitely recommend this house for groups, larger families, and/or those like us needing to stick kids and their friends into separate bedrooms during a pandemic.

Great house

We used the house for a three generation Thanksgiving. There is plenty of space. Good electronics. A nice pool table and great lake views (it was November, so we didn't swim or boat). The kitchen is big and very well stocked. The owner communicated very well. No complaints.

Great Lake House

Our family had a great stay at this lake house. This is the second time we have rented this house and we had even more fun on the lake this time. The house it setup great and has everything you need for a large family. Great boat dock that is great to fish off of and dock your boat. Kids can also swim off of doc. Great neighbors and a great lake!! Would highly recommend this rental and we made a lot of great memories. Thanks

Cottage Life- Great Spot

David's cottage was exactly what we hoped. There was plenty of space for 7 adults. Everything was there that we needed, toiletries, paper products, great pots and pans...everything. You could shop for anything you needed near by. One thing, that was out of David's control was the quality of the water. We felt if the water was unsafe for swimming, there should have been some way to warn people who are not locals. We had a great stay!

Terrific spot on the lake

House was exactly as advertised. Comfortably accomodated our crowd of 8 adults. And the owner, David, was especially helpful by communicating often so there were no issues with arrival or departure. We were there for a Badger game so the house location was perfect - short drive to Madison. Highly recommend.

GREAT house right on the lake

This house is beautiful inside. Very tastefully decorated and all of the beds are very comfortable. We had our family weekend celebration here. Two adult children with their little children and my husband and I. We all had a great time together. A nice pier to dock our boat with very easy access to the boat launches. All of the amenities of your home but you are on vacation! David is very easy to work with as well. He responds very quickly to questions which was very nice. A great find on VRBO!
