Our house, is a stunning traditional stone building and offers breathtaking panoramic views onto the Cevenole hills and onto the renowned Faugeres church which dates back to the 12th century.
La Charrrère itself was built in the 16th century; the tower, which now holds the gite’s living room area and one of the bedrooms, was originally an ancient “magnanerie”; a traditional silk farm that supplied silk to Lyon in the middle ages.
You will have access to a total surface area of 200m² for you to make the most of your relaxing stay.
You will have access to two large and comfortable double bedrooms, a smaller single room that is perfect for children and a beautiful bathroom featuring an italian style shower.
Our house also includes an original covered terrace, which the Ardechois traditionally call “couradou” where you can make the most of the striking views and is perfect for dining.
At the top of the house, you will find a terraced rooftop garden and outdoor living room, perfect for quiet moments of relaxation.
In front of the house, you will have access to a fresh herb and roseraie garden featuring a forged iron kiosk where you can sit and enjoy the silence, or have a peaceful “apéritif”.
You will also have access to a shaded courtyard where you can sit and read a book in front of the magnificient view, enjoy a barbecue or even snack on fresh cherries from the cherry tree.
