Spying neighbors

The property was old and a bit worn down. We had 2 families stay and a couple friends that were staying at Harrah’s. Unfortunately, nobody warned us about “Karen” that lives across the street. We had dinner with our friends around 4-5pm and they were going to leave right after BUT we received a phone call with a complaint from a neighbor that we cannot have more than 2 vehicles there. We understood that and they were going to leave after anyways but neighborhood Karen wasn’t having it. Anyways, one day we were turning out of the neighborhood to go to the beach, and we saw Karen driving in. She gave us some bad looks and was waving her hand around at us like we were there to ruin her neighborhood. My gosh, what a mean lady! We haven’t done anything loud or abnoxious at all. Mind you we were a group of nurses with our kids and family. Maybe there has been a problem with ppl partying there? But that’s not our problem, she doesn’t need to be rude to all the renters. Needless to say, will not be staying there anymore.

Overall good stay with a couple hiccups

Pro: - Very good layout and roomy, fitted two families of 4 very comfortably - Huge kitchen that is extremely well stocked - Pool table - Very nice outdoor propane powered BBQ grill - Lots of towels - Friendly staff in the management office (which is just a couple of small blocks over), even got a bottle of wine as a welcome gift - Responsive maintenance crew came out to help when keys wouldn't work Con: - Water heater can only handle 2 back to back baths before running out of hot water. Had to wait almost 2 hours for hot water to be available again and ended up boiling water on the stove in order to bathe kids. After lessons learned, had to remember to space out baths. - Front door lock was extremely difficult to open with the provided keys. Had to fiddle with it for over 20 minutes each time we lock or unlock the door (which can be a huge hassle when you have a car full of people waiting to get inside to use the bathroom). Maintenance finally came out to replaced the lock and gave us new keys. - A dresser in one of the bedrooms was damaged upon arrival where if you pull out the second drawer, the drawer above it falls down and hits your fingers. The surface was also chipping and peeling badly that it could cut your hand easily. Had to put a towel to cover it so kids don't touch it.

Great location for skiing

The place is updated and everything looks great. The kitchen is large and the 2 bathrooms are great. Centrally located close to a bunch of restaurants and stores. Both heavenly and sierra are within a 20 min drive. Knocking a point because the beds and bedding aren't very great. Super scratchy and not comfortable. Not the best when you want to have a nice night of sleep after skiing all day. Overall this place was good and suited me and my friends for the weekend.
