A wonderful stay

OMG!

This property is the ultimate holiday house especially if you are traveling with children and teenagers. It was just perfect for us in everyday. Everyone had their own space, the bedrooms, beautifully decorated and comfortable were very specious as well as their bathrooms. The play room was great for our children to hang around in the evening and mornings. But our favourite place was the kitchen leading to the patio which was a delight to cook in, so much so that my husband started to cook again! The dining table was large enough to accommodate our large family and the fact that we could open fully the French windows was really a plus as it felt like we were eating outside! Being so close to the beach meant that we did not use the car very often, but that everyone could do whatever they wanted. The beach was really nice and not crowed. There was a pop up cafe along the beach which was really nice to go to after a day on the beach. The area was really nice and quiet, with lots of local little shops and cafe and a really good pizzeria! Folkestone is only 5 min by car and is a really nice town to walk around and do some shopping. We did not explore much as we really made the most of the house and the sea. My favourite space will stay the master bedroom with full view of the sea and large balcony. Sally has been a great host, sending us all the information about the property and the area which was very useful. Thank you very much for this amazing place!

Beautiful beach house!

We had a wonderful time at the fabulous house! Sally was a great host and made the process of checking in very easy. The lovely house was spotless and gorgeous. All the facilities exceeded our expectations and it was very homely as well as quite glamorous. My grandson was very happy to run to the beach multiple times each day. Many thanks Sally!

Gorgeous and breathtaking...

Dieser Ort ist magisch! Wir sind überwältigt und begeistert... Die Musgraves haben viel Liebe in dieses Haus gesteckt und beweisen Wert auf Details. Angefangen von der wunderbaren hochwertigen Bettwäsche, über das durchdachte Lichtkonzept bis hin zu der unglaublich umfassenden Ausstattung. Geschirrtücher, Duschgel, gutes Kopfkissen... hätte wir alles Zuhause lassen können, denn diesem Haus fehlt es an nichts. Die Lage mit der Hauptstraße direkt vor dem Haus und dem Meer direkt hinter dem Haus ist atemberaubend. Ja, die Straße ist in den vorderen Zimmern gut zu hören, so dass die Kinder auch früh davon geweckt wurden - aber dafür ist man auch in zwei Minuten zu Fuß beim "Tante Emma Laden", Cafés und der Garage. Halb auf dem Gehweg stehend, darf man zum Aus- und Einladen vor dem Haus anhalten. Mit dem Schnellzug ist man vom Bahnhof Folkstone West innerhalb von 54 Minuten am Bahnhof St. Pancras/ King's Cross in London. Der Kontakt zu Sally und der Housekeeperin waren sehr gut. Das Ein- und Auschecken über den Schlüsselsafe sehr komfortabel. Just gorgeous and breathtaking! Danke für unvergessliche, wunderschöne Erinnerungen!

Family get together

A wonderful house by the sea, with character, charm and beautifully appointed throughout. It’s location right by the sea was perfect for a chilly dip and then straight back for a hot shower and restorative cuppa.

A dream holiday home

Our holiday home in Sandgate exceeded expectations. It is decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Everywhere you look you see beautiful objects and original artworks. And the views …. we all adored watching the sea in all its moods, from stormy waves to peaceful ripples. We loved using the local buses (if you’re the right age group freedom passes can be used!). The walk along the front into Folkestone is marvellously bracing. We took a trip down memory lane and rode the Hythe and Dymchurch railway to Dungeness. So much to do and so many places to visit (and eat in). You tell we loved our stay there. Thank you.

Amazing Family Holiday

It was an absolutely stunning and marvelous experience. Everything is as it was described and beyond. Location and surrounding breathless. Folkestone and Dover nearby for all your needs. We all - family group of eight - felt welcome and enjoyed our stay. If you have the chance to book the property... Do it!

Fantastic property

An amazing house with fantastic views and every need catered for. Every bedroom is large and the two on the sea side have fantastic views. The quality of the fixtures and fittings are first class. We loved our week away and would definitely return.

A Blast By the Sea!

This is a beautiful property, really cared for and stunning outlooks to the sea. Everything is of such quality and it was truly a pleasure to stay there. We had a blast - both in terms of having fun and with the wind off the coast (it's February - we went for a bracing time!). We really loved it and will hopefully return!

The Beach House

Really enjoyed our stay at The Beach House, the property had plenty of space and was well equipped. The location was great and we enjoyed exploring Sandgate and walking to Folkestone. Sally was very helpful, couldn't have asked for anything more.

Week away with the family

We had a fantastic half term week away hosting our family here at Sandgate. The location is amazing as is the house, so much so that we barely left it or the village!

Fantastic location on the beach

Perfect place - full of character but sympathetically modernised, and a bathroom for everyone. Just right for 4 females! Good for exploring other towns. Rye was particularly lovely. Guests should be aware that two bedrooms overlook the High Street which is busy during the day but very quiet at night in October when we visited. I would imagine it's not that different at any time of year.

Our super family getaway to the Beach House at Sandgate

The house is situated adjacent to the beach on one side and on the High Street on the other. The house overlooks the beach with wonderful views of the sea and has easy and safe access to both Hythe and Folkestone. The house itself is exceptional and has wonderful facilities throughout. The four bedrooms were all roomy and each had a first class bathroom adjoining. The kitchen area is superbly equipped - all to the highest standard and the living room and dining area were both of excellent quality. All and two of the bedrooms afford a fabulous view of the beach and sea. The rooms below were a bonus, housing a games room which kept both children and adults happily occupied during any inclement weather and the evenings, and bikes to be used on the coastal path outside. We had a wonderful time and could not have asked for anything more and would love to come back on another occasion. Thank you 😊
