Our stay was okay, but the property did not fully match our expectations based on the listing and photos. We were aware that caretakers lived on the property, and they were genuinely kind, hospitable, and responsive. Carlos was very helpful whenever issues arose and clearly cared about making our stay comfortable. One of the biggest gaps between expectations and reality was the food experience. The listing indicated a private chef with food included and suggested meals could be customized. In practice, the cook offered only a few rotating options and was unable to prepare many requested items. There was no menu provided in advance, so meals felt limited to what was already available. This is not a criticism of the cook herself, who seemed to be doing her best, but rather reflects a mismatch between expectations set by the listing and the experience we had.On the positive side, the property was quiet and secluded, which we appreciated, and the pool was a highlight, especially for the kids. The dock was also very convenient for tour pickups. We did experience issues with the golf carts, which are essential for getting around the island. The four-person cart appeared to need maintenance, and during our stay a wheel bearing failed and the wheel came off the axle. While this was addressed promptly, it was concerning. Finally, the house felt tired and more worn than the photos suggested.
