the staff were lovely, the hut was cute and beautiful. the hut needed some dusting but other than that it was an incredible stay and i recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay for a couple days.

Comfortable and well-appointed. Perfect for one. Walking distance to Nelly Bay and the bus pick-up shelter is close by.Lovely to wake up to the sound of birds.

Totally enjoyed the pet friendly nature of the place. Th only issue is the gaps in the fencing in the yard could allow small dogs to get out. This was not an issue with us but just an observation for recommendations for future guests.Loved the quiet & wildlife around the area. The front deck was perfect for relaxing in the afternoon.

Serenity

This is the second time I have stayed in this exquisite space. This time it was with my dog. If ur looking for solitude and peace this is it. The creek was swimable and even waking to the drizzling rain was so relaxing. Is so much to do on the island that I won’t hesitate to visit again. The outdoor bath was so beautiful as well! 🙏

The Little Bush Shack

The Little Beach Shack is lovely.. set in natural and very private surroundings. My husband and I enjoyed the peace, seclusion and watching the wildlife from our terrace. The Shack itself is very comfortable and extremely well equipped. The bed is comfortable and the furniture is also relaxing. A full sized fridge is always a good thing and the cooking facilities are very good. The inclusion of two bikes is a good idea for some people and the choice of two outdoor sitting areas (front and back) lovely. We hope to be back.😊

Escapism

Fabulous stay at ‘The Little Bush Hut’ decided to book a little Mother/Daughter stay plus one very happy small dog. It was so peaceful and extremely private. Short walk to Nelly Harbour. It was extremely easy and very comfortable and relaxing. I would definitely go back sometime. It had all the comforts of home and the outside bath is perfect and can fit a tall person! The little deck out the front was perfect for a lovely glass of wine accompanied by some music from the small speaker provided. Or just the sounds of the many cockatoos is fabulous to listen to!! Loved the whole experience!

Perfect for this California hiking couple

Perfect in so many ways. The location was enchanting. Cockatoos, wallabies, bush stone curlews, parrots all viewed from the front deck while having morning coffee. The bikes were such a special convenience to explore around Nelly Bay and even Arcadia and Picnic Bay if you don’t mind the hills. The kitchen was great, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was so nice after a long hiking day. A hiking trail to Horseshoe Bay and Fort Junction starts right down the street from the house, and a bus stop is a 3 min walk. Great access to everything you want to do on the island including the market. We did all the hikes, saw 2 koalas on the Fort Walk, spent a day relaxing at Arthurs Bay and we still weren’t ready to go home. A real gem. Yes, some bugs to be expected, but we expected that.

Relaxing stay at Little Bush Hut

We had a a really great stay here, it was so peaceful in the trees near the creek, with the dawn chorus of birds to wake up to. The bush hut was a great place to come back to at the end of a day exploring and beaching. Well located for getting about and we used the bikes every day. Comfortable bed. We had the best 10 days holiday ever!

Absolutely Fabulous

The little bush hut is exactly that and we loved it . From a camp fire to soaking in the bath tub . It was a very relaxing atmosphere and easy walk to cafe for breakfast . Pet friendly , we loved the clips on the big logs , so we could secure them out the front while we all enjoyed the camp fire . Back yard fully fenced . Even thou you felt you were in the bush it was very convenient spot at Nelly Bay . Inside the bush hut everything worked well and it all was very cute Our only problem is that we wished we had booked it for another few days .

We loved staying here it was perfect for us. We were able to take our little dog also which was perfect for us. We loved the layout and how cute and compact it was. This is perfect for a couple who are looking for a relaxing place to stay for a couple of nights and get away from the busy life we seem to lead these days. The lady at the place we collected the keys from was lovely and very helpful. The only thing I think they could do is put a sign out the front as we drove past it a couple of times. Other than that would recommend this place highly.

Disappointed & NOT value for money

It certainly was EACTLY as it was named - a VERY little hut in the bush! Disappointed because all photos on the internet showed the rooms from a perspective that made them look more spacious than they were. It states that the hut is architecturally designed. Well THAT is a shock!! It is extremely basic I have to say. Finishes in the bathroom were very nice and in the kitchenette but everything else was very ordinary. Decks and back yard were extremely tiny. Not a place to return to at the end of an outing and enjoy sitting in for any length of time. Very dark inside when you woke in the morning. The write up about the accommodation mentions a number of features to attract you that I feel are incorrect - such as that it has quality linen as one of it's outstanding features - NOT TRUE!! Very basic & cheap! Donna very crumbled and "used". Furniture is mentioned to be top quality - that I also disagree with! Because we were limited to pet-friendly accommodation, we appreciated getting something, but it was not as advertised. For an island experience, the position gave you the feeling of anything BUT...
