Alba Group is proud to present you Leones de Alba, located in the most iconic corner of Cartagena at Old town. This colonial mansion has 9 privates balconies with street views at the first floor and at the second floor one of the biggest balcony in town 70 m2.

Is also the only 24k gold leaves pools in South America, one in the courtyard & one in the rooftop with cathedral view and sunset deck with sea view with the best point of view of the modern and colonial town

Leones de Alba Hotel Boutique is an marvelous colonial mansión with 10 Luxury suites and rooms as tribute to colonial architecture because of his 2 levels of colonial balconies. We have a total of 17 beds, king, queen and double. The maximum capacity is 34 guests.

The villa is located less than 1 min of the best spot in town bar restaurant shops. In Leones de alba you will have a first line experience of the Caribbean lifestyle in the colonial town of Cartagena.

We have a private luxury boat of 47 ft for our clients: day trips to the Rosario islands are one of a kind and cost 2500 USD for the full day with captain, bartender, and waiter on board to take care of you the whole day from 9AM to 5PM.

We can arrange a Private Airport Transfer in our own Mercedes GLE 450 SUV, for 250 USD per way, for up to 6 passengers. We also have other Mercedes vehicles available of different sizes, for larger and smaller parties.

Fantastic accommodations

Leones de Alba was everything the listing promises and more. The staff are exceptional and the set up is perfect for a large group wanting to hang out but also have some private room for sleeping and getting ready. Communication with the host is easy and they are so helpful. We LOVED our stay and hopefully will be back!

Beautiful Property with All the Amenties

We had a wonderful holiday stay. Beautiful property with some of the kindest greatest staff. We had such a wonderful time. The attention to detail is amazing. The concierge was wonderful and made sure we were well taken care of. We highly recommend.

Beautiful Property with Amazing Staff!

The property was historic and beautiful. Rooms were nicely appointed. Bar and Dining easily fit 24 of us for breakfast daily. The breakfast spreads were delicious! Lots of variety. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. The house butler assisted with our itinerary and planning and everything was executed wonderfully! Including a full birthday dinner and performance at the hotel. We had a a great time.

Great, But Not as Expected

Shortly before the pandemic, I reserved the whole property for Nov 2020. When the pandemic happened, we weren’t sure what the future would hold so we requested to cancel our reservation and the hotel refused. They now appear to allow cancellations up to 30 days out. The only option they offered us was to change the dates, so we pushed to Nov 2021 and hoped for the best. Leading up to the trip, my cohost and I spent many hours planning the details with the hotel butler. He was very responsive on text and phone, made recommendations, created itineraries, etc. On the day of our arrival, my cohost and I had flight trouble, and most of our friends ended up arriving before us. We started getting confusing texts from our guests, which said that they’d been moved to another property. I texted the butler to ask what was going on and that’s how I learned that the street had electrical damage and they’d moved us to the sister property - Casa de Alba. It was just as nice of a property, but unfortunately only had 7 rooms (we paid for 13 rooms). We planned for everyone to have private rooms, but with this change, the only choice we were left with was for several people to share rooms, which was not ideal. It was also very disappointing that no one from the hotel communicated this massive change to us, and we had to find out from our guests. Additionally, upon our arrival, the staff was very confused and unaware of many of the details that we had spent months prearranging. We tried calling the butler for help and to clarify things, and his response was to yell at us. He felt that we should just be happy to be there, despite these issues. Eventually we had to hang up the phone and chose to limit our interaction with him for the rest of the trip. Fortunately the GM, Thomas, was there in person and was unbelievably helpful. He quickly started fixing things and by the next morning he had everything under control and back on track. He’s truly the best. We proceeded to have a very nice stay at Casa de Alba because of Thomas. The entire staff was also awesome and incredibly helpful throughout. The only negative was that there was barely any hot water for showers. In the end, the only compensation we received for the hotel switch was a comped breakfast and a few free drinks. We had a great time, but are disappointed that they didn’t do more to compensate us for the fact that we paid for 5 more rooms than we received. Despite the rocky start, Casa de Alba was very nice.

Amazing Stay

This property was just as listed. The staff was amazing and the food was even better. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure that our party was satisfied. I would highly recommend this property!

Wonderful, Clean and Beautiful Property!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this boutique hotel. We were in town from FL for a girlfriends wedding. None of us had been to Cartagena before. The hotel staff was extremely accommodating and gave us recommendations of things to do and places to eat. They helped us make reservations each night for dinner. One morning we had the chef prepare us breakfast and it was delicious! The house is beautiful and looks just as pictured on VRBO. The rooftop lookout has incredible views. There are quite a few steps in this property so if you have a tough time with stairs take that into consideration. The maids cleaned each of our rooms daily and brought fresh towels. This property is a true gem and we all enjoyed our time here!!

Beautiful house, excellent location, wonderful hosts/staff!

We stayed at Leones de Alba for 3 nights, and had an excellent experience! The house is charming and very well maintained, and very centrally located in Old Town. The house staff is exceptional - they helped us plan our trip, were always available to help during our stay, and paid immense amount of attention to detail. We cannot thank them enough, especially Juan and Hernan! We hope to visit again soon!

Centrally Located Paradise -- Perfect NYE Trip

We just flew back to San Diego after spending 8 nights at Leones De Alba for NYE in Cartagena. This was our second stay in Old Town as we came to Cartagena with a big group five years ago for NYE. Outside of Cartagena being an amazing town, this newly remodeled residence was well equipped. Each room had excellent air conditioning, was cleaned to perfection each day, and the location was only one block away from the main square. We had a small issue with the hot water in one room, and the air conditioning in another, but they were resolved literally within thirty minutes. We were very pleased, and would stay again! 5 Stars ;)
