My husband Phil and I fell in love with this beautiful area of the Charente after many holidays spent travelling through France. Less tourist plagued than the neighbouring and better known Dordogne, and with some of the best weather in France outside of the Cote d'Azur, we think it is the undiscovered gem of the country. It's dotted with chateaux and medieval castles, stunning rolling countryside filled with sunflowers, quaint little towns and villages and their quintessentially French morning markets - and so many fabulous restaurants and cafes within a short drive that you could eat out at a different one every day for a year and still not have visited them all. We finally made the move to France in 2014 and spent the first 2 years renovating our house and gite, opening Les Cimes des Arbres for holiday rental in 2017. Since then, we are proud to say that we have been fully booked every season and enjoyed 5 star ratings on Trip Advisor and other review sites. We very much look forward to welcoming you to Les Cimes des Arbres, and hope that you will love the gite and the beautiful countryside that surrounds it as much as we do.
