When we were looking for a property, being close to Disney was a huge bonus, but not the only thing. We wanted privacy as well. You will notice that when you are swimming, none of the neighbors can see you. We also love relaxing outside. Our covered lanai give ample shade, and our real estate agent told us that our pool deck is the largest in Emerald Island. Even when the resort is full, you feel like you are in your own little resort when you open the back door and sit by the pool. We also wanted a place that 'felt' like home--but had the pizazz of Disney. You will agree that the soft colors, the paintings, furniture and rugs all give our home the feel of a 'home' not of an institution or even a museum. In order to get the pizazz, we asked our kids how they would like their rooms decorated. Their input helped us as we chose to decorate the twin rooms in our Harry Potter, Cars, and Frozen themes. Denise and I love Paris, so we made our room, the downstairs king, have a Paris Theme. We also love the beach, so we made one of the upstairs rooms with a beach theme. Our six boys wanted the Star Wars that you see in the game room. Remember, it is our house. :) Our central location also makes it an easy and fun drive to the beach. If you want waves, head east one hour for Cocoa Beach. If your children are younger and you want calmer waters with a family beach, head west to Clearwater, about an hour and a half away.
