It is the quintessential Priest Lake cabin. For the most part, we really enjoyed our time, liked the deck and the places to hang out and also liked having the dock and the swimming area which we made good use of. Since I am very familiar with the lake (having vacationed here as a child) it did make me feel like I was revisiting old times and that, in the face of the 4 million dollar Microsoft funded mansions on the lake, it was far preferable to the exclusion of the folks who just like the lake and its beauty, as opposed to building a showpiece house for folks to either ogle at or stare at in dismay.
Not fancy but generally ok. I think that the pricing relative to the amenities of the cabin was a bit opportunistic but if it was my property, I would probably do a similar rate structure, with a few enhancements to ensure that my guests were comfortable. I didn't really have too many issues with the property but found that the number one item that the cabin lacked was airflow. It's billed as a place that has an AC but when we arrived we found that the AC circuit had been turned off and when we turned it on to test it, it really didn't work that well. So, since the breaker was off, I returned it to the off position and made do with attempts to have airflow. As I mentioned earlier, the airflow (or lack thereof) was really my only issue and it is something that could easily have been rectified by ensuring that a number of the windows that didn't open were operable. The simplest solution would be to have a screen fashioned for the small door that opens onto the deck on the far side of the cabin. When we opened up that door, the air went rushing through and cooled the cabin off pretty nicely. The only issue about doing that in the absence of a screen is that insects get in so that was only a short term solution, absent a screen. Other simple solutions would be a couple of ceiling fans in over the main room to move the air around.
I don't want this to seem all negative but the stagnant air and lack of airflow left a strong impression in my mind as well as the mind of my family/kids each evening as we drifted off to sleep. I thought I would point that out as for about 5K for a week, it's not really much to expect, especially since the AC unit didn't work too well. I think for sure we would consider this place again as we do understand that it was unseasonably warm (unless of course I am banned for being too unfiltered).
