Nice getaway

This was a nice and relaxing place. Had everything we needed for the kitchen plenty of towels were available and the master bed was comfortable. Would stay again.

Great location, so so apartment

The apartment is in a great, quiet location. Unfortunately it has a bit of an "unloved" feel - cleaning was not really satisfactory and most of the interior looks like it hadn't been updated from the 70s.wifi completely unusable

Difficulties but overall worth it!

Nice place, quaint... awesome view! No cell service and NO land line available! Getting into property was extremely difficult, code didn't work and had to drive ten miles to get service/help. Once fixed...rest of stay was wonderful!

Solid, affordable option

Our family of 6 stayed for several days. The price was excellent. It was sufficiently spacious and clean. The beach at Oceanside was easy to access and beautiful, although it's an easier drive from the condo than a walk because it is fairly steep getting back. The only negatives were the very steep driveway that took some maneuvering to park our minivan, the multiple flights of stairs to the unit, and the lack of grocery and restaurant options nearby.

Great littles seaside town

Great location on top of hill with good views of ocean! Clean and had lots of towels and sheets. Lots of steps, but that was fine for us. The only negatives were: no laundry, no curtain in living room. Dishes were lacking.

Lovely home for a relaxing stay!

This house is wonderful. Both decks provide lovely views and perfect places for morning coffee evening wine. The hot tub was relaxing. Everything was great. I will say there are three flights of steps going up to your accommodation and one flight of steps from the bedroom. (Lower level) up to the kitchen/dining room. If you have mobility issues that makes steps difficult you might want to contact the owner and discuss if this is the right place for you. Otherwise it was wonderful and I’ll definitely be back.

A great gem

This is one of those gems you almost hate to give such a great review since it will always be booked, but it truly was wonderful. It’s not fancy. It’s cozy, meets your needs, and the hot tub was our favorite. There are sleeping areas that 3 couples could utilize. Two great full bathrooms, one on each floor. There’s a dvd player as well. Yes there are a lot of steps, but it wasn’t that bad. We felt safe, warm and really felt peaceful. The furniture was comfortable and not there usual corral rental furniture. The parking is a concern, and I’m not sure more than one car can be parked there for to the large truck and boat stored there. You will have to back out of the long driveway.

Definitely dont rent if you cant do all the stairs. One of the beds was uncomfortable so went to check the fold out and there was blood on that. The hottub had a bunch of sand and dirt in it. They thankfully didn't charge us for it.

This property is a little hard to find as the address is on Hillcrest but the house is so far back that Google Maps will send you to Alder Street. Clearer instructions regarding traveling to the house would help.

Great little place to stay beside the cleanliness, for a property listing with a no pet policy there was hair all over it looked like the "clearners" came in changed the bed sheets and put out new towels and left. The power to the hot tub was off when we arrived and it was 55 degrees, took a day for it to get to temp, very disappointing for a couple little girl that were very excited. Kitchen counters had crumbs and onion peels on them, Kitchen floors had sticky spots from spills. With a good cleaning this would be an Awesome place.

Sitka stinks

The place was nice, but we couldn't stand the noxious pesticide smell seeping up from the second floor, like strong moth balls, so we vacated the premises. Too bad. It would have been fine if it weren't for that.

Lovely getaway! Must be prepared for STAIRS

We had a lovely stay at this property. Finding the location itself was a bit tough, as cell service (and GPS) is very limited in the area. We would recommend a photo be uploaded of a map indicating where the property is located off of the main road, as well as a photo of the property from the driveway. Once we found the property, check in was a breeze. There are several flights of stairs - so this is NOT a property for anyone with mobility issues. Remember to pack light!!! The inside of the unit is amazing. There was a dvd player for our use, a clean kitchen and dishwasher, two beautiful porches with a dreamy hot tub. We started and ended each day with a dip in the tub and it was exactly what we were after! It’s about a 3 min drive to the beach. I would 10/10 recommend this property, as long as you are okay with stairs!!!

Great weekend getaway!

My 13yo daughter and I came for a 'mom and me' weekend to celebrate her birthday. We were prepared for the stairs based on description and photos and honestly, we had a lovely time. Sat in the hottub enjoying the ocean view and saw paragliders overhead! Perfect for us (2) - would not have been as comfortable sharing with another couple (as an example) since the front bed room isn't really a bedroom. Apple TV with all the streaming services was great and very easy to use. There were cobwebs in some corners; the sink in bathroom on the "sleeping" level drained very slowly; the inside of the hot tub cover needs to be cleaned more frequently; the oven thought the door was "locked" for the self-cleaning mode and thus would not heat up for us at all. None of these were deal breakers for us but could stand attention!

There was trash in the bathroom waste basket when we arrived. Everything else was clean. Overall the place is old and dated. The blankets and comforters are quite old and used - they should be replaced. There was no coffee. Cable did not work due to some account password problem but WIFi was good so we cast some shows to the AppleTV. The hot tub runs randomly at night and shakes the whole place. Wasn't really worth the price. Don't follow Google maps to get here as the house is so so close to the street behind it that you will end up there. Some detailed instructions regarding getting there would have been helpful.

Beware of Stairs

When booking this place, there was not a description that there are 2 flights of stairs before getting into the condo and one flight of stairs in the place. My partner and I traveled with our 3 month old. Babies and kids come with a lot of stuff, not ideal for small children. The hot tub was nice, but didn’t look like it had been cleaned in a while. The location was also difficult to find and the directions on the vacasa app were not great. Positives: quiet, did have a kitchen (though the kitchen and living room are upstairs and bedrooms are on the lower floor, seems backwards), beds were semi-comfy (though the beds are labeled queen and they definitely felt more on the full sized). The view is mostly trees with a hint of the ocean.

Don’t go

Horrible! It wasn’t clean so I had to spend my vacation cleaning. The downstairs drain was blocked. There was dog hair and dander under the beds and under the couch. It says pet free. It’s not!! We have very bad pet allergies but again nothing was addressed further than sorry. They said they’d fix the sink, yet no one came for the entire stay - 5 days! Horrible customer service after the fact. I was told I couldn’t speak to anyone else at Vacasa and wouldnt get a call back from management. My last stay with Vacasa. What a terrible company! In 25 years of dealing with costumer service, I’ve never been spoken to that way.
