Property was lovely and a short walk to the beach. The dogs had the best time except for the briars they accumulated in their fur walking through the dunes. It was a short stay but very accommodating. The weather was perfect which made the stay even better.

My husband and I had an amazing stay at Dawn’s Cottage! The house was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. Gina was super responsive and accommodating. The location was perfect — just a short walk to the beach — and our pups had the best time running and playing in the sand. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway and would absolutely stay here again!

Our stay was a great experience. The house was clean and nicely decorated. Gina was very easy to contact and the check-in process was very easy. The location is convenient and it’s only steps from the beach. The outdoor shower and hose were also great features! We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing beach vacation!

Wonderful place just across from the beach

The property is on a quiet road with beach access directly across the street. The beach is quiet, only a couple of other families even during a peak week in July - some days we had the beach entirely to ourselves! Waves were calm, you will not be surfing here, but it is perfect for a young child's visit to the ocean, and great for frisbee, kites, and waveballs. The cottage was very well maintained and clean. Kitchen was well stocked, it had everything we needed for cooking. Great water pressure in the showers! Outdoor hose and shower was very convenient for rinsing off after a day at the beach. WiFi worked well with half a dozen devices connected. Gina responded promptly to questions before the rental and the check-in process was super simple. Our pet enjoyed the stay too! Fantastic experience, thank you very much Gina. Highly recommended if you are looking for a quiet spot at the beach.

This house was everything we needed, super clean, and we had a great time. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and the nice quiet neighborhood. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was perfect. The only things we ran into that were less than ideal was not knowing we needed to bring our own sheets! So keep that in mind when booking! My husband was not too thrilled to have to run to the walmart at 10:30 at night on a Sunday to get us some! And the cactus in the backyard that our dog kept stepping on (Not the owner's fault, definitely our dog's fault) The bugs were pretty awful because of this year's crazy rain, and my daughter was stung by a jellyfish within 2 minutes of being in the water. But again, none of that was the owner's fault, and is not meant to be negative about her home or the neighborhood! Just have to be real!

Terrific Stay on the Beach

The cottage was just as advertised - extremely clean and comfortable with all the amenities we needed, including fast wifi, a great deck, and a very neat outdoor shower, in addition to two indoor showers. Just steps from a very clean and quiet beach with plenty of seashells, clear warm water, great sunrises, and zero crowds. It is effectively a private beach that we all greatly enjoyed. Thanks for a great stay. We look forward to returning in the future.

Amazing!

My family and I had a wonderful stay! The house was extremely clean. I have a crawling baby on the floor so, I was thankful! Beach access was close, area was quiet. Streets are walkable. Donuts at the local Broadkill store made our stay extra sweet. I will definitely book again.

Beautiful Mother’s Day Weekend Stay

Our stay at the cottage was fantastic! The location was beautiful and quiet and just a quick walk to the beach. The house was very clean upon our arrival. The host was a great communicator and answered messages quickly. We loved that we could bring our dog. We would definitely consider staying here again!

Relaxing and quiet getaway

Dawn's Cottage was perfect!! We were looking for a quiet beach neighborhood between Frederica and Rehobeth and it absolutely fit the bill. One road in and out and nestled between some marsh and the ocean, everything was clean and neat, the space was roomy and had all the amenities we needed, and communication was just about instantaneous. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for the same.

Great Stay at Dawn's Cottage

My wife, son and our dog spent three days and nights at Dawn's cottage which we enjoyed very much. The house was exactly as described and with two bedrooms and baths, it was the right size for our little group. We sat out on the front deck in the mornings for coffee, reading and chatting, then strolled across the street to the beach... very convenient. Although it was a bit breezy while we were there, we walked on the beach every morning and afternoon plus spent time fishing and flying our kite. Our dog especially liked the many new smells on the shore. All in all, an excellent break from our usual hectic routines, and we will try to return in the Fall. Thank you.

Perfect Getaway!

Dawn's Cottage is absolutely adorable and the perfect place to decompress, relax, and celebrate my birthday and our anniversary. Loved the remote location and beach access, yet still easy to get to Lewes & Rehoboth. We enjoyed trying out some of the hot spots in the helpful binder of local restaurants and attractions. Thanks Gina and Rodney for being such great hosts!

The house was very nice, however The location is not the best. The beach is very isolated and has a lot of dead Horseshoe Crabs. There was a 25 to half an hour drive to a market and or entertainment. The location is very inconvenient to someone with a small child not to mention the smell of the beach. Or marsh

A perfect end of summer vacation

This is the second time we stayed here and I can't say enough about how satisfied we were/are with the location and property/accommodations (satisfied with the cleanliness too!). It is comfortable to hang and watch tv, to cook and enjoy a meal together or sit on the wrap around porch/deck and talk. The bedroom w/ attached shower/powder is a plus (although petite!), washer and dryer - great, the proximity to the beach and the privacy/lack of crowds is wonderful. The trip to Lewes, Henlopen, Rehoboth and beaches/site south is very doable for an evening - even the obligatory OC Boardwalk visit is only about 1 hr one way. This trip, we ventured to Trap Pond State Park and canoed, it was lovely! Finally, we travel with dogs and they love the beach walks and wading and hanging on the deck with Mom and Dad! Thank you Gina - we really enjoyed our vacation at Dawn's Cottage!

Short Stay - Amazong Time

The location is perfect for families. Leads to a quiet area of the beach. The house was clean and functioning. We were able to stay at the beach and come back to the house easily! Was everything we needed for a family of 5. Only recommendation is to bring bug spray because after 3pm, the flies are aggressive.

Consistently Great

This was our third time staying at Dawn’s cottage, and it never disappoints. The house itself is always clean, no issues with the check in process, and host is a pleasure to work with. Gina is very communicative and helpful with any and all questions. We will continue to come back to this house every summer as long as it’s available.
