For the most part the house was clean and a good cabin getaway. There were some little issues like the lights around the fire place and bedrooms didn’t work, the place was pretty small and some of the areas could’ve been cleaned better. Overall I enjoyed the hot tube and cabin like feel but for the price it could’ve been better.

Place was nice. Owner responded when asked questions. Had an issue with the heat source in the living room but he was on top of it. Back door handle appears ready to fall off and the tub spout was ready to fall off as well. Overall a good spot

I don’t understand these reviews. In fairness, we stayed here once before and didn’t think it was so bad. Except for a leaking sink we reported (a year ago). This time we walked into the doorknob falling off, keycode was the same as last year, the intense damp smell hits as soon as we entered. That sink, a whole year later was never fixed. We were only staying the weekend so we figured we could manage. Each day we found more issues. The shower liner looked like it’s been used since 1908. There’s nothing to clean with if you do cook and while there are some condiments in the cabinets, they are all expired. The deck/hot tub area are covered in mildew. A yearly power washing would go a long way. The boards to the steps are loose.by the last full day of our stay, a short attempt to use the sink to wash a few dishes resulted in water pouring under the cabinets. There’s your damp smell. There was mold along the baseboards. There’s mold on the countertops (because they are butcher block that was never sealed so you can’t even wipe it down and it’s technically not supposed to get wet). Communication with the owners was fine, when we had a last minute dog sitter cancellation they let us add our girl on, no issue. But that’s where it ends. How do you not fix a leak for a whole year? My son begged to leave so we packed up at 1am and left instead of waiting for checkout. We all left with a cough and headaches. I can see deer at home in a much safer place. Yes, we informed of the owners!

Great little cabin!

Cabin was perfect for our needs for the week. The neighborhood is gated and was very quite with friendly deer coming right up to our campfire in the evening. Communication from host was amazing; they were so kind and helpful! Close to many Pocono attractions!

Rustic Cottage - Highly Recommend

Highly Recommended.The Rustic Cottage is located in a gated lake community. Easy access. The home was clean and tidy. There was music playing when we opened the door. That is a nice touch.

Weather wasn’t great but we made the best of it! Hot tub was nice. Not a far walk to the lake beach area and fishing entrance. The house is decorated cute and was clean and welcoming when we checked in. Fireplace on and music playing

Weekend away

This was a lovely spot for a couples getaway. We walked in to a beautiful, softly lit space with music playing. We had a great time in the area with good restaurants and beautiful scenery.

Would definitely book again! Cozy place with a clean private hot tub. Host was quick to respond and helpful. Love the gas fireplace.

Winter weekend

We had a great stay at this cozy cabin! My family of four stayed for a ski weekend. Plenty of restaurants nearby and a quick drive to Big Boulder. The hot tub was great after a long day of skiing!

Cute and cozy

Stayed here with my teenage son, boyfriend, and our dog. Just wanted a quiet weekend getaway. The house was clean which is the most important thing for me. Yes, as other reviews stated, the lighting was dim. I don’t know, that wasn’t really a deal breaker for me. It is small but it was sufficient for us. Hot tub was enjoyed by my boyfriend and son. Our first day we got heavy rains so we didn’t use the backyard or patio. The bathroom is a bit outdated but everything worked and the water was hot. The area is quiet and feels secluded but still close to many restaurants and Pocono activities. We will definitely stay again.

Great holiday stay

The home was small and cozy. We booked for Christmas to be close to Snowtubing. I loved the holiday music as we walked in. The fireplace helped keep the entire home warm throughout our stay. We loved seeing the deer walk through the yard and the proximity to the lake. The coffee machine needed cleaning but other than that no other issues. I would stay again.

Perfect Cozy Getaway

We absolutely loved our stay here! The house is adorable, super clean, and well decorated. Had everything we needed for a long weekend. Very close to all the major ski resorts, and feels very safe with a gated security check in. They were not kidding about the friendly deer! Fed a couple right out of my hands that came to visit around the fire pit. Hot tub worked perfectly as well and was so nice to have after days on the mountain. Would love to stay here again next year!

Weekend getaway

This place was just what we needed. Perfect size for my girlfriend and I, but would definitely be nice for a small family too. Stephen and Mimma were excellent to deal with. Everything was clean, cozy and as described. described Mimma had gotten me a cake, flowers and balloons for my girlfriend's birthday which were perfect. We absolutely loved the hot tub and fireplace and our stay there and would use again in the future
