Bad interaction with the owner

I was going to let bygones be bygones but the owner just gave us a bad review as guests so I feel I must put forward our side of the story. After we checked out of the apartment the owner tried to get us to pay a big cleaning bill. We felt she was being unreasonable. We did have a small dog in the apartment that a friend brought over for a couple hours not knowing that pets are not allowed in the apartment. As soon as we found out the dog was not allowed the dog was removed and never return to the premises. We felt the owner was unreasonable and tried to use this slight infraction to extort money from us. The apartment was only marginally clean and needed a deep cleaning before we arrived as her guests and she tried to bill us for this deep cleaning that was needed anyway. We have rented on VRBO many many times and are respectful renters who made an honest mistake.

I have lived here for over 15 years, & probably the best thing about living here is the central location everything is within 5 mins walk but yet it’s quiet here and the coast path is a walk I never tire of it, two walk along it are never the same it has something different every day, the only constant is the breathtaking beauty of the North Down coast
