Disappointing Unit

No wi-fi instructions. Floors dirty, especially near baseboards and in grout lines. Bathroom counter dirty, including grout lines. Dirty broom. Constant drip in bathtub faucet. No extra pillow cases. Front door did not feel secure. Many repairs to the unit were sloppy. Overall impression is needs a competent facelift. Noise from adjacent road so loud you couldn't enjoy patio.

Loved location but floors were dirty,needs maintenance

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved location ,but the floors were dirty,you couldn't walk on them without getting black all over the bottom of them,the TV was not working properly, the toilet needed maintenance it kept running all the time. It was hard to find a night ,needs some kind of lighting with buildings numbers

Weekend getaway

Being a first floor condo was nice. Not the cleanest I’ve stayed at in beach club. Great size for a couple. No blankets for foldout couch that we could find. Beds were comfortable. Of note: absolutely not the owners fault, but traffic noise from Whitecap is horrible if you are a light sleeper.

My Stay

Rating Details: The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Disappointed that there were not a lot of amenities compared to some other properties. Saw several bugs and killed a large roach. Mold in the corner of bathtub. Found long hair in sheets, floors were not real clean.

Weekend get away

Easy check in. Initial issue with door lock, but contacted property management and it was fixed timely. Easy walking distance to beach. Short 20-30 minute drive to Port A or Corpus. Room clean pool, workout area, and hot tub all clean and functioning properly. Totally will book again.

Beach Club Condos Whitecap Beach

It is a quiet property. The grounds were clean, but some exterior paint and some deferred maintenance should be addressed. The rental unit was in good condition. Would stay there again.

There are a few details in the kitchen and the bathroom that the management team should pay attention to. Other than those details - it was an okay place to stay for 2 people. Location near beach was very nice.

Is to put curtains up so guest would be able to sleep in and put a door where the washer and dryer are located for noise purposes. Update knives in kitchen.

Our vacay weekend

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Beach Retreat was very clean upon arrival. Kitchen was fully stocked with enough plates, glasses, pots and pans for cooking. I will return back to this beach club resort in the near future. The only thing I recommend for this resort is better parking areas for extra vehicles. The rental carts were parking in the non-reserved areas and no where else too park. Also, our dining area had a broken green chair (needs repairing.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed 2 months in Beach Retreat. Condo was adequate for our needs. Close to the beach. Nice enclosed pool. Pet friendly. A little concerned because there were no grab bars in the bath tub which was slippery. We put down rubber mat in tub which helped. On site HOA rep was not helpful. Told us she wasnt allowed to talk to guests when we had maintenance issue. HOA rep directed us to call the mgt company we rented from (who did help), but the staff doing the work around the complex all reported to the HOA rep who wouldnt talk about any issues. Not a professional way to handle paying guests.
