I would consider this place a wonderful location for adults. The house is situated on a farm with many different machines around, and there's a pond in front of the cottage. The cottage is very cozy and clean, with one exception: the oven was so dirty that it was impossible to prepare any meals. Other than that, it was perfect for us, a great base for exploring Snowdonia.

Cosy cottage

We have stayed in a lot of holiday cottages in rural locations and this was the best for us. This is what we liked: Quiet and private with parking right outside the cottage Perfect location - very short walk to the pub or river Dee. Close to the 4x4 driving centre and 4 or 5 miles from Bala. Spotlessly clean with nice bedding on the beds The best woodburner we have used (with free logs and kindling) And last, but not least, friendly and helpful owners We will definitely stay again in the future

A lovely property situated within lovely countryside. Unfortunately though still awaiting refund of the £50 damage deposit. No reason for the delay.

Disaster Zone

Well found the location okay, just wish that my SatNav could have warned me to where my route ended. I went in through the two pillared gateway that was once the Lodge. progressing forward I was faced with could only be described as a graveyard for abounded vehicles, including 3 derelict caravans, a derelict small crane, two derelict motorhomes, proceeding on , to turn right "at the farm buildings on my right". Thanks be that I was not towing a caravan behind me, my car just managed to fit between two totally decrepid barns. going down this 20 metre route I had scrap cars, motorhomes and (supposed) lots of scrap metal, engines, and even more passed by their sell by dates motorhomes and carcusses of caravans. On a brighter note the Cottage scored a 2 out of ten. A 19 inch TV is not expected in this day and age. Based on this experience I will not be booking with vrbu in the future. It was expensive for the experience I had.

A nice cottage in a beautiful area

Een ruime cottage, geschikt voor 4 personen. Wij verbleven er met z'n tweeen, dus volop ruimte. Voorzien van alle gemakken, incl. wasmachine. Huiskamer en keuken op de begane grond, twee slaapkamers (waarvan 1 dubbelbed) en badkamer incl. douche en bad op de eerste verdieping. De cottage ligt naast het woonhuis van eigenaar Yan. De contacten hadden we met haar echtgenoot, dit verliep prima. Als we vragen hadden werd dit door hem opgelost/beantwoord. Een heerlijk verblijf !

lovely couple, cottage facing a duck pond

The industrial yards you have to drive through to get to the cottage was not expected but once at the cottage it is pretty. The ducks in the pond are lovely to stand at the lounge window and watch, the sheep and rabbits from the kitchen window. The heating was on 24/7 with a logburner in the lounge. The kitchen is well equipped. The tv in the lounge is a tad small but we pulled it forward. The double mattress was the hardest we have ever tried to sleep on (we have an orthopeadic so have a firm mattress at home) They were very attentive when we asked any questions. The pub (a few minutes walk) had great sunday dinners.

Ungewöhnliche Lage

Das Ferienhaus liegt an einer ungewöhnlichen Stelle auf einem ehemaligen Bauernhof. Es ist sauber und ordentlich. Als es kälter wurde, ging automatisch die Heizung an.

Cosy, clean and comfy cottage in peaceful surroundings. A warm friendly welcome from the hosts, then we were left to settle in. Fully equipped with everything you need for your stay. Looking forward to staying here again soon!

Fantastic cottage - weekend away!!

Four adults stayed to celebrate our special anniversaries - needed to be close to Bala as we were booked for white water raftin, which is just down the rosd. The cottage is well equipped and was spotlessly clean. Such a peaceful place - fresh cakes on arrival with warm and friendly smiles from Bernie + Yan. We would highly recommend and have already booked for next year! Thank you both so much!

Disappointing

The approach to the cottage was through derelict buildings with rubbish ,car with wheel missing old toilet ,wondered where we where going .The cottage was basic and needed lots doing to improve it . Very disappointed

Recently renovated cosy country cottage on farm, INCLUSIVE OF ELECTRIC and logs for log fire , DAILY RATES, INCLUDES BEDDING AND TOWELS, CLOSE TO MANY BEAUTIFUL WALKS, IDEAL FOR COUNTRY LOVERS , FISHING 1 MINUTE AWAY, SAILING / WIND SURFING CANOEING 10 MINUTES AWAY, mountain biking close by, only 1 hour from the famous zip line
