My husband and I had an amazing vacation. Everything posted on their site is true in words and pictures, and even better. Clean, very comfortable home with awsome views, and many places to choose to sit with your meal, coffee, or a glass of wine. The water is amazingly clear and cool. Swimming was perfect, and kayaking around the lake daily was breathtakingly peaceful. Loons, eagles, frogs, and fish you can see in the crystal clear waters. Deer with their fawns, and a dozen wild turkeys. Campfires every night with the sound of loons and peacocks in the distance. Amazing stargazing afterward on the dock. We had shooting stars that week. No big town near which makes stargazing so awsome. Though there is a great grocery store very near that has literally everything you would need. From organic options in grocery, to fishing equipment, clothing, etc. 2 restaurants nearby. We preferred the Pines Cafe, though Cozy Kitchen was good for breakfast and lunch. We drove to Glen Arbor, sleeping bear dunes, for a day, just one hour away. Riverside pizza and Art's Tavern are our favorite for food. Beaches of lake michigan are Beautiful. You would think it was the ocean. Our stay there was the best, most peaceful vacation since I was a kid. Only problem was absolutely no communication with any one from cabin. Their hot spot was down all week, but was a blessing in diguise. We enjoyed ourselves with no distractions. Loved it! We're not thrilled with the town of manistee.
