Brilliant apartment

Beautiful, large 3 bedroom apartment, comfortable andnicely furnished. Fully equipped, dishwasher, washing machine but no iron. Wonderful views over the bay. El Modano is a great place to stay. It is still very Spanish with a great beach and fantastic restaurants. It is well affordable. Couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Prima onderhouden & proper appartement met een prachtig zicht op zee! Enkele kleine mankementen: deurkruk stuk, te kleine douchekamer... Een prachtig terras. Wel zeer goede ontvangst en hulp!!! Op zich een aanrader.

Top Lage

Nach einem sehr persönlichem und freundlichen Kontakt mit Gaeton habe ich die Wohnung für unsere 5 köpfige Familie gebucht. Wir wurden herzlich von María empfangen.Tiefgarage-top,Die komplette Außenanlagen sehr sauber und schön bepflanzt.Die Wohnung hat unsere Erwartungen bei weitem übertroffen.Die Aussicht aus den Zimmern ist nicht nur wunderschön,sondern auch äußerst praktisch,weil man die größeren Kinder immer im Auge hat (springen von der Mole, Wellenreiten vor der Mole, schwimmen im Pool),während die kleinen ein Mittagsschläfchen halten.Die Betten sind mit sehr komfortablen Matratzen ausgestattet.Der Balkon groß genug um draußen in der Abendsonne zu essen.Das war so ein schönes Plätzchen,dass wir in 14 Tagen nur 3x Essen gegangen sind.Die Wohnung liegt nicht nur für Wassersportler perfekt.Wenn man morgens vor 8:00h Laufen geht,hat man die Promenade und den festen Sandstrand weitestgehend für sich.In der Ortsmitte liegt ein Spielplatz mit einer Trimm-Dich-Station für Erwachsene. Ich habe noch keinen so schönen und unkomplizierten Urlaub verlebt.Wir fühlten uns auch mit den 3Kindern überall sehr willkommen! Vielen Dank für dieses Urlaubserlebnis!

El apartamento tiene unas dimensiones considerables., y está amueblado con mucho gusto y funcionalidad.Éramos 7, 3 familias y nunca nos sentimos apretados. Las vistas son sencillamente espectaculares. La ubicación, muy buena, a 300 m de Playa Grande , pero sin ninguna afección por ruidos. María nos atendió muy bien , ayudándonos en todo. Unas vacaciones excelentes. Gracias Gaetan

The location - superb The apartment itself - OK , but the tripping of the electrics, one sink basin only, the lack of cleaning staff attendance, no broom to sweep the floors with, no iron , no TV were all disappointments. The situation with the electrics resulted in us not being able to cook for ourselves as often as we would have liked The customer service (when we could not access the accommodation), was frankly absolutely DREADFUL. The resort - fabulous and I would recommend to anyone to visit this wonderful coastal town. I will (probably) use Home Away again , as I like the concept, but I have to say that this experience has left us very disappointed. If it wasn't such a nice resort, then I would never consider using you again The swimming pool was ridiculously cold.

Wonderful Apartment 5* Excellent communication with host. Will definitely be returning to stay here.

This apartment is perfect. Having been recently renovated it is clean, comfortable and modern. The bedrooms are a fantastic size. All the beds are new and extremely comfortable. Bedroom 1 has a kingsize bed with a sea view, a hanging rail with coathangers. Bedroom 2 has bunk beds. A double bed at the top and two singles which can easily be separated at the bottom. Again a sea view and wardrobes with hangers. Bedroom 3 had the most amazing bed, kingsize and comfortable. This room is huge, there are wardrobes with hangers.. The patio doors run the length of one wall with the most amazing views over El Medano. This leads onto the balcony which wraps around to the lounge area. Lounge/dining again a massive area. No television which was a blessing. Wireless speakers to connect to with Bluetooth, massive table and chairs. Bathroom one, A shower room and toilet. Fabulous shower, very small room but does the job perfectly. Bathroom two, bath with shower over, washing machine also. Kitchen, this is the first apartment I have ever stayed in which had everything you need in it. Glasses that are big enough to hold a drink in, plates, cups, bowls, pots and pans. Microwave, fridge freezer, coffee maker and everything else you may need. A few items knocking about in the cupboards for you to use like tea and coffee. I always leave such items for the next visitors as this is so helpful for when you arrive. Plenty of extra bedding and towels if you should need it, which makes a huge difference in what you need to take with you on holiday. The Wifi was good, powerful and didn't dropout. There is a shed/storage area outside the apartment by the lift where the chairs and outdoor items are stored. You have to take your chairs up and down to the pool each time and bring them back with you which can be annoying but easily done. I would perhaps suggest some lighter chairs to make this easier but that really is just a suggestion and would make no difference to anyones stay. I appreciate that this is a residential building and not a holiday let building and the residents don't want sunbed wars. The pool is lovely, a saltwater pool and a great size. The pool and area are super clean and well kept, as is the whole apartment block. The staff are lovely and helpful. This end of El Medano (red square) is lovely, close to the supermarkets, a 3-minute walk if that into the centre. Tip - the plugs take the UK adaptors with the thinner prongs, not the thick ones. ENJOY!

Tolle, helle, moderne Wohnung mit perfektem Blick

Diese sehr schöne Wohnung im 5.OG hat einen einzigartigen Rundumblick auf das Meer. Ich habe noch nie eine Wohnung gesehen, in der man von allen Zimmern aus Meerblick hat: von allen 3 SZ, WZ und sogar von der Küche! Einfach umwerfend! Vom Balkon lassen sich wunderbar die Surfer und Kiter beobachten, wie sie selbst bei WIndstärke 6 meterhoch durch die Luft wirbeln. Dadurch ist El Médano sehr jung, bunt und international - kein Vergleich mit den Bettenburgen der Südwestküste. Auch Wasser, Strände, Restaurants sind gut, es gibt Supermärkte (Dino und Lidl), so dass man im Ort alles hat, was man für einen schönen Urlaub braucht. Die Austattung der Wohnung ist bestens, uns hat nichts gefehlt. Es gibt sogar eine Garage, so dass man nicht für die Parkplatzsuche herumkurven muss. Einziges Manko ist der nahe Flughafen, immerhin mit Nachtruhe (zwischen ca. 20 Uhr und 7 Uhr). Besonders bei wenig Wind sind die Starts schon gut zu hören.

Underbar utsikt över havet. Maria och Jose som pratar engelska är hjälpsamma och snabba. Kök välutrustad. Bra sängar och fräscht. Handfat saknas i lilla badrummet. Mögellukt i stora badrummet.

Fantastic apartment in fantastic location

We had high expectations on this apartment, and we were not disappointed. Gaetans lovely apartment was even more than we expected, and we loved every second of our vacation here. The location of the apartment is excellent - close enough to El Médano center but still calm and with peaceful surroundings and almost no traffic. There are a lot of restaurants and cafés close to the apartment, and prices are cheap. Kids loved that they could easily go get take away for the nights we chose to eat in. The mojitos at Manfreds bar just beneath the apartment was amazing, as were the tapas on the tapasbar at the corner of the red square just a few steps away. All in all we had ate out a lot more than we had planned, as it was so cheap and delicious. El Médano itself is a jewel - we LOVE the relaxed atmosphere, the kind of people who travel here and the very non-touristy feel of it. It is a galaxy away from the noise and crowds of Playa the las Americas. It's a laid back, friendly, sporty and calm oasis. The apartment itself is a complete 5 star! Fresh, clean, wonderful, very well equipped, best beds we have ever tried in a Homeaway rental, lots of appliances in the kitchen, lots of glasses, plates, etc... It truly felt like a home. The balcony - on the 5th floor, facing the sea and the entire beach of El Médano, was the highlight of the apartment. We sat for hours and enjoyed the sun, watching the kitesurfers and the beach life. The sunsets are amazing from the balcony as well! Even though El Médano can be quite windy, the house is cleverly built in a way that makes the court yard and the pool an amazing haven of peace. No wind, and sun all day. The pool itself is not heated, and we were a bit skeptical before we arrived, could a non heated pool be warm enough? Yes, it can. It was warm and spacious, and usually we were alone by the pool, or just accompanied by a few others. We ended up taking kitelessons, trying out surfing and hiring wetsuits and surfboards for the kids as well. We highly recommend it! How come we never tried it before?! We have travelled a lot the last years, trying out different countries, locations and apartments. This is the first time ever we'll return many times - El Médano and this apartment are that good. Gaetan is extremely friendly, quick to respons and help, and Maria takes such a good care of every guest. Thank you for everything!

Perfection

Perfect location Beautiful apartment with everything and I do mean everything a family could need. Maria who holds the keys and looks after the apartment is so helpful even changing her cleaning day so we could stay a bit longer as we had a very late flight and a toddler to contend with. Gaeten is the most understanding host Will be booking again for next year. If you are looking for a little piece of heaven in El Medano this is it.

High standard apartment in an excellent location.

We stayed in this apartment in August 2017. We are a family of 7 and there was lots of space for us all to relax. The kids were kept happy with the wifi while we could relax on the balcony with a glass and watch the beautiful sunsets in the evening or the kite and windsurfing during the day. We had full confidence in Gaetan as he was in regular contact with us from booking and we were met by Maria on arrival who let us in and handed over to us. She was available throughout the holiday should we have needed her but this was not necessary. The apartment is of a high standard and is just as it looks in the pictures. You won't be disappointed! The pool is salt water and we used it daily for a cool down and a splash around with the children. The pool is maintained to a high standard by Juan who is very friendly and helped our littlest with some Spanish. The apartment is ideally located a short walk from the beach where you and access the available watersports or like me just enjoy watching :) There are lots of restaurants to try, we ate out a lot and never had a bad meal. You can book with confidence and Gaetan will advise you so you can have the best break possible. Thank You Gaetan. As you jump waves and your child tells you this is the best day of their life, you know you've done something right.
